Perhaps they could have Vin Diesel do some commercials in his Secret (X-Games) Agent role Xander Cage .
And if they want to get the adult crowd (XXX) they could have a pizza delivery guy with handle bar mustache or overtly busty sexy secretary bring it to your house all for an additional $9.99. And in Japan they could tie the XXX into those overtly pedophilic games/anime th...
Microsoft will still set aside a good portion of the E3 show for displaying the Scorpio. Jez Corden at WindowsCentral, who was the one that leaked that the reveal was happening, has already noted that they are keeping several surprises about the hardware under wraps until E3. Doing the spec reveal and some technical stuff out gets a lot of the meat that would have consumed E3 out of the way . Now for next 2 months it allows for the consoles to be top story (breakdowns, opinion pieces, et...
@mikeslemonade Was that before or after the Sony executive came out a couple of weeks ago announcing that PS4 games will be added to the PSNow catalog? And with one swoop essentially turned all those "exclusives" into timed exclusives. Now those precious exclusives we get will be playable on Windows at some point (a year so later.) Thanks for playing.
@Burrito26a No need for external cameras. The device announced by Microsoft (back in January) has something they coined "inside-out tracking" (tech from HoloLens) It gives the VR/MR headset (and software) an understanding of your real world environment and allowing movement without the need of external cameras or sensors for tracking you while wearing the headgear.
Several companies (Dell, Acer, Asus, and others) will be producing the hardware under their own b...
I admit I was one that was wrong about Vega. But many of us that were wrong pushed the idea of Vega because we thought that would be the only way they would be able to reach their goal of a true 4K machine. I repeat I believed it would be the only possible way Microsoft could pull off a true 4K console. I was wrong about the graphics in Scorpio being derived from a Vega directly and I fully admit that. But, I am not disappointed.
No you may piss off a million or sow PS4 Pro owners not 60 million PS4 original owners. But, why should they care they are playing all those new releases anyway :) In truth, most PS4 owners (you know the type that don't spend 8 hours a day on this site) wouldn't give a rats a$$. Just like most Xbox owners for the most part don't give a rats a$$ that Sony pays for special treatment on Destiny and other games. But, you wouldn't know it by how everyone here complains about ev...
@Goldby Your moving the goal posts. That is a new one saying "because PSNow is a Sony service those PS4 games will still be considered exclusives even though they are will be on that service and available for Windows gamers" Silly. How is that any different than saying PlayAnywhere games require you to use Microsoft services to purchase on their own ecosystem (wait didn't you make that argument about PSNow :) ). Doesn't that make them still Xbox exclusives. Tomato/Totmat...
@MrDead
First booting up Windows in a comfortable environment with the desktop requires you to use a mouse and keyboard to even get past the start up. Controller does not work well and (unless you are using SteamOS with it's own issues besides not really supported) the Windows interface is not designed to easily (actually not at all) run by a controller to do everything and mice/keyboards require flat, harder than soft surfaces to function well.
But, Sony announcing that PSNow will be adding PS4 games to that services catalog changes all that "exclusive" mantra. It means all those games you all call exclusives to PS4 will at some point (a year or two after release) are going to be added to PSNow. Sony understands that in order for PSNow to survive as service the need more than games that are three plus years old, they will need fresh meat like Uncharted 4 or Horizon in the catalog fresh in the minds of people. And by thi...
Since this is pure conjecture (rumor) I will play along. As I don't know how much effort it would take to do a Ps4 Pro patch to get an increase in fidelity to 4K (how the assets would have to processed, what level of fidelity it would change, how much their underlining code needed to be updated). Only the Witcher developers know what was needed to do the work. Perhaps they will release a PS4 Pro version as well or deemed it too much work for little reward at this point.
@I3loggs241d 10 years 4K may become mainstream my a$$. Anybody buying a TV nowadays is not coming home with a 1080. The cost is fairly similar to what 1080 was a few years ago. So, if people had no problem paying those prices for a 1080 screen a few years ago the price should not be the factor. It has been estimated that nearly 50% of all households will have a 4k TV by 2020. No exactly a niche. Secondly, most gamers tend purchase devices ahead of the curve. They were the first ones wit...
They have a deal like other of these sponsored deals. You get an extra map and some pretty much useless weapon or glittery items to wear. Hey maybe they will have a pair of special assless chaps you can wear while running around shooting that bombastic pink pistol with its bubble popping sound with that special deal the PS4 will have. If Destiny is any indication of special arrangement with RDR2 it won't be a big deal for 99.9% of players on either the PS4 or Xbox.
Wait PS4 no longer will have exclusives either. With the announcement that PSNow will soon support PS4 games sooner or later Sony will have it's first party games on PSNow and thus playable on Windows as well. And it won't be a four year old PS4 game (not if they expect for PSNow to survive) it will be a year so after a release. Knowing this we really should start calling PS4 games, timed exclusives not PS4 only games.
Hey I always believe Jez. He is pretty close to several insiders at Microsoft and has a damn good record about Microsoft rumors. JC has also said there a several surprises in store for the Scorpio that Microsoft will not let DF talk about Thursday and will keep close to their vest for meantime. So even after the reveal there will still be more hidden gems to hear about later on at E3 or leading up to E3.
@ricosuave Yes this reveal is not going to a lets dumb down the specs event like that PS4 Pro reveal. An event controlled by Sony not a third party as is being done in this reveal. DF has seen and played with device. They apparently are really impressed and yes it will be a tech filled jargon fest with details that will probably go over many heads here. What do you expect from a site specifically designed for that purpose (breaking down and examining devices/software)? They will reveal CP...
So did you trust Sony when they revealed of the original PS4 on Feb. 21st 2013 months before E3 without a price? Did it lessen the hype? This event will be similar to that. Actually because it is Digital Foundry doing the reveal (not Microsoft) it will a lot of tech jargon and very little splashy show.
