Why does this blurb think I should feel disappointment about a solid 30 fps? That doesn't bother me.
And we get to see and play Blue Dragon this year? That is awesome!
Major Nelson: It’s all about giving people choice. We’re not telling gamers that they need to pay for it. I’m really worried that gamers are going to become collateral damage in a DVD format war. Do we want that? Of course not! We’re saying that you can get the Xbox 360 as a great gaming and entertainment console, and if you want to watch HD-DVDs on it you can buy an add-on. But if you don’t want it, you don’t have to have it! You can pick and choose. We’re not forcing you to pay for somethin...
I usually agree with his posts as well, but having multiple usernames weirds me out. And you have to admit he goes off on these tangents as opposed to responding to the article, and he repeats a lot of the information over and over.
RealDeal, I like you but I can't disagree with the reduction in bubbles. It may even turn out to be a good thing for you, allow you to get your point out and learn how to be more concise about the issues.
I think you make a good p...
That's my guess. And I don't think it's that big, I've heard it's the size of three dvd cases.
Look forward to hearing about it at X06 or TGS. If it's a couple hundred I may consider it as a purchase. I have Netflix so I can rent 'em.
I know you probably won't want to post names of people with multiple accounts, but I'd love to know who had the most accounts. Not naming names, just "one persong we caught had 6 accounts!"
I'm betting on 6.
Argh! This rumour is the worst, and it keeps popping up! I don't care whether they decide to bring out a 360 with an internal hd-dvd, but they will not bring out games on hd-dvd for the life of this system.
I don't think anyone can deny that Sony is starting production on these things far too late. As for the shortage of blue diodes, I wanted to ask...Blu-Ray and Hd-dvd both use the blue laser diodes, right? So is it possible that Toshiba has in effect cornered the supply of those diodes? I haven't heard anything from Toshiba or MS about a delay in getting their hd-dvd out.
I'm glad you have a way to track people using multiple usernames, and limit people to one username.
And I think limiting comments has helped. I'm not sure why people would need to comment more than five times for a particular story, although sometimes people do spin off into tangents.
Multiple accounts are a waste of my time. It means I'm reading someones opinion several times over...why are people (and I say people in general so as I don't point fingers) waste their time making crap up?
And on a different note, and I do apologize in advance...anyone look at that guys username and think it says liquified fart? That catches my eye every time.
Why would people want to pretend to be other people anyway? Do they honestly think it provides support to their arguments?
I know it worked with an episode of The Simpsons when Barney wanted someone to get more beer...but that was for beer.
Heh...I almost want to create a not_islandkiwi account and then reply "I agree!" after everything I write.
This is not a difficult topic to understand. MS makes you pay a fee, and as a result they maintain the servers and quality control.
Sony will offer online play for free, but leave it to the developers to supply the infrastructure. So the cost is being passed on to the developer. And the developer can choose to pass it on to you.
Even with X-Fire, it sounds like the same scenario they had with the ps2, and I don't see that as a good thing.
What you guys did to the Packers on Sunday was just so cruel. I loved it.
But I also love the Wii release...I'm imagining them at the Tokyo Game Show being asked when it's being released, and them saying "this Monday!"
I don't think any of us work in manufacturing, but judging by MS's 67 day production prior to release, I think Sony can make their stated numbers for release day. As for years end or corporate year end numbers...I find those harder to swallow.
At the same time they are cutting it too close, and not allowing for testing/quality assurance. My opinion is they're better off building surplus and launching globally in February or March.
I look at it this way. They w...
Funny how someone disagreed with Jin's opinion. Jin, apparently your opinion is wrong!
I agree with this article that it will come down to the games. Does Sony provide a significantly bettergaming experience than I get with the 360 or the Wii? And to be fair, we haven't seen much (if any) of the actual gaming experience.
I do believe, though, that price is a killer for mass market appeal. Especially if you're looking for consumers shortly after Christmas and just prior to us having to pay taxes.
What Sony shows at TGS may help some people decide.
I didn't get much out of this op piece, other than the guy can't spell amazing.
So nice to see a console being packaged with a game. If it's true. And two controllers! Wow!
Latest issue of EGM gave Rule of Rose a 4.5/5.0/4.0 (Three reviewers judging on scale of 1-10).
I rent games before I buy, unless it's a game I know is a keeper.
I'm sure developers would like this, but me no likey. Bad trend to start, I'm thinking rumour.
And no one told me?
It's not real, MS is focusing on Vista, the 360, they're announcing Zune tomorrow...I can't imagine them trying to invade the portable gaming market at this time.
