Oni actually had some promising things about it, but there's no doubt that one was rushed out the door and Halo was given all the attention.
In fact, I think Oni was actually made my a new division of Bungie (west coast?) that was dismantled shortly thereafter.
I liked these games too, back in the day. But will I buy them and play them again? No, because by today's standards they'll suck. I already have a lot of older games in my collection, and guess what? They never get played.
And MS has slowly, very slowly, been improving on their console sales in Japan. I wish I knew what the Japanese wanted to play, and you can bet MS is wondering as well.
I think it will be very interesting towards the end of the year. How pissed off do you think the Japanese will be when only 100,000 ps3's are available? And they have something far more horrible to contend with: those systems are being sold at "market rate"...as in, whatever the retailer thinks he c...
1) The only people talking trash here are Sony people.
2) I don't care if this game gets shared. It's an okay game, but I wouldn't buy a console for it....actually, I wouldn't buy the game itself!
3) Alien, you need to calm down...take a moment to think about what you're writing, because what you're throwing out here is a paragraph full of gibberish that could have taken one sentence.
Bungie started with Marathon, they refined it to Halo...I'd love to see them go in a different direction, see what they can do.
When talking about the ps3 and the 360, it is apples and oranges. You don't need the hd on the 360 to play games. You never will.
This bundle is what I would call an option. SOme gamers might like to watch hi-def movies. Well, here's a bundle that lets you do that...it even comes with two movies.
And let's face it, in Europe gamers are not being given the option of the ps3 until March. You ps3 fans heckling the 360 are missing the point. MS is delivering on...
The combat is interesting, but the dialogue for this game just goes on and on and on....and the thing is, if you're not interested in the dialogue, then you're not interested in the story. And if you're not interested in the story, then the combat becomes somewhat pointless.
I'm only 4 hours in, so maybe it gets better.
It's not a bigger launch if you're forsaking Europe and almost completely ignoring Japan.
It's almost nice to see Sony try a pr move at this point, but frankly they've said too much and produced too little. Sony, bring your console to market...then we'll talk.
Oh, one other thing. The limited numbers of 360's was also due to the fact that they were shared globally. It upset people, but I agree with the sentiment that I'd rather give everyone a chance to get one. ...
This game can't come soon enough. Talk about a game that will rock Japan's world.
I can't beat the helicopter. Stupid helicopter!
I think if you're an investor, or a shareholder of Sony, you need to pay attention to what's going on here. A second delay, and expected units on release day cut by 75%...yet Sony still putting out press releases that all is fine, that they will still be on target by their financial year end.
Companies answer to the shareholders, and I think the shareholders need to be asking a few questions.
Ninja Gaiden...argh! It's so hard!
But you know what? I respect that. I'm looking forward to getting my ass handed to me with NG2!
If you're a game developer, you need to sell your game, you need a console out on the market to sell it on...and the ps3 keeps getting delayed.
Expect some last minute deals coming out of TGS. There's loyalty, and then there's business.
Put this into perspective as to how big an f up this really is. Sony saw MS's release and shortages, and had time to prepare. Remember, they were originally going to do a spring '06 release?
They had all that time to plan a perfect release, and they squandered it.
If game developers delay a product, it means they want to improve it. I never view that as a bad thing.
I think sometimes it's because comments have started on one submission, and not the other. That's the only real reason I can think of...
I have to disagree. I can watch movies at the higher definition as well...but I won't pay 40 dollars for a movie. And that's where this next-gen dvd thing falls apart.
Better picture, yes. But not worth the cost.
I'm happy to see some more variety of games on the 360. And it looks good...people are complaining about things other than the actual gameplay. A traditional JRPG isn't a bad thing to be called, lot's of people love these games.
And am I the only one that finds really bad voice acting to be funny?
I'm too busy for all these games! I've already got Saints Row going, Enchanted Arms on the way, barely even started Ninja Gaiden Black...
Let me tell you, this is a nice problem to have. (=
They'll never put the hd-dvd drive inside the 360, because of the cost. The present design allows the 360 to lower in manufacturing costs over time, so there's a possibility of MS breaking even on the console, or even make a small profit. That goes out the window if they throw in a hd-dvd drive.
They're much better off sticking with the external drive. One question about the drive...will it upscale normal dvd's?
