Wrong. So, so wrong. The whole ability to continue the license was based on this agreement to support other platforms. There have multiple rumors EA was sniffing around and was very interested in making a deal with MLB/MLBPA. I am pretty certain if Sony had not agreed to stipulations to support multiple platforms then MLB would have more then likely given it to EA (or someone that could provide a game on multiple platforms) and The Show would be no more. As for just Son...
As soon as you see a title with "everyone" in it you know it is a love letter. Absolutism, you have to love the arrogance that title breeds.. Not everyone loves Kojima. Not by a long mile.. His games (especially more recently) are an acquired taste. They are mostly good, that is for sure. But, lets stop with the everyone loves him and wants to be him puff pieces.
Wouldn't that same argument apply to Sony supporting the largest desktop OS by a good distance? 100's of millions of gamers. I don't see HZD or Spider-Man coming anytime soon to a Windows PC near you. Do you?
Like Sony supporting its own hardware PSVR and PS, Valve wants to support its' own Index VR hardware. Plus they have a thing against completely walled-in gardens. Lets not forget Alyx is available on other PC VR headsets as well (Oculus, HTC, Micros...
It probably has to do with licensing the game. MLB is smartening up like other sports leagues and probably requiring multi-platform to allow Sony keep the license. More money for MLB the more that are sold. It is not like people bought a PS for The Show. A larger population of users makes the game user base stick around longer. The Show usually has strong support for about three to four months then it dies off the charts and user base dwindles. Other sports games people play two to three t...

Parts of what you are saying true. But the patent also says " The system also allows a person wearing a VR headset to look in all directions and get corresponding audio-visual information from the other end – as if he’s actually there." The key word is "other end". The camera as I said taking before it another location (and the one at yours as well) and each locations information is gathered and injecting it into your VR (and vice-versa) as if you a...
No, that is not what this is. This patent integrates your experience with another connected headset. In the case of VR it is teleporting your presence into another users VR world to share the experience. You can call it co-op for VR or perhaps very basic Player One type of integration. You would see them as themselves (an avatar) you interact with in real time and vice versa. This is a thing used on other platforms in various forms for a while now. For example Windows (not Xbox) has telep...
I here when Phil can't sleep he boots his PS4 up and plays a little Death Stranding. He has found the games complete boring repetitiveness acts as great sleep aid and puts him out right away.
I think Rare has already said they have moved on from those games and now want to continue to explore new directions and new challenges. Besides those Rare games, the creatives that built them are for the most part long gone form Rare and can easily be made by another team outside of Rare : farmed out to another Xbox Studios team or even good third-party developer. Give Playtonic a shot a Banjo. They are made up of former Rare employees and Playtonic is only 30 minute drive away from Rare i...
Funny when ever you mention PS5 people always go to Spider-Man 2, Horizon 2,a new GOW (that would make 9), GT 7, a new Uncharted etc... Are you going to call out people at Sony now too? Or does you fanboyism force you to tow the line or you might risked getting spanked by your imaginary friend you call Sony.
Strange with all this we still know more about new with Xbox then we do with Sony related to next-gen IP. Can you name a first party game that is coming to next-gen t...
Good thing Sony won't give choices and you will be forced to pay for it no matter if you used or not. Or maybe Sony will tell us to stream it and just give us another 4K machine without a 4KUHD player to cut costs. I would think Sony's logic about not needing a 4KUHD on the PS4 Pro would be even more true today then it was 3 years ago.
@SpaceRanger
It is not streaming to PCs and Macs that is going to make these services popular. It is streaming to devices that are portable or smart-TVs/Roku/Fire Sticks. Most people using these services have a reasonably powered rig. PC streaming is going to be a niche. GeForceNow is just that, streaming to PCs and Macs (and ShieldTV). Last time I checked it had no mobile footprint at all. It has a good size library of around 400 games. Jump is not much better with what its devic...
Yes, nice clean design and for the most part functional. Needs an USB or two on the front or side (near the front). And the design seems to have a real need to address the cooling aspect of the console. But other than that I like it very much.
Not as quick as the Switch outselling the PS4 in their home country, Japan. They did that about a year ago and now are over 2 million ahead of the PS4 there.
Yeah innovates Toio. Loved that last one everyone jumped on (cartridges) people declaring it was obviously a way replaceable drives on the PS5 would work or a new way to sell physical games on the PS5. When it really was for a child's toy Sony makes. Most patents never go anywhere. By the way, Microsoft had almost a thousand more patents then Sony in 2018. And IBM has more then both Sony and Microsoft put together. Again most never go anywhere. As for Microsoft and Sony they often h...
Shouldn't that anger be spent against Sony rather then Microsoft and Game Pass. Sony are the ones that thought they could release a streaming product first. A streaming product that when released rented you games at a rate which ended up costing more to finish then buying games themselves. Then they switched to a monthly subscription that was still an over priced service. And the only reason it came down 50% last month to it's current pricing is because of actual competition from G...
The problem with Remote Play is you are not only are dealing with the speed of your connection you streaming to but you are also dealing with the up speed (which is often slower) from the console itself. Which means if you think Stadia will have issues imagine the possibility of issues Remote Play will have dealing with the internet on both ends. However, the real advantage is if that if Remote Play is streaming well you can play anything you own that is installed on the PS4 and definitely o...
Probably because this was SIE patent. And people are under the misconception that SIE only works on PS. So, they jump to these conclusions rather quickly that they are PS related. There was another SIE related patent early this year that people jumped all over its meaning for the PS5 before it was found to be for Toio as well.
