personally i found god of war 3 to be better than Uncharted 2 in every single conceivable way - graphics, sound, gameplay, immersion.....you name it, its better.

MW2s online is great and always has hundreds of thousands of people playing it. BFBC2? we'll soon see i suppose, give it a few months. i LOVE the game, but it doesnt have the pick up and play factor that MW2 does.
so who were the guys that were 100% sure - and got abusive when you disagreed with them - that God of War 3 would shift 2-3+ million copies on day one? who was saying this game would be the highest selling game of the year, even beating Halo Reach? Reach will beat 1 million in the US alone in the first 2 hours of release, probably racking up 3-4 million worldwide on day one going by past releases.

The PS3s (and 360s) CPU/GPU/RAM setup is just not good enough to do anything more than the most basic games in native 1080p while maintaining a framerate that you cant count on one hand.
its simply not possible. its like you saying you believe the NES can do even 480p - it just cant, the hardware is literally not capable of it.

the thing is that Halo was NOT run of the mill at its time of release - it was a breath of fresh air. no other shooter, especially on consoles, had done what halo did.
it started the whole FPS obsession on consoles, as well as online and split-screen multiplayer.

300 000 might not seem like a lot to you, but there is no other game in console history that has managed to maintain such a large player-base.
like the guy above me, last time i logged on to Uncharted 2 there were less than 5000 players online. theres even less playing Killzone 2. Halo 3 came out in 2007 yet it has more people play it online in a single day than the amount of people that play probably every PS3 exclusive added together in a month.
doesnt matter how many 360s YOUR store has that dont sell, they shipped 420k of them in February, so you cant say theyre not selling. almost half a million consoles in a month says they are.

the PS3 outselling the 360 years after the 360 has been replaced is a non-event. the generation is over the second the replacement console comes out. you can - and do - keep counting sales for the lifetime of the console, but its all just bragging rights. ie. microsoft know they lost against the PS2, hence discontinuing the xbox. sony know they won, so they continually like to brag about how well the PS2 keeps on selling.

no its not, not at all.
nothing i said is even remotely fanboy-like. its a fact that the majority of all sales are from the US, as are the majority of the big games.
i dont 'love' either the PS3 or the 360, despite owning both. i didnt 'love' my xbox or PS2 either, nor the PS before that, or the N64/DC/SNES/NES/Megadrive/Mast er System before that. all i care about are the games.

yeah im not a fan of lots of the 'mainstream friendly' elements that have been added in to games over the last few generations.
