A movie-to-game that has a bad review. Hollywood really needs to just stop ruining our childhood.
I wasn't really expecting anything less than great for this game. The graphics look good, and the gameplay looks good. It's the formula for a fun game.
yet very true. I wonder how things will pan out as the iPhone/iTouch become more mainstream in handheld gaming.
I pray that it does, lol. Everyone does. This is supposed to be a VERY big release with regards to a number of class changes and new additions to the game. Some class specs got nerferd (i.e. Frost on Death Knights), while others, like Mages, will be enjoying their newer modifications. Man, I just hope it's balanced.
lol. Couldn't agree with you more, dude. During major patch releases like these, you can only expect a handful of atrocities; one of them being downtime (which I'm hoping doesn't occur on my server). Hopefully, as you said, it turns out to be a smooth patch. **crosses fingers**
The patch that every WoW player has been waiting for. As I try to log-in to check it out, my server is on the list of "extended maintenance". Meh. Time to go punch some mirrors.
I will have to concur with the review. Although the connection issues can seem tedious - which I hope will get fixed -, the game itself offers a great deal of fun. It's definitely in its own league.
It's pretty funny people are reporting this story as fake when the site itself has a direct quote as well as a direct link to his site. The funniest thing is the number of reports the story is getting. Being that Jaffe was a direct employee of Sony Santa Monica, I'm pretty sure he developed relationships with sources in and out of Sony's structure. Problem is, some folk just can't grasp that concept. That, as well as trying to fathom that the PS3 actually CAN have a price drop.
Another means for us to get content :) Let's hope it's not fail.
With a name like that, I'm positive you've yet played any other RPG except those the Xbox has thrown out. Get informed, son. Go play some REAL RPGs.
You don't get that feeling anymore of reminiscing on past titles like FF7 and smiling to yourself at how great the story was and how you yourself experienced it. Classic titles that leave classic memories... oh how I miss past times of gaming.
I honestly believe that the Final Fantasy series have become somewhat overrated. There are tons of jrpg's out there that, in both gameplay and story, slap it around quite a bit. Xenogears being one of them (and it is my favorite game of all time).
@Gun_Senshi
Although I agree with most of your points (Xenogears and Chrono Trigger being better than FF being one of them), I would have to say that this statement, "Anyway JRPGs Quality is not declining. Its the majority ...
because it hasn't released yet in North America.
An awesome feature, I might add. I want to see who the biggest loser will be.
I would agree with you on some points. Not all games this generation are bland. Games, as you've mentioned, like Valkyria Chronicles and Demon's Souls are, in fact, great. Those are games, like the author was stating, that leave a mark on you. Lost Odyssey? I wouldn't call that game mind-blowing.
It's all relative to each person's perspective/opinions. I, myself, enjoyed the games of the past because they always TRIED (keyword) to relay some sort of message with the game. Gam...
The author makes some really interesting points which are both funny and factual.
It's becoming more of an annoyance than a treat, actually. It would be funny as hell if he's hyping a game that's going to be a 2D sidescroller.
Jaffe needs to come hard with whatever he's working on next. I don't want another title anticipated like "Calling All Cars" and then it turns out to blow chunks. Although he has titles like God of War and Twisted Metal under his belt (which is pretty solid from the start), he really hasn't released anything that we can dub great since then.
Hoping that he comes back hard with whatever he's making, I'll keep my fingers crossed.
The writer makes some pretty interesting points. Funny stuff in there too. lol
very in depth pinpointing just about everything i needed to know about the game. i'm glad that this one is a must buy.
