Mame itself breaks no laws. Emulating another platform, in itself, is perfectly legal. This has been established under US case law from the Sony v. Connectix and Sony v. Bleem cases. As for ROMS, copying something you OWN is also OK and you can do it without the need to acquire the current copyrights owner's permission. This right has also has been upheld in many court cases. The issue is not if Mame itself is illegal, it is not. The program is 100% legal. The issue is can it be us...
Wait you mean somebody took something out context and made him look bad, you don't say. Surely you jest. The irony is you all are constantly doing the same thing, taking something from the many PS fan sites that litter the headlines at N4G about Phil, blog posts that take a long interview of quotes from Phil and combine them to their own biases. Meanwhile the "safe space" Ponyboys come to believe he is evil. I am sure Ryan just meant to say that indies are not safe for the ...
If parity is the excuse (which I highly doubt) than Sony & Insomniac should tell those "salty" cry babies to get a Pro. If parity were really the issue in this case than there would be no reason to have a Pro, period, none, zero, nada. (that is a little exaggerated but, it personally would make me mad) If Sony holds back their own games because of some idea of parity for their own devices that would kill off he need for the Pro for many. I understand the no exclusives argument...
@windblowsagain "should have been working on a totally new system. With a completely new processor" What? The lowly 4 core version of Ryzen runs around $200. Xbox One X has 8 cores and 8 core Ryzen starts at over $300. That Ryzen is way too power hungry for console use (that is why PC players have those giant cases and liquid cooling because their systems are quite inefficient relative to what a console does with the tiny space it stuffs everything into). Even with some magic...
Another one of those "I don't like them, so nobody should have them" articles. If you don't like Achievements/Trophies then either ignore them completely or turn off notifications. Simple, I solved your problems. Or better yet perhaps just go to your safe space and curl up into a ball and cry yourself to sleep. There a plenty of things I personally don't care about with consoles or in everyday life in general. But, those same things found consoles or in life tha...
Who lies about what?
Do you mean that Sony "it's all about protecting the children" PS4 pony boy believe what your masters say group ?
Or do you mean the PC we all have amazing $1800+ computers (not the barely capable 1080p gaming computers Steams own data actually says 90%+ of the actual "mini me master race " do have) group.
Actually, if you had read what he said not what some fanboy site that to...
@Aenea Not the old Atari. You sure are right about that. The are not worth hundreds on millions of dollars like they were in the 80's. They aren't a billion dollar company. They have a total net worth of $46 million (stock price is 24 cents a share - penny stock). Well actually Atari SA the company that actually owns Atar Inc is worth 46 million. Sony or Microsoft spend a lot more than that 46 million in a week supporting their current console owners. The average AAA costs more ...
Of course I know in a strange way you really mean to say, "Death Stranding" (DS) is going to suck. Because obviously when Sony's Shawn Layden said the other day he played it and it was going to be "revolutionary and more" that is what you should do twist that PR to into something else, right? Ignore his PR words and create your own interpretation. Anything a companies spoke hole says you just twist it to mean what you want it to mean. They can't be trusted. K...
Wait. I am so confused. X or S. So confusing /s Different letters, Oh my. How do people buy cars with similar designations? They must be a lot of people buying the wrong car or only geniuses buy cars. M2 or M3 or M4 or M6 or M8. What there is now an M9 too. And what the hell is that F12 or F13 mean? I hope I chose the right BMW. I better not ask and look stupid. I will just buy the one my daughter thinks has the prettiest paint job. God and printers and computers. Way to complex to deal...
@MrSec84 Wrong!. Both the XOX and Pro use customizations from Vega and beyond integrated into their respective APUs. For example, double rate FP16 processing or delta color compression. Aditionally, according to Andrew Goossen, Technical Fellow, Graphics told Eurogamer that many other performance optimizations from the next-gen Vega GPU architecture made it into the Scorpio (XOX) Engine's design.
If that tech in the next console your speaking (similar to the XOX) is just another Jag and Polaris based console sure it will be a lot cheaper in two years (even if Sony heavily modified the chipset like Microsoft has done I doubt it would be considered a new generation at that point). But, if that tech is Ryzen/Vega combo then no it will not be cheaper than what we see in the current XOX, you are crazy. XOX is using heavily customized a CPU based on 6 years old tech and a GPU based th...
Love how almost all negative commenters probably leave ability to read off their resumes. Read!
Heck my record for completing a game quickly was Far Cry 4. It took all of 15 minutes to complete. Sure, I never had to explore or fight bosses or figure out puzzles. I only had to wait. Beat the game in 15 minutes without doing a single thing.
@Jeff257 You have good points than start making up numbers to make yourself feel better. But, as fan boy for one side or the other you can't help yourself. " Microsoft sits at 20 million." Not even remotely true. And I bet you believe it when Sony says things like "the did it to protect the children."
Cool. It seems everybody but the PS4 will be supported. Same thing is happening with Minecraft. Minecraft will have cross-network support for an even larger group of devices. Minecraft will support for Xbox, PC, mobile platforms (Android, iOS, Windows), and Switch were announced but, no PS4 cross-network support for that game as well.
As a person who actually read the Wall Street Journal article (that would be me, I read it) not some third party blogs take on the article. (I don't even know if the blog read the article either or just did a rehash form another blog, who may or may not read the article.) Anyhow, that is not what Nichols said. He said VR was not the priority for the Xbox One X. He never said VR wasn't coming to the console. Phil and other at Microsoft have said similar things. Phil has said the ...
What does that mean? The problem for the PS4 is not PSVR itself. It is a pretty good setup for a console. It is the lack of power the 59 million PS4 consoles to truly have to support VR. The 1.3 million PS4 Pros is the fix not a new PSVR.
1.6% of PS4 owners that have VR. Imagine how little that translates to overall usage time for all PS4 numbers. The other day PS4 fanboys were jumping all over how only less than 3% of overall time is used on BC. Claiming it is waste of Xbox resources. But, unless that 1.6% is only playing VR and 100 hundreds of hours a week it won't even come close to BC time numbers. Yet, Sony is spending millions to support a smaller segment of it's population of users time.
