I've got a better idea:How about you actually research what you are buying your kids to play and **GASP*** actually play it or see what the game is about before you accept blanket criticism. A$$holes...
Obviously. All of this criticism that the game industry gets for violence is nonsense. There is far worse on TV and in the movie theaters, yet the studios get little to no criticism which is bull. Direct some of that criticism at the parents who don't give a sh** about what their kids are playing. They should be monitoring what their children are doing instead of sitting on their laurels and blaming the game industry.
I'm a little disappointed that Blu-Ray won't debate HD-DVD but if you were leading in sales around the globe what advantage would it have. The best would be that people would be galvanized to buy Blu-Ray but if they lose the debate then people would flock to HD-DVD. Simply put HD-DVD has more to gain from a debate then Blu-Ray.
Oh please. This is digital entertainment right? Damn some people need to grow up with this bulls$$t.
Meus I agree with you. This is different than what I used to see from Bladestar. He does make a great point. Percentages can be misleading. 1000 percent of 100 is 1000. I always preferred actual hardware numbers because it's harder to misconstrue the message.
EDIT: Why would you disagree with this?At least give a reason.
The only problem with Digital distribution is Bandwidth. Not everyone has High-Speed internet and without it digital distribution would be useless. Never mind the fact that some people just want to own the actual discs.
They tried to capitalize on the sex sells theory. Unfortunately this doesn't apply to video games than can be played by children. I figured the leading publisher in the world would know this but I guess not.
I'm sorry but since when is amazon the most trusted source for sales figures. I thought consensus was with the NPD. And what does someone selling their broken PS3 for $200 have to do with anything?
Now what's funny about this is if you take the big 3 and put together all the pollution and damage to the environment that they do, this would equal a fraction of the same put out by the Big oil companies.
What i'm noticing a lot of people say is that "It doesn't matter if the PS3 sells it still won't win this generation". This is quite possibly one of the dumbest things I have heard. Sony doesn't need to win this generation. If the Wii sells 50 million, the 360 30-35 million and PS3 20-25 million(all are lower end estimates) that still 25 million consoles which should be enough for Sony to make a profit, which I might add is all that matters. If they can make a huge profit off the s...
@Mighty Douche
Ditto
Damn. How much evidence do you need to at least acknowledge that, for the moment, things are looking up for the PS3? Damn why does all of this hate get directed at Sony? The sales figures look good for it's first year yet people have nothing but negative things to say about Sony. Damn...
It all depends on the person and their sense of humor. I truly believe there is humor in everything so most games are funny to me(GTA San Andreas was one of the funniest games I have played). He makes some great points but I don't agree that videogames aren't funny.
Actually only the Euro is worth more than the dollar. One Dollar is worth about 110 yen. Also why is it that the HD-DVD add-on for the 360 is added to total sales for HD-DVD but the PS3's that are sold aren't counted towards Blu-ray players? Interesting...
Unless i'm mistaken you can get a regular controller for the console.
This kid is an A$$. How the hell are you going to try and steal something that big by walking out the front door. Damn...Get a job and buy the damn thing or ask you parents.
Family Guy is by far the funniest cartoon out right now. Even funnier than the Simpsons(whose comedy I find muted and indirect).
Though the numbers came from the Blu-Ray Association, if they are anywhere near what they report than HD-DVD is losing by a large margin everywhere else(except the US). If true I really didn't think it was this bad around the world for HD-DVD.
This is good news. I'm always in favor of game delays if it makes the game better and I think GTA will be, like the other games in the series, great. If you never liked GTA then of course you won't like this but if you like GTA or have the slightest interest in games of it's type, then I think you will love it.
Can't blame Walmart for trying to max out profits. I don't agree with them at all but what can you do except not buying from there(how realistic is that for most people). Just think people were complaining about the PS3 being expensive, how do they feel about this?
