people also said that about a phone with no buttons on it... joe the construction worker is important, but few of us have the foresight to know how tech can be adapted to compel him to adopt it.
i might have felt this way when oculus was just a kickstarter project, but once you've got billions getting invested in it, there will be a LOT of motivation by a lot of VERY smart people to make this compelling.
into virtual reality, or disc-based media, or the internet, or high definition, or third-party favor, or actual reality...
love love love nintendo, but have grown pretty tired of their 'patient' (but more like stubborn/arrogant) stance on nearly every video game trend that they are not directly responsible for.
this is japan. with how little share xbox has, one could argue even halo is playstation exclusive out there...
draw distance is amazing, but the core art/assets are not much better than PC/ultra version of say borderlands 2. still really good, but doesn't scream next gen... it's not going for a super realistic far cry type look though. there's a certain sci-fi slightly animated look to it all. does the job though; hope the missions become more interesting than hall and room firefights though... level design seems smart and the atmosphere so far is interesting
instant vehicle was a nice surprise. graphics are a little underwhelming for me: kinda has a borderlands drawn feel... definitely an alpha... but I like this trigger button jump convention that is starting to stick (thanks titanfall)
it already got big stage love; almost none of the e3 2014 content was a revisit of previous major press conference presented stuff, except maybe destiny and the order
it's definitely a much stronger message than 'all in one' was. i'm a fan of the new tagline
a nice effort to make a sensible choice. mistakenly put evolve under microsoft as an exclusive, but otherwise as fair or balanced a comparison as one could hope to do. pretty sure if a person cares that much about games, getting both would be the right choice...
Congrats to the team! What a proud year it must be for them. Very nicely done despite the incredible competition out there.
great 3D implementation. was totally surprised by that
oh, snap. 3D. they're gonna have 3D content. what better place to show off the morpheus experience than in a 3D theater?
sounds really fun! what a great way to enjoy an event and even make new friends. brilliant! wish my town wasn't so big (all sold out already). incredible that it's free, too! ballsy
Ah. Thanks both. Bubbles.
only downside to the panel was the giggling schmuck who treated troy like a circus animal and asked him to say lines, including one from a different game. troy was impressive with his composure and patience, but man, that dude... you're probably on this site. it's not too late to apologize to @TroyBakerVA
the article has 4,3/10. does that translate to 6.5 somehow?
i'll read the article eventually, but 'gpgpu rendering' already sounds a bit off the mark. i always thought gpgpu is all about using silicon/resources that were traditionally used for rendering (the GPU) for compute as well.
photo mode. that's all i ask. i'll handle finding a hanky for the drool.
nice! it remote plays nicely, but a native experience would be ideal, especially while traveling. also give me a good excuse to put CoL down to fire up transistor tonight!
resogun.. still among my favorite ps4 experiences to date... so tight. so beautiful. so damn hard and addictive...
well, there was definitely a somewhat lengthy (and pretty) load screen before starting each destination (and I'm using a full SSD, too), but yeah no loading once you're starting up and exploring. favorite feature is definitely the instant vehicle and hop off. using it in the middle of gunfights was trippy
