how can Pay TV justify 5 mins + of ads in between each program when its a paid service?
people seem to be getting dumber and dumber. just because youre paying to use something doesnt mean you automatically have access to that something 'ad-free'. please, show me the law that states that paid services cant have ads. while youre at it, show me the loch ness monster, bigfoot, and the mythical dual 1080p output PS3.

fanboys only care about graphics, actual video game fans care about gameplay.
N4G mainly cares about graphics, hence all the bodily fluid spewing over Uncharted. take away its above average graphics and its a linear plays-itself third person shooter with some of the sloppiest controls youll ever see. but it looks pretty in bullshots, so the fanboys love it.
the rest of us though, especially the ones who grew up on the atari/nes/etc, we can enjoy games even if...

the funny thing about this topic is that its so easy to pick the 'new to video games' people (as in PS/PS2 as their first console). back in the NES/SNES/Master System/Megadrive days, a 6 hour game was LOOOOOOONG, if it even existed. some of the greatest games of all time come from those consoles, and they can be beaten in 2-3 hours. people paid 'full price' for them, and people were happy to do so....

saying "100 000 day 1 players" is very different to saying "100 000 day 1 sales". i played it on day 1, but i havent bought it yet - no doubt i am counted in that 100 000 figure.
i will buy it though, because its an awesome game and i love Trials HD which i did buy.

Woah woah woah - no, they weren't. They collaborated with the actual developers on those titles, but they did NOT develop nor were they behind any of those games. God of war 3 is the only Santa Monica developed game this generation.

the god of war series, while excellent, needs to die. this will be 6 full games in ~8 years (along with 2 HD collections covering 4 games), when really we only needed the main 3.
God of War 1 was epic. 2 was great. 3 was really good, but by then it felt decidedly "last gen" with just a flashy coat of paint. hold block while the enemies go through their attack routines, wait for them to leave themselves open, do your square-square-triangle combo ...
Ive got an 8TB NAS and Play TV, so this would be completely pointless for me.
Its a decent idea, but 500gb is nowhere near enough room for both tv recording and downloaded videos.

Sure, it turns a few million dollars profit every quarter now, but it's still a good $6b away from being profitable overall. In the first lik 4 years of the playstation 3s life the entire division hemmoraged money, billions of dollars worth. They need to increase their profit every quarter from now on like 100 fold for the next few years just to break even on the ps3.

on xbox live, any achievements that i unlock on my Win 7 phone show up on my achievement list on the 360. the whole point of an online system like Live/SEN(PSN) accounts is so they are not limited to the system that youre on. why sony would do this is beyond me.
i bet the PS3 fanatics absolutely love this interface.....despite it being basically a 1:1 ripoff of the Xbox Live Zune Marketplace that they hate so much lol.

ive got over 100 hours in multiplayer on the 360 version, and these days its pretty much ALL Famas/USAS with Frag/SV98 and helicopter/plane spawn killing with helicopters. in general, it sucks.
the USAS with frag rounds is basically like having a quick fire rocket launcher. add in the fact that you can see where every bullet goes, it means you can kill people from far away.....wit...

I love rock band, own all of them and imported the one that wasnt released in australia along with the Pro Guitar, Pro Drums, Keyboard, and have well over 1000 songs.......but this just looks bad IMO.
