" Oh well, it's not for everyone, but if you rent or buy, understand the first hour is the worst of the game & you have to learn the controls. After that, it's alot of fun. "
I agree, it's not necessarily a game for everyone but those that are attacking the game without even playing are doing those that have/are playing it (and having a great time!) a great disservice by making the game sound bad without any first hand experience of actually playing the game!
The game is great! I haven't had any glitches in play, only had a few freezing issues but I think that's due to 2.0 more than anything, it's almost like it stops the game being read. That issue isn't due to the code.
I can't speak for the 360 gamers but I haven't seen the issues in those vids in-game on the PS3, so either they're only 360 issues or extremely rare ones.
It's a shame that glitches are putting people off getting a game. Remember the Warhawk issues, ...
Finished the game today, on PS3, and haven't had the clone glitch at all. Just wondering if any PS3 gamer out there has seen the clone thing when playing or is that just a 360 issue? Would be odd if it was.
I haven't seen any glitches in the game when I was playing it (PS3 version), it's only frozen on me a few times, but no glitches, no framerate drops, only slight v-sync issues on the tallest of the view points. So it's been a pretty smooth ride for me on the PS3 but maybe that's because I haven't sat there solidly for hours and hours to complete the game like I know many do...

The whole idea of the Animus reminded me of the Matrix at first but it's not quite the same thing. Love the idea though.
I suppose we can expect a sequel with the way AC ended...
Outside of these community gaming circles where games become popular through word of mouth rather than looking at footage or interviews Uncharted is still something of an unknown outside of the hardcore gaming arena.
Show off Uncharted after release and the game will be an even bigger success! From what I've seen and heard so far the game looks great. I still don't know he official UK release date, first it was the same week as the US release, then it moved to December so I dun...
I tend not to read many gaming review/blog sites anyway so tbh I don't care what happens to Kotaku.
At least Sony are providing continual support for the PS3. Microsoft gave the 360 users a blank 'Here's a warranty, now be done with this RRoD nonsense'.
Shows how disappointed you are with MS deep down, considering that you're now trying to drag Sony and the PS3 down at every possible opportunity, it's a form of reflective disappointment, closely linked with jealousy, pushing your underlying bad feelings towards MS upon the PS3 owners.
Where's the white screen of death come from?
I've had issues at the loading screens sometimes but since the game autosaves to the PS3 HDD everytime you complete a mission etc you never lose your progress. I'm sure 2.00 is to blame, like most updates are lol.
P.S At least I don't have to worry about my console breaking...
The game doesn't suck.
" Seriously, if the game is actually supposed to speak about Jade's degree in Computer Science, then she was probably not only NOT the best in class, but perhaps the class' bimbo, since she didn't learn anything about software engineering, usability and quality control in the first place; she was there to pass and get a degree, and who knows how many teachers were actually objective (given her looks and all; for a Computer Science chick, that is). If that's the product kind she says it's...
Totally agree! Bubbles!
Yeah, that's pretty much the perfect word for the comic, pathetic. Ever wondered why there aren't many female figures at the top of companies in the gaming industry? It's because of things like this.
So because she's female suddenly she's being accused of using sex appeal to sell a game... that's actually laughable in a way, such simple-minded sexism! Jade has every right to be annoyed, upset, pissed off, etc. she's simply been showing us the game she's producing and then she g...
Having been away from this site for a while I return to an even more fanboy infested place than the last time I checked, before I never thought that was possible.
Rein isn't lying obviously, but in making that comment the Xbox fanboys bring out the 'They've had a whole year to make it'. Yet Gears was released after at least a year of hands-on with the 360; likewise UT3 has been made with at least a year of hands on with the PS3.
Both were learning curves for Epic...
That's what a PC has been for for ages lol, TV and Movie downloads have become commonplace for PC users now.
Most HDTVs now come with Freeview so the TV downloads aren't needed and are available to download on more and more TV channel sites anyway with programmes like LOST and Heroes among the ranks now.
Then again, creating your own themes is something that's been around for a long time too (on Microsoft's own Windows OS for example) so why hasn't Microsoft tapp...
I think the dropship would be a superb addition. Add in parachuting and just imagine the possibilities, what a sight that would be, loads of people just leaping from dropships and opening parachutes...
Why would you play FIFA?
PES is the true soccer game!
What's better, a new SKU or a bundle offer?
Sony should release a PS3 party bundle that comes with 4 DualShock3 controllers, 80GB HDD and a few top SP/MP games like Haze (Remember the 4-player coop!) and LBP, possibly UT3 or Warhawk as well.
Release it mid March next year and we have a winner. Maybe 2 controllers rather than 4 but you see where I'm going with this, for those getting a PS3 to play with family and friends only to find out they have to get more cont...
The 360 is big in the UK. Less than a month ago I read that the 360 isn't that big outside of the UK in Europe.
MS is slowly losing the European market. It lost the Japanese market before it really started. The NA market is the place the 360 is now pinned into and it's not enough to win in the long term...
I don't think the online service of Live is top dog until they start using dedicated servers for the games. Cut out the lag and it'll be the best thing out there, at the moment in terms of actually playing the games online the PS3's dedicated servers clean up. In terms of overall functionality Live has more. If you're into movie downloads and all that then Live is where it is, but if you'd rather have a perfectly stable online gaming experience PSN is top.
MS should put all tha...
