Might have to dust off the PSVR for this. Haven't used it in nearly two years. And it's been at least as long, if not longer, since I've played NMS.
Days Gone being so successful is basically a nice big middle finger to the fake news gaming media "reviewers" who tried thier hardest to No Man's Sky it into the ground.
Bend definitely deserves the strong sales. For me, Days Gone is the best game I've played in 2019 by far.
As soon as this gets new game + I am going for another adventure through the game. It's nice they are doing these challenges, but I really have no reason to bother with them. Challenges and leaderboard stuff is more for MP games.
Not sure if they plan for story DLC or not, but I really hope they do.
Fake news. I find it hilarious that you have to play devil's advocate to get a response like that.
The SJWs are really getting desperate, aren't they?
With a resume of ME Andromeda, they are kinda pulling from the bottom of the barrel here. It's like if Ferrari announced they are getting engineers who worked on the Ford Pinto to help them with their next performance car.
Wonder when we will see an article titled "Main character of Gears 5 will now be a gender-fluid transgender person to be more diverse and inclusive."
Perfect Dark had some really awesome styled music. Mysterious and powerful. Still gives me chills thinking back to when I first played the game. Ah, those were the good ol days.
QD was never a true first party studio anyway, Sony just bought the exclusivity of their games. Just like MS buying timed exclusivity to games like Tomb Raider. QD has always been a multiplat developer at heart. They are in no way similar to true Sony first party devs like Naughty Dog and Guerilla.
That's the thing though, just look at what talented developers are able to accomplish on limited hardware. Games such as Uncharted 4, Horizon Zero Dawn and God of War are incredibly good looking games. Arguably they are some of the best looking this generation on any platform. If raytracing is to become an efficient standard, we need the likes of powerhouse developers like Naughtydog, Guerrilla and other Sony studios working their magic on it.
Days Gone sucess is well deserved. Reviewers did their best to destroy the game, but in the end real gamers figured out how good it really was and spread the word.
Don't forget, there is free DLC coming within the next few months I believe.
But still, a sequel would be awesome.
RTX is where the generational leap will come from. It really is quite amazing tech that drastically changes the way games look on a fundamental level.
Would be awesome if true. No multiplayer = more polished and fleshed out SP.
I don't even like zombie games, yet I couldn't stop playing Days Gone. I ended up Platniuming it (it is a reasonable Platnium to obtain, which I appreciate). I personally thought the story and character interactions were exceptional, and was a heck of a lot longer than I expected. There was about 3-4 points in the game where it felt like it could have ended right then and there... but it just kept going. In fact, I am eagerly waiting for the free DLC to drop so I can jump back into th...
Makes sense Days Gone sales are still strong a month out. Initially all the fake negative reviews scared a lot of people away. But once gamers started to play it, word of mouth spread that it was actually quite a dang good game. So those initially scared away from a day 1 purchase went back after release to pick it up.
The business is about the games. And that is literally the worst part about the Xbox... Very few exclusives. Sony wins every generation because it is where the games are at. It's kinda important for certain people, ie gamers.
It's a bit worrying seeing the xb1 box in the front of the stack. Reminds me of last gen. Wonder if MS is going to pay for timed console exclusivity or if they got marketing rights.
Just finished up Days Gone last night and also platinumed it. It was one hell of an experience, and is most definitely a criminally underrated game. Glad they are adding some new skins and gameplay content. Can't wait until they add some story DLC though, as there are still plenty of unanswered questions regarding the lore and some of the characters.
Well Lynx/Axe is mainly used by preteens and young teens, so this is s fitting partnership.
Wonder if Sony will partner up with Creed to make a PlayStation fragrance for adults?
Big difference between Sony supported studios and MS just flat out buying a company that already made a game without thier help.
Although I will hand it to MS for making the decision to buy MC. Definitely a wise investment.
