@raztad,
Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 was looked upon less kindly than the Xboxs Ninja Gaiden 2 because while Sigma 2 had better graphics, it could only have something like half the amount of enemies on screen and had no blood.
i much prefer playing the game how it was meant to be played over playing a cut-down version of it just with better graphics.
not buying something because it might break is stupid, especially when it gets fixed for free if it does.
"no, I am simply critiquing what I feel to be an average LOOKING game with great lighting"
just like Killzone 2.
Killzone 2 has horrible texture work, low-polygon character models, and poor anti-aliasing - but it hides most of that with very impressive, but not realistic, lighting. can anyone tell me the last time you looked up towards the sky and saw lens flares? cause every time you do it in Killzone 2 you get lens flares all over the place.
@whitto,
God of War 3s water looks nice in screenshots, but when you play the game youll notice that the water is not dynamic and has no interaction with the player AT ALL. that was one thing that shocked me in God of War 3, as God of War 2 and even God of War 1 both featured dynamic water. how they could not do it for God of War 3 is quite puzzling.
Im not sure if Alan wakes water is dynamic or not, but that question only comes up if you can even get in the water. s...
if youre going to think of it that way (which is stupid btw) then you have to wonder why people would buy a PS3 or 360 at all to play on their 1080p TV, since neither of them have more than a tiny handful of 1080p games in the first place?
people dont buy games for their resolution. i bet if you hadve played the game without being told its resolution you would NOT be able to guess that its less than 720p.
a higher resolution does NOT equal better graphics. if it did...
im sorry, did you say that FEATURE WISE, Killzone 2 is better than Halo 3? hahahahahahahahahahahahaha
what features does Killzone 2 even have?
does it have an on-the-fly map editor? no. halo 3 does.
does it have a replay feature? no. halo 3 does.
does it have a co-op campaign? no. halo 3 does
does it have community features like video/picture/game mode sharing? no. halo 3 does.
does it have 4 player split-screen local and online play? no. halo...
so youre upgrading your PC so you can play Gears of War, but you *dont* want to play Gears of War 2, which is a better game?
if i didnt have a 360, 3 of the games that i would want the most on my PS3 are:
1. Geometry Wars Retro Evolved 2
2. Perfect Dark HD
3. Shadow Complex
all XBLA games, all brilliant titles that everyone seems to overlook in the battle of exclusive games. ive sunk more hours into those games than most full retail games, and have put more hours into Geometry Wars than into all my PS3 games put together lol.
99% of the people on here saying 'eh i...
here is the 'minority report' demo by Sony:
http://www.youtube.com/watc...
a few things....
1. in minority report the people using it werent holding a remote in each hand. that just doesnt feel natural. Natal just uses your hands.
2. watch that video, and note the lag - its about equal to or worse than that of Natals. while it is true that the inputs from the Move controll...
depends who the article is talking about. i never really saw any of the big publications over-hype any of those games. fanboys though? they did PLENTY of hyping, mainly for (off that list) LBP and MAG. why? because PS3 fanboys hype EVERY exclusive PS3 game purely because its exclusive.
im fine with him going through why he doesnt like the new changes etc, but the final paragraph really irks me.
hes basically saying 'as a stealth game it doesnt work, its more an action game' - but thats the thing, Conviction wasnt supposed to be a slow-paced methodical stealth-only game. it was supposed to be an action game with stealth, more like the show 24 than the older Splinter Cell games. like IGN said, its about showing how much of a bad-arse Sam Fisher is, and how you a...
Ju, do your research - IBM made the CPU for both the 360 and PS3. they even have come out specifically stating that they created the cell, then used the knowledge they gained from creating that to make the 360s CPU.
straight from the horses mouth. in the same article they also say that all things considered, both the PS3 and 360 are pretty much equal power wise. PS3 fanboys just choose to ignore that though, as it proves their 'the PS3 is so much more powerful' lies incorrect. ...
what i find hilarious is ps3 fanboys saying that the story and gameplay of crisis sucks and then they say they want Killzone 3. the 2 worst things about Killzone 2 were its story and gameplay lol.
lol
there is NO game on the PS3 or 360 that wouldnt run on the other console. both consoles are so similar in actual performance that its really not even worth comparing. you get different graphical nuances on each console - PS3 has more washed out colours, just like the PS2 before it, generally has less or worse Anti-Aliasing. 360 has more vibrant colours (often can be too vibrant) and things can tend to look shiny like they did on the Dreamcast.
but overrall its 6...
the PS3 analogue sticks are horribly innacurate and loose compared to the 360s. that combined with the convex top instead of concave means that the 360 analogues offer much better and more precise control.
why would i have to wait? if the new XCOM looks good ill just buy it on my 360.....
all im saying is that theyll jump up and down saying its exclusive, when its really a timed exclusive. just come out and say its a timed exclusive.
personally, i think a 12 month timed exclusivity is a killer for the console that gets it 12 months later. everyone that wants to have played it will already have played it, and other games have had 12 months to improve on that.

giving MGS4 a 10/10 was the biggest sign that they sometimes review the big games based on hype more than anything. the review was clearly written by an MGS fanboy though, and he was very biased. it was going to get a 10 before he even played it.
and like Bioshock this will come to the PS3 after 12 months as well.
after their whole 'Bioshock will never ever come to PS3' spiel, im not taking again 'exclusive' they announce as exclusive.
FFXIII should have been better than it is on the 360 though.
in-game wise, there is NO reason why the 360 version shouldnt have been exactly the same as the PS3 version. cut-scene wise, the 360 version was always going to be worse. it shouldnt have been as bad as it was, but it was always going to be noticeably worse.
the fact that there are MANY 360 multiplatform and exclusive games that have much better and grander graphics than even the PS3 version of FFXIII prov...
