crazy, they're selling more ps4's in europe than in north america. that market share in europe for sony is absurd. you'd think an american company would have an easier time in europe than a japanese one... go figure.
interesting. despite all the focus on ps4, microsoft actually managed to have as many copies of destiny out there for its consoles as sony (~1.2m each). that being said, anecdotally based on people I know I am quite confident that destiny is selling systems for sony which will help a ton for them in the long haul... but for the game itself microsoft managed to hold its own pretty well. must've been that fragrance they released.
and the crazy thing is how much better this $330 one is than the one they were selling just LAST WEEK (i stupidly just bought a 770 a couple months ago due to sales/rebates). the 970/980 can probably run 4K circles around the PS4 now- that's a given. but this update is exactly what is so darn frustrating about being a PC gamer. you can't help but feel lame every few months when the money you spent feels like a waste. i actually LOVE that the PS4 is young and will be what it is for yea...
on the flipside, there is the small chance even a rare engram nets you a legendary. but yeah, good luck with that... after a day of sleep-inducing loot farming, i've gone back to just racking up reputation and just buying the darn things. much more fun that way...
free edition list is short, but hits a lot of nice notes... disappointed it's not more complete, but should be plenty to work with out the gate. can't wait!

unfortunately, ps3 players can't play with ps4 players in the same game though. at least that's definitely the case with the crucible. you can both play and develop your characters and stuff, but you can't technically play 'together'
but you can set up a second ps4 and sign in with the owner's account and download a second copy there. people don't know this, but downloads sort of let you share it across 2 machines like this.
what is there to agree or disagree with? that activision is cashing those checks or that sony/microsoft are writing them?
i don't find either side of the deal to be more 'wrong' than the other...
maybe gamers should complain to microsoft for not reaching into their wallets and making a better offer to activision and getting this kind of treatment for the Xbox platforms.

I'm sure it will be a great experience on XB1/XBL, but it's ok if things start off bumpy, even on XBL. It happens. Happens to Steam, to Battle.net, to PSN, and to XBL
this might surprise people, but there is a chance that minecraft actually is a bigger launch than destiny. that game sells like bonkers. and the fact that it is trying to implement some cross platform stuff, this isn't tooo surprising. but yeah, monday night/tuesday has a good chance of being pretty broken. because video games.
that's a turbo clock that probably requires 3 of the 4 cores (per module) to be unused to spread the heat. i wouldn't be surprised if the ps4 (and xbox one) is already doing this actually.

MCC will ride the wave of nostalgia to a pot of gold for sure. live online multiplayer on classic maps is HUGE money. even without updated graphics. but I am a bit worried based on some recent previews done in terms of the updated graphics. but yeah, the old stuff even as is will sell systems.
but will it be a 'boom' enough to stop this ps4 train? highly highly doubt it... and D4 is dead on arrival given its roots in kinect. and forza horizon is probably on even foot...
