What is desperate? Sony pulled the plug on Rime after they apparently didn't meet markers. The game by Sony standards was not up to expectations and so they dropped support. Sounds like what Microsoft did to Scalebound when they weren't meeting markers after such a long period as well. I only laugh because for some reason, if Sony does it is good move, Microsoft does they are the evil empire and hate gamers.
The only difference now is that Tequilla Games believed ...
Seriously stop talking about power of the CPU if you are going use percentage while ignoring why in this case that difference in the CPU/GPU is a wide margin not the little 7% you use "not that that much more power". I suspect you already know as you probably read the DF examination and explanation of how Scorpio works and are intentional deflecting. Or are you just quoting a value your friend told you without understanding the design of the machine?
Sorry to disappoint. One of the most beautiful places in the country. Some of nicest people I have ever met were on my journeys through that state. People seem just trust one another there. They leave houses unlocked (on purpose) without fear of being robbed. Always, give a friendly hello whether they know you are not and actually mean it. You can pump gas and pay after. I personally love the place. They do have a meth issue up there, no denying that but, crime itself if generally of the Ma...
Edit : I meant 40+ billion not 30 billion would most likely be the actual acquisition cost for Nintendo (34 billion + an additional valuation adjustment 25%-30%).
Well the actual question is not Disney buying somebody but Disney itself being bought out. Apple is looking to make a large acquisition with the 200+ billion it has in the bank and for 165 billion + 30% markup they could be bought out for slightly over 200 billion. Apple, is looking to make a giant push into media and Disney is the cream of the crop with an arsenal of content. It would be a pretty strong fit with very little overlap.
Second: Sure if you have been a Gold member for 3 1/2 years of the Xbox Ones existence and maybe several years prior to that as part Xbox 360 you may accumulated many items in the catalog. I have been around for those 6+ years of Gold free games. So, I know what you mean. But, there is also quite a lot (if you haven't bought many of the AAA games in the pack so far). But, many people don't subscribe to Gold and Gold is not a prerequisite f...
I think as/if the service becomes more popular you will see games arrive earlier and earlier after their release. Certain games (like sports, e.g. 2K) will come to service like they similarly do for EA Access sports games, almost immediately after the season ends. It is new and still getting its feet wet. Remember how BC had a somewhat dry spell for a couple of months after its release? Then all of sudden a floodgate 15+ games a month and it hasn't slowed down. I am sure companies are ...
Why would they slow down BC? I don't get that argument or concern. Different departments. Different teams. The BC team is actually quite small and very efficient. If anything BC allows them to bring even more content to the GP with little work.
No the trial is 14 days free not $10. The cost is actually built into the name. "14 day free trial" and early for Gold Members" - who woulda thunk! The cost is $9.99/month. I don't know where you even go...
@Ron_Danger I never down vote those if they have well constructed argument. But, that also doesn't mean you are complete right in your analysis. Just that I appreciate any argument not biased with blind fanboy talk.
As for your fist example of Sega, it is correct in that GP is an actual download content service, not streamed. Which by it's very nature alleviates the issues services like PSNow has with degradation and other issues you have with streaming (e.g. caps...
It is a joke compared to a Blu-Ray 4KUHD disc. A 4k movie starts around 100GB for an average length movie. and compressed down to less than 20GB. Doing such drastic compression is never gone to give you the same thing. Let's not forget a majority of the world can't handle the pure bandwidth and/or have caps (several 4K movies and may exceed your allotment). Just like HD streaming is a joke compared to Blu-Ray. Compression leads loss in quality (no way around it). 4K vs Streaming ...
Wrong. How many times do people have to say this. I am too lazy to repeat what I wrote on another blog post so I am just going to cut-and-paste most of that previous post. Now take notice of what is written below. These are not my words but, directly from DF, the only people that have seen in action and are able to actually talk about the Scorpio with any knowledge. All this talk about this is just Jaguar and the same as the PS4 Pro is nonsense. It is not a stock chipset and definitely no...
@mmj Yes both are Jaguar based. Each systems APU is highly customized. Scorpio took a different route that alleviates the CPU from a lot of the work it would normally do. Scorpio has baked in DirectX 12 into the Project Scorpio's GPU's command processor to significantly reduce instruction sets and thus dramatically improve the instruction command processing sent by the highly customized 2.73GHz Jaguar evolved CPU. Essentially Project Scorpio's direct hardware-based DX12 integrat...
I am here to help. I have seen this problem before. Act quickly before those (secret government, alien, evil cabal) voices get too overwhelming. We here at the institute have created the perfect tinfoil hat to block out the mind control rays (always remember shiny side out)
@MasterCornholio Rime! You want reveals where Sony pulled out. There. That was a game revealed. We can ignore all those rumors that Sony pulled out because their money was being wasted with no real game play. I mean if we going to rule out the rumors that Platinum was spending much of that funding for Scalebound to support other games (ones not even coming to Xbox) and the gameplay was not advancing to a workable stance. Then whatever the reason they pulled out doesn't matter right? Shit...
Come on we don't need to play this Sony is a saint game. Off the top of my head I remember a story more egregious that was from their Santa Monica games. They cancelled a new open world Sci-fi IP in development for over 4 years. It was suddenly cancelled (no warning just Sony dropping the hammer) all just prior to the E3 reveal (back when they would reveal games coming out that year not 3 years in the future). 3326d ago 4 agree5 disagreeView commentSpam

They aren't taking the IP they own the IP from day one. Originally trademarked in 2014 by Microsoft. They paid for the work, they own the work. In any redo I doubt they will use anything other than the name itself.
BS. I remember the comment sections it was almost exclusive Pony boys disappointed. Faux disappointment for sure but none the less it was mostly the PS4 hordes invading another Xbox story comments sections, as they tend to do here, screaming negatively about anything Microsoft. I knew very few Xbox gamers that felt the game was looking good (concept was exciting, execution of the concept looked like $hit) and most had no problem about the cancellation.
@CaptainObvious878 Stop with your bias viewpoint. I know you may not want to hear this but, this is not not a unique behavior exhibited by any company and definitely not Microsoft. Any company whether it be a product they haven't made in 25 years or another console company like Sony, Nintendo, Sega, etc... will attempt to keep all ownership of their IPs. I bet we could find multiples of examples of cancelled games from Sony's own past that they still retain the IP's for as we...
