Except Microsoft didn't reveal it. Tell me what is the memory size? What is the CPU speed? GPU specs? Storage amount? Exactly system features changed are new. What AI, physics, etc.. are integrated? Microsoft showed the front of the console and front the controller but, actually didn't talk about anything. Is the controller battery fixed internally or removable? Did they make the battery life 40hrs like the Elite 2 Controller? Did they add the hepatic feedback from their patents re...
Would there be that never streaming crowd rallying against Stadia. Sure. However, if Stadia had come out the gate with the features Google actually had shown off and not delayed many of the key ones (manyof those still in the wind) and the service actually resembled the experience they showed off (made it out to be) then I bet it would have a much more positive reaction from many at the moment. But, as it stands Google/Stadia were woefull...
I am still trying to figure out what the deal is. Is he trying to show he can make a "gaming" PC (I use that term loosely here) that is comparable to a console or at least proving you don't have to spend $1200 to build a gaming rig? He essentially made a Xbox One S. This PC is all digital (no player) and plays games like Doom at the lowest of the lowest (even the S plays better fidelity then this machine). It apparently cost him more $350. But, he could have gone out and bought...
Why people who release these images make it so easy to find them is beyond me? That bar code is unique to each box and whoever is responsible should have spent a few minutes blurring it out. Somebody from Microsoft is going to be making an angry call to the company that barcode is assigned to and find out who had access to the box (if they don't know already). Maybe somebody won't have a job a few days from now.
Yes you can by setting up Steam Linux version on your Chromebook. You can have access to your whole Steam Linux capable library. I don't know how well it will work because most Chromebooks are primarily email and web browsers and would have a difficult time running anything on Steam (even the dumbed downed simpleton games). Chromebook sell best at sub $300 which means most are crap gaming devices and I wouldn't expect a new sub $300 Windows laptop to run games any better. As soon a...
When? If you look their big announcement that Stadia did just the other day of things coming to Stadia in 2020 the most notable absence was any mention of the free tier. So, free is not on the horizon for what looks like a while. And what happens when xCloud or an improved PSNow arrive in 2020 (or early 2021) and they both have some form of free tier? You don't think Microsoft or Sony is seeing blood right now and wants to cut off the snakes head ASAP? Lets ignore Game Pass will be f...
The problem is they don't have the data servers. That is a misconception about Googles actual data center presence. This is especially true with respect to the level of data center presence that is needed for a game streaming service. Worldwide Google Cloud is not well represented compared to Microsoft Azure or Amazon AWS infrastructures. You can look these companies maps of region support and see how much more vast Microsoft is worldwide (Azure is at least double the size in just su...

Saying Remote Play has been around 14 years and that as actually being similar is disingenuous. RemotePlay history form PS4 to devices like Android is not long at all. For almost the whole time RemotePlay was for PSP and PSVita only. Streaming remotely to specific Sony gaming hardware from another Sony specific gaming hardware. Remote Play did not come to Android phones until 2014 and that was for the Xperia phones only (another Sony specific device). And it did n...
Why? It will be one of those silly cross-gen games. I hear they will not be any good. How can they? /s It be much better to wait for the Switch version. That one is going to be awesome.
OK give me good examples for PS4 or PS3 gen when then had guns blazing at the start of the gen with high quality first-party games that didn't look and act as if as they could have easily been made on the previous gen as well. This gen is going to be no different and the big hitters won't arrive day one or even 6 months later. For PS4 the first thing that looked like a real next gen game was almost over 18 months later with Bloodborne in 2015. Which is longer away from the PS4s rel...
There will be three major games with Asian themed in feudal Japan that will appear from late last year to late next year. You want to talk about a subject matter that is not exactly fresh at this time it would be feudal Japan. I look forward to games like Tsushima but a big single player game with a early Norse theme in comparison (other then GOW) has been quite sparse.
Secondly, Ubisoft so far with the last two seem to be doing this in an orderly manner, historically wi...
@Elda
Depends on what you mean by reveal. Sony certainly does not usually reveal their consoles specs at E3. at E3 they reveal games and give colorful stage show presentation of a device that has already (in most cases) had much of (if not all) of the specs previously discussed at other Sony event(s). Only one of 4 consoles so far has been revealed at E3 and that was the PS3.
PS4 was revealed at a PS Meeting in February 20th 2013
PS3 was revealed on May 16...
@AngelicaIceDiamond
No they wouldn't have. If we are comparing it to the PS4 announcement and I assume we are if February is the date in question, then Sony didn't announce the actual PS meeting until (I believe what was) an investors meeting around 3 weeks before the Feb 20th reveal. Plenty of time. In fact nothing is stopping them announcing only days before.it happens. The media invited will just get on planes a be where they need to be and we will watch it from afar ...
Each system has it's idiosyncrasies with online. With Sony you have to pay for PS+ to have cloud saves and it is somewhat of a pain in comparison to the free for everybody and fully automatic, unlimited storage approach that Microsoft gives to its users. Personally, I wish Sony took this much more user friendly approach while Microsoft gave F2P games access to all gamers. But,it is what is right now.
I don't know. I have bought two games for myself and two games for my brothers in the past seveal months. The free games only got me going to the site. I am not stuck worshiping one store (or a plastic box) over another. I go where the best particular deal is and where I feel they really want my business. I have watched as a few of my friends who have gone from Epic is evil and the store sucks a while back to buying content there is as well.
Yeah, you patent something you will lose in this very niche arena. This idea that there aren't already many patents dealing with tracking is wrong. Plus, there is already an open initiative by everybody else (Oculus, HTC, Valve, etc..) to standardize and open up the VR platform. Sony is late to this whole standarization move. They have sought out their own path not willing to work with others. Maybe they want to change. h Trying to wrangle in the various VR platforms via a patent doesn...
