yes the PS3 might be outselling the 360 worldwide, but guess what? at the rate that its outselling it, the PS3 might catch the 360 by what, 2015 or so? we'll all have been playing our Xbox 720 (or whatever it will be called) for at least 12-24 months by then.
another thing to remember is that there are more people out there that own 360s than PS3s, meaning theres a larger population of PS3-less gamers to buy PS3s than there are 360-less gamers to buy 360.
eg. a subse...
im always very skeptical about a company announcing shortages, when its plain as day that you can just check online retailers and see they still have plenty of stock.
stupid typo again: should read ' so in a single year, any year, North America sells more 360s than Japan has sold OVERALL. '
no reason why uncharted 2 couldnt be done on the 360. graphically, Uncharted 2 is a mixed bag, and doesnt look half as good as the PS3 fanboys make it out to look.
i thought the 360 was 'maxed out', and that Uncharted 2s graphics werent even possible on the 360, let alone graphics that easily surpass Uncharted 2s?
lol
sony fanboys must be so used to eating their own words by now.
killzone 2s cover system was as far from intuitive as you can possibly get lol. sticking to cover, aiming over the cover, and shooting required you to hold 3(!!!!) buttons, one of them being the horrible and hard to keep holding L2.
Killzone 2 has a cover system. thats really all there is to say about it. its not great, its not even good, its not intuitive, but it HAS a cover system. Gears of War has an intuitive cover system - its easy to use, and works like it should.
ok this annoys me - people say that the PS3 'murders' the 360 in Japan, and that that puts PS3 sales way ahead. have any of you actually seen the sales in japan? to date, they have sold about 4.7 million PS3s (as of March 1 2010: http://www.edge-online.com/... )
there are currently about 20 million 360s sold in North America alone, so in 4 years that averages out to 5 million ...
lol
answer me this question - does Tekken 6 run at a resolution of at LEAST 720p on the 360 AT ALL? yes you say? of course it does.
does the PS3 version? no. never. 576p only.
so in conclusion - 360 version runs in >720p, PS3 version runs in <720p. not disputable.
lol wtf greywulf?
i didnt make any 'arguments' about system wars or natal or ANYTHING like that? all i was doing was pointing out the hypocricy of PS3 fanboys.
when you use a camera to recognise movement there is ALWAYS lag. the picture has to get taken, sent through to the PS3, then put up on the screen. it is physically impossible to have it not have any lag - all you have to do is look at the eyetoy to see this.
where you WONT have lag is when the c...
compression was always going to hurt video quality. what compression DOESNT hurt though is the in-game assets.
the lower resolution hurts that lol.
look, you fanboys are getting all worked up over nothing.
the PS3 version IS THE BETTER VERSION, HANDS DOWN. it IS better than the 360 version because it has better graphics and you dont have to change discs.
BUT - and this is a BIG 'but' - GAMEPLAY wise, both versions are IDENTICAL. if you play it on the 360 youre playing the exact same game as you would on the PS3. it just doesnt look quite as nice. thats it.
thats why theyre reviewing the same - its ...
typo, its 720p on 360 not PS3.
my apologies.
@Immortal Kaim:
thats the sony fanboy way - hate on everything that your console doesnt have UNTIL it gets it, then blindly say that same thing is the best thing since sliced bread and how sony are so revolutionary for getting it.
it happens with everything the PS3 gets 'after the fact':
- Bioshock and other previously 360 exclusive games: when it was a 360 exclusive, it wasnt worth getting. it was rubbish, boring, bad graphics, and a 5/10 game. then it ...
@Greywulf:
Killzone 2 has 200ms of input lag with the dualshock, so if Move has that much.....
ive already got a PSEye, and living in australia im not looking forward to the pricing of this. a US$60 game is AU$100, so a US$100 Move pack will be pushing AU$200. unless they sell the Move + Sub-Controller for less than $100 i will not be buying it. Same with Natal - unless its around $100 or less im not interested.
tekken 6 was in 576p resolution on PS3 but 720p on PS3.........you do know that dont you?
namco should make tekken 7 exclusive to the 360 so its not being held back by the PS3 lol.
and yes, that last sentence was obviously sarcastic. the first one wasnt though, tekken is not even 720p on PS3.
maybe theyre reviewing it as a GAME, not a MOVIE and are basing the reviews on GAMEPLAY more than purely graphics? cause apart from the graphics, the versions are identical.
how can you say forza doesnt even have half the content of GT5? it has MORE tracks than GT5, and it has - going by the released lists of cars so far - more UNIQUE cars than GT5. GT5 slaps a different MYxx number on many cars, slaps a new coat of paint on it, and counts it as a whole new car. MY98 WRX? got it. MY99 WRX? got it, despite the fact that its the same car as the MY98, thats still counted as 2 cars in GT.
Forza 3 is not the norm for racing games. every other racing game...
could not agree more.
every single other LoT comparison is rubbished by the same PS3 fanboys now claiming LoT to be the definitive voice in comparisons. itd be funny if it wasnt so blatantly sad.
when there are more than one out of every hundred games that require more than 1 disk, then we can talk about blu-ray being needed. as it is we have:
lost odyssey - FMV heavy RPG
ffXIII - FMV heavy RGP
mass effect 2 - dialogue heavy (possibly fmv too) RPG
blue dragon - FMV heavy RPG
forza 3 - content heavy racer, having 2 models (normal detail, ultra high detail) for each of the 400 cars, and over 100 tracks.
thats it. 5 games out of the what,...
Strikepackage Bravo is right though - in terms of videogames, the America IS the world. they sell the most games, the most consoles, and make the best games (generally speaking, of course).
The 360s US sales make up about HALF of the 360s total sales, and its probably about the same for the PS3.
anyone saying that the USA isnt the biggest most important region for videogames is fooling themselves, and theyre flat out wrong.
japan DOES mean nothing - t...
