rage doesnt have 200ms of input lag, so rage wins.

graphically, what we've seen of rage beats what we've seen of Killzone 3 too IMO. better texture detail, obviously more unique textures, better character models, and 60fps compared to 30fps. also, i just like the visual style of rage more.

not to mention the fact that snow levels suck in every game, its an easy way for developers to do levels as it allows them to just cover everything in white and cal...

100% agreed.

you dont play Twisted Metal for REALISM lol. you play it, like you said, so you can pull a 180 handbrake turn while launching rockets at a freaking psychotic clown driving an ice-cream truck, while someones launching an explosive person from the front of their car at you.

now ill be the first to admit the graphics were a bit of a let down. it just looks like a slightly upgraded twisted metal black, not a whole new PS3 game. but having grown up p...

as dumb as labwarriors comment sounds, i agree to an extent.

i WILL NOT buy a 3DTV until you dont need glasses to see the 3D. 100% will not buy one. i dont care how great the fanboys will claim that the Sub-HD-3D killzone 3 is, i dont care how great the motorstorm demo is in 3D - if i have to wear glasses to watch it in 3D on the TV i will not buy a 3DTV. call it shallow, call it stupid, call it whatever - i dont care. im not wearing special glasses to watch tv.

yeah you see a very slight bend of a panel on one car, whoop-di-doo.

i watched the video - lots of cars flipping and bumper car-ing off each other, very little else.

and no, not all the cars are remodelled - the 800 'standard' cars are just upscaled GT4 cars. you can tell this by the fact that they still dont have individual panels - the gaps in the body work (ie. where the doors/bonnet meet the fenders) are not 3D, theyre still just black lines in th...

im sorry, why are people getting so excited about this? all that video shows is cars flipping. theres hardly even a scratch on ANY of the cars in all those crashes!

and for the 800 cars that DONT have the underside of the cars modelled, it looks ridiculous when they flip.

GT5, since E3, has started looking more and more like a joke. only 200 actually newly modelled cars, no damage on 80% of the cars in the game, only 70 variants of tracks............Forza 3s ...

@blasian,

thats nothing special - Metropolis Street Racer did that waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back on the Dreamcast. fun fact: MSR is the prequel to Project Gotham Racing. it even went a step further - the time of day in the race would be whatever the real time of day is in the country that the track your racing is located in.

@suunyd:

no, they havent. GT5, the full release, is still upscaled 1080p.

also, IF GT5 does 1080p in 3D, it will run at 24fps as per the PS3s 3D specifications. that would be absolutely horrible for any game, let alone a driving simulator. knowing PD, they will not do that.

ummmm no, Standard Cars only get scratches/dirt/minor dents. Premium cars are the ONLY cars that feature deformed panels and loose panels. they specifically stated this in the article:

"Dirt, Scratches, and Dents
This is damage that can be visually seen, and involves dirtying of the body, scratches and dents. Affects all cars.

Separation (dislocation) of Body Panels
This is damage in which body panels are dislocated from their original po...

youre not missing much with EyePet, trust me. its been out everywhere apart from america for like 8 months, and its not that good even for a kids game. the motion sensing isnt the best, you often have to do things multiple times before the game will recognise it (and no, move wont change this as using the card you still do exactly what the game wants you to do, and on screen you are doing it, but the game just doesnt recognise it), and theres really nothing to do apart from dress the eyepet u...

@clarkdef:

anyone calling Forza 3 ugly is sony fanboy and/or blind. no, the cars in GT4 do not have better detail than even Forza 2, let alone forza 3.

@apena89:

no, other manufacturers do NOT pay Polyphony Digital/Sony to put their cars into the game. PD/Sony pay to license all the cars in the game, just like every other game that uses real cars.

dont listen to Dead_Cell, hes wrong.

Premium cars are the ones that have had their car models made completely from the ground up for GT5. these will feature damage.

Standard cars are the ones where they have taken the GT4 car model, upscaled them, and made minor changes to them. unsurprisingly, these ones (all 800 of them) wont feature damage.

@seij555:

Textures? Killzone 2 uses low resolution muddy textures.

Framerate? 30fps cant be done on the 360? really? cause Killzone 2/3 maxes out at 30fps, so does Uncharted 1/2. GOW3 runs at 30fps the majority of the time too. GT5 is 60fps, no doubt......but so is Forza 3, never even dropping a single frame anywhere in the game. MW and MW2, 2 of the highest profile games on ANY console, are also 60fps on the 360 and feature better performance than on the PS3...

@DigitalAnalog:

this whole 'car manufacturers dont allow their cars to be damaged' spiel is a myth created by GT fanboys. if they dont allow it then how has Forza - and since Forza 1 on the xbox might i add - had all these same cars that GT has and had them with full damage? Forza 3 even added rollovers to the mix, another thing that the GT diehards had said the manufacturers wouldnt allow in the hopes of defending GT.

also, to the people saying '...

they put it there because honestly, who reads the manual of a game console (or even game) these days? i know i havent read one in the last 10 years at least or more.

putting the sticker on the front is a warning for people, especially children whos parents buy the console for them. they wont read the manual, so putting the sticker on the front means that EVERYONE that gets the console HAS to see it. then if they move it and it scratches a disc, it is 100% their own fault.

wow, definitely will not be subscribing to Playstation Plus. once you subscribe they basically hold you to ransom, since as soon as you dont renew you cant play ANYTHING that you got through PS Plus.

also, you just know that the 'free' games theyll give you every month will be the ones that noone buys cause theyre rubbish.

'pre-alpha code' is misleading, because the engine was already finished with KZ2. yes, theyll be making improvements to it, but to call it 'pre-alpha' is a blatant attempt to make people forgive anything that may go wrong or look poor with it. pre-alpha is used to refer to very early unfinished code that isnt even ready to be tested by anyone other than the developers, generally because the engine isnt complete. KZ3s engine is just an improved KZ2 engine, so theres really no w...

far out some of you guys are just so blatantly fanboys.

if you go and get the manual for ANY disc tray based piece of machinery, or basically anything that has a spinning disc in it (other than a portable cd player obviously) you will 100% be guaranteed to find the EXACT same warning label that Microsoft put on the 360. it was there in the original PS manual, it was there in the PS2 manual, and i bet if you look its even there in the PS3 manual.
