NMS reminds me a lot of what destiny started off like (and may still be like). I like both, and it took forever to break my destiny addiction.
Sounds like the n4g article about refunds despite time played was a lie, and it tricked enough people who have already played and enjoyed the game to try getting a refund unethically. Enough people must have attempted this that steam was getting tired of the requests and put that info right on the NMS page so people would quit trying.
The soar XB1 players sure are trying extra hard to kill this game, and I bet even a few star citizen fanboys are in on it as well worried...
Its amazing how far the salty XB1 fanboys FUD went with NMS. Its like an episode right out of House of Cards in regards to how well coordinated and executed it was to completely destroy the games image.

I grew up with the SNES being my first console, never gamed much on the NES which we never had. So as a result for me I prefer the game library on the SNES more than I do the NES. So if Nintendo ever releases a neato mini SNES (or N64) I'm jumping all over that, but will pass on the mini NES.

I always preferred going the stealthy route in deus ex games (it was never meant to be a standard shoot-em up type of game) and I have always had a ton of fun. So I'm glad to see that stealth is still such a big part of the game, can't wait to play when I get home from work tonight!

Would be interesting if this price raise was for something like 2-3 free backward compatible PS1/2/3 games a month (meaning you won't need the original game to play). Would be a smart move on Sony's part, especially given the good reception to MS's backward compatibility program they started not too long ago.

Sorry, but if my gtx970, with something like 7.4 tflops, isn't even close to having enough power for 4k, let alone 1080p with all settings maxed in current release games, them the Scorpio with 6tflops doesn't stand a chance.
However I will give the benefit of the doubt to super talented devs optimizing like crazy to achieve 4k games, but those games will be few and far between. Also I won't discount lightweight indie games or regular games running absolute min...
Its a shame the days of demos is almost completely gone. I used to buy games I never would have even given a second look at if I hadn't played the demo. And in general I bought more games after playing demos than not buying the game because of the demo.
Perhaps the reviews with higher scores are actually reviewing the game (story, gameplay, characters, fun factor etc), not the technical aspect of the game.
@gangsta - nice try, but you clearly have not played the game and are attempting to spread misinformation. The varience in the planets is crazy, only bitter xb1 trolls would like to believe the only difference is the color of the sky or grass.

Played last night for a few hours after installing the patch, no issues for me. Although I've only had a few issues with the game in general, out of the ~25 hours of gameplay so far. So at the very least the patch didn't make things worse for me.
Whoever leads console sales usually doesn't want cross platform. Last gen when MS was ahead, they didn't want it even though Sony was open to the idea. This gen MS is open to the idea but Sony doesn't want it.
Reason being is that in popular online games, whoever has the largest pool of players will see more sales for that game on that console. As matchmaking is faster and more random in general. So its obvious why the underdog of whatever gen would want cross...
I do use an xb1 controller, for my pc. And honestly I think it is horrible. Uncomfortable and the ergonomics for the thumb sticks are no good. Left stick needs to be where the dpad is and vice verse, as that is naturally where your thumbs sit (ds4 has this down).
Also the shoulder buttons on x1 controller are awful as well, have to contort my finger almost uncomfortably to reach. And is not a natural position.

I'll admit that I am a Sony fanboy, but I cannot deny that Sony would be making quite a mistake if the Neo truly is only around 4.5 tflops and the Scorpio is around 6. Because as it stands now having both the power advantage as well as the exclusive advantage is huge. Losing one of those advantages will be detrimental.
