They had 8 games that sold a million in it's first year?

Consistency is constantly underrated. I will take Consistency over a short burst in anything.

Since I haven't played the game I wouldn't know what to give it but I would've thought it would have gotten higher than an 8.5. Then again let's remember that this is PERSONAL OPINION!!! Games have been getting really high reviews for some time now and it's good that the scores have come down from being astronomical. Still think it would've been higher though..

No they don't need a hero. They need a great marketing campaign to educate people on MOST of their great games not just 2 or 3 titles. If they can do this effectively then their future will be bright.

I agree that for the most part they aren't important at all. Maybe to some people who don't care to do a little research on what they buy. But for most people who actually care where there money is going then I would say that they matter very little. Also lest we forget this is ONE person's opinion. I once read a review that gave Final Fantasy 7 a 3/10. I promptly laughed and bought the game anyway(3 times).

It's first year was similar(in sales) to that of 360. The next year looks to be even brighter because the learning curve is disappearing for the game developers.

Oh Yeah I know the Pols are going to have a field day with this one.

It totally plausible that Nintendo's strategy of building such a high demand for the Wii could backfire(especially if the "real" 360 drops in price in response to Sony's drop)

But if the PS2 support dwindles in favor of the PS3 then what will they do. I hear everyone talk so much about attach rates, how many people(aside for the hardcore gamers) will buy multiple games for the Wii? And how long can their innovation really last?(Hopefully a long time because this will MS and Sony try something similar)

For most people the current controllers aren't complex, they are just right. To new gamers who don't want to take the time out to learn the controller is complex but is that really our problem? The games are getting more complex(which is great for us hardcore gamers but not so much for noobs)which,if anything, would be the main complaint.

There is no way something can accumulate that much dust in a year unless it was locked in cabinet running and recycling dirty air. He must have purposely done that. For what reason I don't know.

It's great news for Sony. I also think the advertisements had something to do with it also. Ever since they rolled out that new ad blitz it's hard not to see a PS3 commercial which mostly everyone has agreed looks cool and interesting.

I wondered the same thing when I heard they were releasing a new PS2. I think it's mildly counterproductive to moving the PS3's that they want to move.

You say Liberals are out of touch with the average American?I'll be the first to admit that the radical sides of both parties are wrong but don't target democrats and make Republicans out to be saints. For all the crying about regulation, deregulation seems to do far worse than regulation. How can you let an industry regulate itself and honestly expect a positive result(shareholders and executives always make out sweet). There's a major conflict of interest there. Also you talk about taxing e...
