Except it isn't 10.2TFs. That is a lie on Sony's part. The call it variable frequency but it really is a 9.2TF running at 2Ghz that in rare moments can up the frequency of the GPU topping out at 2.23Ghz to get 10.2TF then quickly drop it down before they fry the APU. Almost exclusively the PS5 will be around 1.9GHz to 2Ghz which is 9.2TF just like the GitHub files called it. This was probably cobbled together these past few months when it became apparent the XSX was 12TF and doing ...
The experience between the X and Pro was obvious adn easily discenrable in many games from third party developers. To call out it didn't have games is moving the goal posts. What games did Sony make specifically for the Pro? Yeah, your argument is moot. Neither mid-gen console was designed for new games but to make the current gen better experience for 4K. A new gen is a completely different scenario where games will be made for the specs from the ground up and not be solely reliant on ...
Sorry but it is 3TF difference. That 10.2TF at 2.23GHz is a boost number and not even remotely sustainable for any length of time (hence why they snuck in "variable" into the specs). It seems like a last minute move to prop up the console above that 9.2TF to get people to actually believe that is what you will get. It is just PR move to save face. You will not see 10.2TF experience other then for rare brief moments before it has to be cut down quickly. Expect the vast norm to be ...
I noticed that too. It seemed like a intentional rather then accidental slip. Because, you can bet that Microsoft went over that DT video before they could release it to make sure the NDA they signed was not violated (e.g. mentioning things Microsoft did not want released at this time). So, Microsoft would have had them removed it if was false or if they didn't want the info in some way out. I can guarantee you DF saw a lot more then they talked about and will be able to talk about later...
I won't be dramatic. Remember the biggest difference for Microsoft is the APU cost (not counting the memory) And you don't pay for the APU itself or how much more tech/power that APU has. You pay for the wafer that you derive many APUs from not the tech itself or power. The APU cost calculated from yields and I can guarantee it is nowhere near a $100 more. They would have to have pretty bad yields to really be dramatically more costly. In fact the higher electrical needs (greater h...
First you need to learn to read. To help they even have video for dimwits like yourself.
Secondly, what does this have to digital anything? It is storage. You install your games to storage. Whether that is physical or downloaded it all next-gen Xbox games are installed on the internal or this optional fast SSD storage. This is not sold with games like a cartridge nor is it required or even needed for this for playing previous gen games.
The question was PC downloadable games. Moving goal posts I see while ignoring the point. PSNow has zero downloable PC games. And even so PSNow does not have way more downloadable games for PS4 vs GP for Xbox. Maybe more crappy games downloaable on PS5 that is for sure. But since every game in GP is downable, that means over 200 games. I highly doubt PSNow is way more. Just the fact that Sony stuffs so much repetitive older (and much older) content in their catalog should tell you that t...
Sure, 2 minute long user made playable (demo) will be on Dreams for a minute, then taken off a minute later for copyright violations. Dreams will be dead with the year. It has no legs. It is the type of game/program that has to be on everything (like Minecraft) to make it succeed. And not get on everything 18 months later but on everything now (Xbox, Switch, PC, phones). That isn't happening. Which means Dreams will be nothing more then a few Dream hobbyists playing around a pretty em...
Not true. It is $9.99 a month or $60/year. People don't buy it because the games are still quite old (newest is Control (released around 7 months ago and will be gone from PSNow 7 months from now) The rest of the PSNow catalog still years old. Even the other Marquee games are (TR)18 months and (Wolf) 2 1/2 years old. If they start arriving a few months after or day of then watch the subscription numbers explode. And the fact that Sony does not provide access to their own games with an...
You might want to thank Stadia as it appears they are paying for a lion share Bauldur's Gate development. But, at the same time (unlike others we shall not mention) are not limiting where it can be appear (like PS5 or XSX) only that BG must take advantage of certain Stadia features when on the platform. And I am not Stadia fan but only the X has shown to run games (graphically) better then Stadia.
That would be one way but, the library to do that is not there. Most of the games people want to play are actually games being released now (like Doom or Cyberpunk) not older games like Destny. Following that model it would only be like Netflix if Netflix was giving you the ability to stream most of the movies from major movie studios (blockbusters included) on the day they release in the theaters. That is not a workable model either. Without a library to lean on (what is right now about ...
Except just because Microsoft hasn't talked about it directly doesn't mean that it won't be as capable if not more so. Just couple weeks ago I was arguing with people here about environmental audio. Where they stated that Xbox was not going to have anything because Microsoft hadn't talked about it. Even though Xbox has both Dolby Atmos and DTS:X support right now. But, as of yesterday Spencer specifically called out that RT will include environment acoustic as part of its fea...
Sony is not doing anything right now. That is not being defensive. That is like the defensive line on a football team not blocking and just letting the offensive run its play. Being defensive requires an action (counter action) of some sort not just standing around. I wish Sony was at least being defensive in some way. Prefer being offensive but, Sony needs to be somewhere on the playfield. Right now all you get is defensive reactions from fan boys not Sony itself.
No, they never said that. They said they are fully focused on this gen at the moment. And will determine how to handle next-gen after they release the game. I personally expect the game to be updated within 6 months after the arrival next gen consoles. Definitely the type of game that can get people to buy into a next-gen console.
I agree it won't be a launch title. However, if you are going to use an article as evidence you might want to actually read the article you are linking to. In this case it seems to disagree with you about when HB2 will be released.
Direct from the article: "It's one of the first confirmed Xbox Series X games, but Microsoft didn't refer to it as a launch title, suggesting it will launch a few months after the new Xbox. That would put Hellblade 2's relea...
Not paranoid enough to close their headquarters. You would think with Japan having a great deal more cases of the virus then all of the US and Tokyo having 14 million people walking the streets and jamming themselves in the subway cars (touching each other, breathing and coughing) Sony be much more concerned about their employees coming to their headquarters in downtown Tokyo. But, it seems that petri dish of potential outbreak does not scare Sony enough to close the office or even stop p...
Attending one less event out those 100's of other events Sony said they be at instead of E3. Maybe they will add little Jimmy's PS themed birthday party to their event list to make up for missing PAX East.
I also find this excuse is strange. PAX East is in Boston not the East (Asia). Maybe they should just close down all of Sony. /s And from what I have seen no other big companies are leaving the show. The Coronavirus seems to be an excuse to avoid things or to p...
@DARK_WOLF
Ugh? You do you, we will do us. And multiple developers have come out and said they sell more product being part of Game Pass then they had or would have outside of Game Pass. Many games get experienced that never would have without GP.
By the way. Do you buy games on sale? If so, then a big "ugh" to you. How dare you are take food off the plates of those developers starving children. Always pay full list price.
PS3 was revealed at E3 2005 over 18 months before its release in November 2006.
This comparable to the past is note even remotely true.
* PS1 for NA was revealed 5 months early at the first E3 May 1995 for September release. That doesn't even count that it was released much earlier (before the E3 announcement) in Japan Dec 1994
* PS2 revealed in March 1999 for the following March 2000 release in Japan (12 months) or Nov 2000 in NA...
