It takes alot of effort and creativity to create something(movies, music games and a whole bunch of other things). Some things aren't worth your money but the easy solution to that is just don't buy it. When a company doesn't make money off of a terrible idea they tend to stay away from it next time around.
Yeah that's great for Nintendo and boggling for everyone who fails to see why the Wii is selling the way it is(Part pricing, Part Family themed console in our age of "family values).
People need to realize that video games are now going to a golden age which I don't think will fade. Pretty soon our "hobby" will become a mainstay of the entertainment industry and command respect(as shown by recently making more money than Hollywood).
100% agreed!!
On the Wii reaching 360's market share: Who didn't expect this to happen with the Wii being aimed at a far larger market and being almost half the price of the 360 and PS3. I can tell you this much though. While I don't like the 360 I doubt that Wii will ever come close to selling the same amount of software as the 360.
And since the system has been out for almost 2 years compared with the PS3's 1 I would hope that the sales for the 360 would at least be double(or somewhere cl...
Damn how often are we going to see these articles. The system is $250 and it's aimed at a far larger market than the other 2 systems. This shouldn't amaze anyone. That being said damn fine work!!!
This just shows the ineptitude of some people in retail. I work at the Home Depot and I had someone return a rock in a lighting fixture box. Nobody checked it at all and i'm pretty sure that's what happened here.
I get the feeling that it's a 50-50 split. One of my coworkers has had to replace his 360 3 times due to RROD but my other co-worker has a launch model and his hasn't broken yet. Interesting...
That's pretty frickin amazing because if the game is only 600p then I can't begin to imagine how clear it will look running at 1080p.
Living in New York(Where ads are ridiculously expensive)I have seen the PS3 commercial at least 10-15 in the past 2 weeks. This is great because I can't recall how many I saw all year. I think the advertising blitz will be very effective because it will showcase the new price of the PS3 and also show off some of the games people might want.
Well why would they do that if Gabe Newell already stated his disdain for the PS3 and obviously doesn't care whether it does well or not.
Hell. The argument can even be made that you appreciate games even more the older you get. You don't really understand the significance of certain games in your youth(for me it was Mario 3 and Zelda).
Such is the world that we live in. It's unfortunate but it's also life. Until there is a serious method to catch people there will be change. Look at what's happening to the music industry.
Hell Yeah!!! Why not. Some video games can become excellent conversation topics.
Hearing all this talk you would think the PS3 is the only system in which games have been delayed.
Having played Half-Life 2 I can't understand why this really matters for those who own a PS3. With UT3, Haze and COD4 why would we even bother with game? And all of this talk of boycotting EA is nonsense. This is the biggest publisher in the world and there is very little to gain from boycotting them(both Sony and gamers). I don't agree with the quality of games they are putting out but stop talking this nonsens about boycotting them.
Why are people still surprised to see news like this? Everyone knows that the Wii is hot $hit right now and if they are available they will sell. With that being said: Damn that's alot of machines for such a small time period.
Who'd of thought it? I just hope that Nintendo's strategy doesn't backfire on them.
I'm getting this but does this really surprise anyone?
It really shouldn't be that hard of a decision if you know what you want. BC doesn't matter to you than the 40gig is the way to. BC important and you want a "complete"(dumb ass term) PS3 than go with the 60gig.
