down to sprint is one of my favorite things ever. why is that a problem? i even prefer it to pushing down the stick on a dualshock
yayhem
free spotify no less.. quite brilliant
wish it had won the ps plus contest... but glad it's getting reviewed well
femshep!
I'd actually prefer they try something new and more interesting, but keep a legacy mode as well that's straight up ATB, random encounters, etc.
who knows how feasible that would be to develop, but would certainly help cover their bases. if they do a decent job, i'm sure a bunch of people will give the new mode a serious whirl if nothing but for novelty's sake.
those battery banks people use for their phones works just as well if you want to charge without plugging into the wall or something. you can probably get like 10x the charge with one of those bigger ones.
some people care, but i don't think enough people care where it would be worth the additional cost (think back to ps3 fat vs. ps3 slim). and i highly doubt ps4 can emulate ps3 from a software perspective the way an xbox one can emulate a 360, given how different the ps3 architecture was.
you can already use a DS4 on many PS3 titles btw... but yeah, not sure about the audio part. but at least as a controller.
yeah, barely utilized it on ps3. popped in a few ps2 games early on, but the point of the purchase was to move forward! early adopters don't buy consoles to play old gen games. and by the time the later adopters jump in, there is so much of a new library to play with that the old stuff just isn't worth going back to.
ps3 emulation would be near impossible to get working sufficiently well on a ps4 i imagine as well. short of putting cell chips in every ps4, this just i...
media coverage at launch was very positive, yes. but the community/player sentiments around that game are much more mixed and critical today (pick your metric: metacritic user score = 8.5. amazon 5 star review rate <70%, compared to like 85% for TLOU). few cite it as one of their 'top 10' or whatever from the last gen. and to me, I think that's too bad.
negative sentiments on BI have stemmed from a variety of places:

he does make a valid bioshock infinite comparison, which i sometimes agree with (and with a lead voiced by the same actor no less).
TLOU was a bit more 'realistic' in its presentation and didn't really engage the imagination and wonder quite as much as the world of bioshock infinite did. TLOU also wasn't quite making as much commentary on gaming itself as I felt that bioshock did. Bioshock was also a father/daughter-ish tale as well, but one that was self-awa...
for what it's worth, there are more GOTY awards now than ever before as well ;)
# of GOTYs as % of all available would be a bit more of a fair comparison I suppose.
hot damn
dammit. these games.. yeah, this is something.
music a little heavy handed at times, but they definitely got the tone and style of PT for sure. and for that reason, probably not going to touch this with a ten foot pole...
i think a superman game could be an adventure strategy game about maintaining your secret identity and protecting your loved ones (with permadeath, xcom style). it's a given that superman can defeat anyone straight up, but he still can't be in two places at the same time... and he still spends his days dressed up and in glasses. it would have to play as a stealth game while in clark kent mode. and you get different endings depending on how you live your life as clark. instead of supe...
the wonderful footage was probably not real. and well, yeah, good move then i guess... but seriously, these guys are one of a kind.
people knew what they were 'paying' for... no one said you had to give $10,000 and have dinner with Yu. But, if someone out there is willing, why not let them? For many, the fun of being part of the movement is well worth the price of admission.
and what if sony said, 'never mind; we're good. take your money back. we're going to do it all ourselves.' and cancelled all the rewards? how would that make everyone feel?
is quantum break still 2015?
wasn't twighlight princess already exactly what the wii needed? so many generations of need!
