"Especially LBP, the way it’s written, yeah."
that says it all. LBP was written in code that only works on the PS3, as its a PS3 exclusive by a Sony owned company. hes 100% correct - AS IT IS, LBP2 would not work on the 360.
if they were porting it to the 360 though, theres absolutely no reason why LBP wouldnt work. is the gameplay complex? absolutely not. are the graphics too good? absolutely not (it would probably actually look better on the 360 b...
i bought my 360 for a few reasons.
1. i buy every console so i can play every game that gets released.
2. the original xbox was great.
3. the games on the 360 looked great.
4. the controller looked and felt absolutely brilliant.
the PS3 didnt even come into it, and theres no reason why it should. buy a 360 because you want a 360.
lol
"The Bolt Gun however were fantastic, it's my favourite gun in a FPS since Duke Nukem's shrink gun"
guess you didnt play FEAR or any of the other games that had a bolt/rail gun years before Killzone 2.
the Anti-Aliasing in Killzone 2 was Quincunx, ie. 'smear vaseline all over the screen'. it was horrible, just like it is in Bioshock, and just like it is in Red Dead Redemption.
also, Killzone 2s engine didnt allow for detailed textures. textures were of very low res, and when combined with the Quincunx AA everything was very blurry.
agree about the input lag though. it is dreadful, inexcusable, and if it is there in Killzone 3 i am not buying it.
and to think PS3 fanboys made fun of 360 owners because Microsoft charge for some gamer pics and themes. oh how the times have changed.
my favourite part is how everyones excited about jetpacks now and saying how cool they are, but when Halo Reach announces theyve got jetpacks these same people were saying how gay they are and that theyre stupid for including them.
the laughs keep coming with fanboys.
are you in australia? I am, and while i only looked at a handful of movies, all of them were $24.99 to purchase in SD, $32.99 in HD.
this article says the same thing: http://www.techau.tv/blog/t...
"I don’t think many people will be buying movies on the PS3 Movie Store, cost wise you’d be much better off buying in a retail store – to buy HD movies cost A$32.99, while the SD version costs...
so you think that $25 is a good price to pay for a standard definition copy of a movie that is only watchable on your PS3?
if thinking that is a ripoff makes me a fanboy then i guess i am one lol.
had a look at this the other day..........AU$24.99 to buy a STANDARD DEFINITION movie. no deal sony, no deal.
HD is not the reason for the HDMI update to the 360. i was playing my launch 360 in 1080p (well if i wanted to, although i ran it in 720p) via Component long before HDMI was on 360s.
HDMI was added because thats the standard connection these days - no other reason.
Rockstar have never come out and said that Red Dead Redemption IS natively 720p on the PS3, have they? just because they havent confirmed that it is 640p it doesnt mean that it isnt.
pixel counting is not 'guessing', its an exact measurement.
it doesnt matter what it says on the back of the box - or do you believe that every single 360 game is native 1080p? cause they all say 1080p on the back of the box.
most people that got the seriously 2.0 achievement just replayed the mission in Gears 2 where youre controlling the brumack - iirc you can get about 50-100 kills in that bit alone. load it up, play that bit, quit, load it up again - rinse and repeat.
there are many people that have the achievement, and youll find that is how 99.9999% of them got it.
i couldnt give 2 $hits what resolution a game is in.
i grew up playing the atari, commodore 64, DOS games, etc.........so you wont find me whinging about a game being less than 720p when i had the time of my life playing monochrome games in like 300x200 resolution.
the only people that resolution matters to are the people who want to find a reason to bag out the game and the console that the game is on. thats it, noone else. for all the PS3 fanboys that want ...
keep the 'weightiness' of the controls if you HAVE to, thats fine - but if they dont get rid of the 200ms of input lag, im not buying Killzone 3. simple as that.
Killzone 2 has the single longest lag between pressing a button and having the action happen on screen that i have ever seen in any game on any platform. it is NOT the 'weight' of the guns, it is input lag. the 'weight' of the guns is the MOMENTUM based turning, making you turn quicker the lon...
seems like im in the minority but im having more fun with MW2 now than when it came out.
theyve fixed all the glitches, theyve added region filters meaning i get full green connection every single match, and theyve balanced everything out well. the ONLY thing that needs changing are the commando-stab distance and how you can do it while getting shot, and the quick-scope sniping.
apart from that though, im having a blast. 4 level prestige and cant see myself s...
if you cant notice those differences you have very poor eyesight.
i think that bungie guy is as big of an idiot as everyone else around here. im not him.
the 360 version is better though.
also, IGNs scores arent averages.
this is a good deal for those that have unmetered internet. unfortunately im not one of them.
I assume that existing foxtel customers wouldnt have to pay any extra fees. its a GREAT option for those that dont have foxtel.
and this isnt anything like PlayTV, so dont even try and say theyre copying sony.
theyre obviously supersampled screens, hence the lack of aliasing.
typical 'trick' that all sony-owned studios do.
