PS4 everywhere except most gamers homes can be said as well of Sony. PC gaming in homes dwarfs all various console gaming combined. And who again owns that ecosystem? Uhmmmmmm, I wonder who it could be?
Dealing with this move . If Xbox streaming and services becomes the defacto standard option integrated on Samsung mobile devices - maybe other devices as well (and I doubt they will be the only one just the first one to join Microsoft) then this can be seen has being a mu...
And that means what? It wasn't Samsung that suddenly dropped supporting PSNow on devices it was Sony that pulled the rug out from all the devices that PSNow was supporting at the time. Just leaving the PS4 and PCs.

You are wrong. If you violate a copyright (which is the totality in spirit of a work) you violate it no matter if you sell it or not. There is not get out jail free card because you are giving it away. The rights of the copyright, trademark or IP holder (depends on type of liability tort or infringement) are not given away because you spend time to recreate it step by and and hand it out on the local street corner for free. I do not know where you got that law degre...
Beyond somewhat weak example about Paula’s and Deans suddenly wanting to play Doom Eternal and can now in 4K glory (that last part is laughable) with Stadia there are other issues that make it more obvious why people have not got Stadia wrong. Let’s not ignore that unlike Stadia that 4K on consoles (next-gen or the X) or PCs is free (free forever mind you) not $10 a month. Nor does it require a need for a good and consistent internet connection.
"See what all the hubbub is about without spending any cash."
Other then the games (which on average are higher priced then games on consoles). Yup! Forgot that part of the "free" equation didn't ya? And what after you find out that it sucks balls? You just wasted $70 on a game. Is Stadia going to give you a refund on those games? Probably not. And if spend $60 (see not $70) on a game on a console or PC I don't have to pay to get 4K its "F...
You know I think Stadia failed on its release. I am ambivalent about it as a service today. I do however think game streaming as an option good option to have. Stadia as streaming only option not so much/ But, there things I like about the service for which I hope other services try to integrate into their own streaming platforms. But, that is me.
However, for those see it's demise is just around the corner you might want to hold on to your celebratory party hats ...
Done locally in real time (I guess the title here says it too). If you go to the original interview of Gwertzman (head of MS Game Stack) he talks about this AI technology Microsoft is working on
(Interview Snippet)
Journalist: Can you do that on the hardware without install time?
Gwertzman: Not even install time. Run time.
Journalist: To clarify, you’re talking about real time, moving around the 3D space, level of de...

Do you mean how they affected TV prices or phone prices or your next Alexa prices? They haven't affected anything in any notably way so you might want to get a clue yourself. Many of those sensor and chip products are not made in China but are sent into China for product placement. And most those products after that don't rise to the level of reaching tariffs. China did not place tariffs on them, neither has the US.
Just stop with that inflation argument. Tech drives down cost against inflation. That is the whole point of tech. In fact even considering a rise in wages it wouldn't even amount to a $1 in the rise of relation to a $299 price in 2000 because of tech along production line. And that goes for transportation costs they are relatively flat since 2000 as well with respect to driving up product costs all thanks to tech and over all capability against slight energy expenditure costs and wages...
@frOsty
What tariffs? They have nothing to do with consoles at the moment and are off the table for any future tariffs if China keeps with the current negotiations.
Sorry, but Stadia's over all problem is not its streaming. It streaming isn't bad at all for those that can handle it. The problem with Stadia is that is half-baked with many of the features Google promised but were not available at launch. Even if it had all the promised features it still be less overall compared to consoles. Plus Stadia has a very small catalog. A catalog that has already been surpassed by the beta of xCloud. And Stadia is a catalog that you are essentially rentin...
Good luck with that wish. That will be the one barrier neither company is going to cross or allow to happen on their actual console hardware. Sony definitely is not letting any xCloud on their console itself. However, being that xCloud will be an Android app and Sony having TV's that are Android based that would mean at least their TVs could have xCloud/GP availability. I just don't see either GP/xCloud or PSNow apps (services) making their ways to the actual competing consoles the...
@ArmyVetGamer
So what you are saying is that PSVR now with only 4% of PS4 owners is a colossal waste and Sony should definitely be dropping it? PSNow is a even bigger colossal fuckup and waste with only 1% of PSNow owners (a little over 1 million after 5 years) and Sony should be just move on? If we are going to go by percentages then that 25% metric as a market determinant maybe both Sony & Microsoft should also stop making first-party games as altogether. No PS4 console game...
@Christopher
Those are all 3 months. There is no secret to Marquee games, 3 months and gone. Games on GP get a warning and they are there for a lot longer then a measly 3 months. For example, Shadow of Tomb Raider has been on GP for a whole year (making its way to the Xbox service less then 6 months after its release).
@dekke
I prefer the real thing. No $60 wanking simulator for me. Now, a walking simulator I wouldn't mind that. Being a lazy mofo after all that wanking means getting to the kitchen to get some vittles is probably a no go without a good walking simulator. Yup, wanking and partaking of the herb are things I would rather do real time then being simulated.
@RazzerRedux
But, you be wrong. The last two times we saw MS numbers drop and doom and gloom clowns came out here and pontificate the end of the horrible Xbox they later, for the most part, became silent lwhen the following month Sony PS numbers were released and .(percentage wise) the numbers were a bigger decline. Now of course Sony was still making more money but, the overall decline from the previous year to year was bigger drop for Sony. I am willing bet this same pattern ...
@RazzerRedux
"we don't know what they will have at all"
We do have history to fall back on. And know that, beyond fanboy dreams, it be foolish to spend the resources early on on games that could be better capitalize revenue with a larger audience later on. I can guarantee you there won't be a barrage of new content the first year from their first-party studios. They aren't going to spend the capital and then have to wait several years while ...
I don't know why you received downvotes. Maybe the two Stadia fans left don't like facts. You are right. This has nothing to do with Stadia and everything to do with having YouTube become the center for all things eSports, the ESPN of eSports if you will. That is an area where Google actually may have a chance to enter gaming (but not an actual console competitor) and can take the lead in eSports before something like Amazon's Twitch (also making moves in this area) does. There...
