honestly, with how much a theme the bathroom is in the demo, i actually think a bathroom might be the scariest place to play the game! i dare you to close the door and turn off the lights!
i love how half-life 3 made the cut. brilliant.
very interesting that it sold better on X1 than 360. hard to imagine that would have been the case without the 'delay' on 360...
hand grease imagination.
transistor was awesome on vita. wish there were more button mapping options, but the gameplay and art totally worked fine over the network. i even pulled off a couple hours of that game from 1,000 miles away totally fine. was very happy that night.
it's a positive perspective on it, sure. but I think the game library right now reflects the equivalent of the kinds of media you see available on netflix: older, fairly obscure content with the occasional AAA once-upon-a-time blockbuster.
Features I'd like to see:
- rent extension discounts: i.e. if you rented for 4 hours, don't charge for a full 7 day rental should I decide to keep going. let me just pay the difference. same for the next tiers
- ...
this opinion is truth, in my opinion.
i don't know, i think 4k will take even longer than bluray/1080p did to stick... i think the mainstream will have an even harder time thinking 4K is worth the price premium for their TVs than they did for 3D. At least 3D had things like Avatar and what not to expand their imaginations. but 4K is a tough sell when 1080p still looks pretty darn good...
man, those multiplayer trophies are daunting. how long did those take you?
NICE
that audio tweaking sounds awesome. and bioshock style audio notes. the little things. very much appreciate it!
super-sampling. it's a way to prevent aliasing. render at 4K then display at 1080p.
Yeah, weird to see that at first. But, the optimistic view would be that they left the option for those who find the smoothness of 60fps for cinematic games kind of jarring.
But given the variable framerates both Killzone and Second Son used, hard not to make assumptions...
most loved? really?
i think it will be a lot better with the improved hardware; it really only had its looks going for it, so might as well max those out.. but most loved is a bit of a stretch

@shivvy24 remote play is great for so many of these indies. they look much better than direct ports would have and play just fine. i enjoy my PC, but I also was sorely disappointed when I went for my first platinum on Steam and was disappointed to see that there isn't such a thing... the game was bioshock infinite, and it even already had DLC achievements there (before they even released any), so I couldn't even enjoy the 100%
transistor's use of the DS4 was magical. and not to mention that lovely plat(). I also managed to play a solid couple hours of that game on my vita via remote play from more than a thousand of miles away (was very surprised by the lack of latency).
PC is great, but if prices are the same (as they usually are for new titles) no reason not to enjoy some of these indies on a console (especially with the ease of sharing and broadcasting as well)
absolutely true. this feature is not nearly as compelling as a new halo game. if ps4 stole halo somehow, then perhaps the headline might be appropriate.
it doesn't disable as much as mirrors the console. if you use remote play on a vita, the TV display is still live. but yeah, it's simply for the person who likes to play in 2 different rooms and doesn't want to unplug and reinstall the console back and forth (which includes me).
should be noted that remote play does lock the framerate down to 30 and drops the resolution, too, so it's not going to be a 1:1 reproduction of the original screen...
@Benjammin25
use whatever you use with your cell phone. don't you have a free set of earbuds with mic laying around? there must be literally billions of them floating around the world by now with all the iphones, etc that are out there. grab one and plug it into your controller. done.
otherwise, go ahead and spend the 8 dollars/euros/etc it would cost to get a generic set... sony made it pretty darn simple to have access to a gaming mic
