@TheRandomOne What does force mean? Microsoft is not making it their job to police gaming. They are allowing game developers to use a system that will check to make sure cheating is not possible. What the developers do with that data is upon them not Microsoft. If you don't like the idea complain to game developers or better yet complain to those that cheat and create this atmosphere that Microsoft (and developers) fill the necessity to provide anti-cheating options.
This is a system apparently (a set of APIs) that game developers can hook into and take advantage of. It is purely optional. Any response to the cheating is taken by the game not by Windows itself. So, if a game allows mods then that game will react accordingly to it's own rules of fair play and not some arbitrary game monitoring reaction as seen by other anti-cheat software.
The problem with removing the service is that the games response would be the same as if your turned it off. Windows itself won't actually do anything (that is not the job of this game monitor). The monitor just provides info to a game (who uses that info) and that game would provide a response to a cheating player, if any. Once again the system doesn't take action, games take action. So, if people somehow remove the service and a game queries the system and doesn't get a valid r...
Control. This is something a game can opt into if they wish. The system only provides info to a game. Blame cheaters that cause the need to balance play. Don't blame Microsoft for giving the possible option for games to use this monitoring system and have game developers react accordingly to any cheating.
"the fear and loathing of Trump’s US." WTF I guess we should have expected nothing less from the Guardian then an unsubstantiated overreaction to their delicate sensibilities, another the world is falling apart piece. Sure, the constipated left blames a silly game is the result of a world because of Trump. Sorry, the US is not full of "loathing" but more like "I miss my hugs and kisses in my Obama safe space" crowd is in revolt rather than some fantasy of al...
Not going to happen. There is no reason to weigh down the Xbox with all that extra weight and responsibility. However, even though Word is not coming to an Xbox it doesn't mean you can't use the built-in Edge browser and do that homework from the Office Online Word web version (which is actually pretty good). The system will have full support for keyboard and mice soon.
Those pricing it in the less $500 range those people are at least applying the pricing rule to what Phil Spencer previously has stated that Scorpio will follow. "Scorpio will be priced within this current generations pricing structure," Does that mean $399 no can't tell from that statement, it is possible as it falls witching Spencer's statement. It definitely means Scorpio won't be higher than $499 (the original Xbox One price). And most assuredly not way up at your ...
What current events? I haven't heard anything about rogue Christian cult groups taken over towns in Montana or anywhere else. Where is this happening? There have always been cults, most are not even Christian based (not by a longshot) but that is not important. As for in the news I don't see where there is rise today of these groups that make it seem to be similar to this plot. Although, I have seen a rise rogue anarchist groups in masks thrashing downtowns and college campuses....
Ah it has been about three months. So that window is really over. Besides this guy will mod these Switches and according to the story itself charges a fair price for the work. I have no problem for that type of business. And find his work cool.
Actually, I really have no problem with people that legally buy a bunch up and sell them on EBay for profit. It is capitalism. That being said, I do agree with you there should be a limit a person can buy, even if this three mon...
Wasn't one of the biggest complaints about Xbox One the always internet on issue? (Which was never true, but that is history) Never the less, isn't it ironic that streaming may be the future; a future in which Microsoft just had the decade wrong. Sony, has it a little early too. The problem is streaming is just not a good option right now over downloading. Most of the world does not have the infrastructure for clean streaming experience. Especially for something like what is require...
@dilbig5 "a good amount have been given free". True. But, this Gamers Pass as it stands is really for those new to the console and have not been privy to Games with Gold for the past 3 1/2 years. It is also designed for those that don't buy 10+ games a year or never had a Xbox 360. There are a surprising a lot of people that don't buy a lot of games. Apparently none of them visit N4G :) But, take my word for it a large percentage console users (both PS4, Xbox) probably ...
Sony's space at 40,000 SQFT is damn big. But, even so it is still 22,000 square feet smaller than Bill Gates own residence at 66,000 SQFT. Now that is frightening sick amount space for one family.
Xbox's Own backyard? E3 is not in Seattle, at least not the last time I checked. E3 is actually closer to PS4's (SIE) backyard. Sony Interactive Entertainment's worldwide headquarters are in San Mateo, California (not Japan). SIE represents the entire PlayStation brand, regional subsidiaries, and its content operations. It only six hour drive from San Mateo to Los Angeles.
Unless you are Mormon you are not going to be allowed in heaven anyways (SP S4:E10). So, you might as well accept it now to get on the good side of the Devil before your time comes a reckoning. :)
Seriously, reading that gave me a headache. I am not part of the grammar police because I make grammatical mistakes all the time (probably a few here.) But, what you wrote is just so bad; really, really bad. Your comment has not one period - just one continuous sentence. It has so many missing connectors and you use wrong forms of contractions (learn the difference between don't and doesn't). At least your spelling is good :) I get it, maybe you don't speak English and you are...
PS4 on PSNow has been known for a while now. Sony is beta testing PS4 on PSNow. Why do you think suddenly dropped all the other devices except for the PS4 and PC?
Drop the price of course they are going to drop the price of PS4. What was not known is price. They have to if they plan on dropping the PS4 Pro. Which also expected to happen this holiday season. Otherwise, the price differential would be minimal.
Actually what he said is not wrong. The problem is that he said in a way that was non-informative or the editors of the video took what he was talking about into a short snipit and out of the context what he was discussing. Doing so seemed like he was talking silly. He however he was referring to sub-pixel rendering. A pixel is not one point but 3-4 light points interjecting with each other. Sub-pixel rendering makes the actual object seem clearer and/or at a higher res. Microsoft has sev...
If we are going by the picture and nitpick of what this means obviously it is not for PS4 base console. Apparently with all this reading into the picture you all must have missed the biggest news Sony must be dropping the base unit because the picture says PS4 Pro not PS4. I mean if we are going read into something we might as go all the way with our assumptions.
How Scorpio customized is different not that it has customized hardware. All these consoles have custom hardware (CPU/GPU - APU in PS4's and Xbox One and because of Kinect a heavily customized audio processor in the Xbox are examples) . Noting new about customizing stock chipsets for a console. Most of the cost is in development of the customization not the production of similar chipset. Since, like the Pro, Scorpio is based on Jaguar & Polaris it uses the same manufacturing process...
@XsomedudeX If true that is really sad. At least and 14 year old can claim the emotional right to be immature. An older individual using derogatory terms based sex (e.g. implying "fangirls" is somehow a lesser person), sexual orientation or race by equating it as deficient compared to another means to me that that person never grew beyond that immature 14 year old boy.
