One thing is for sure - they wont announce it at the 2012 E3 for a late 2013 release, like some people on here seem to think.
They announced the 360 at E3 2005, then released the console 6 months later. if they announce at this e3, itll be released this holiday season (in america at least). if not, its announced next e3 and released the following holiday season.

I love the games, 1 and 2 (to a lesser extent) are 2 of my all time favourite games - but 3 and the PSP games have kinda drilled the franchise into the ground. very little has changed since the original other than the graphics, and as such the games began to lose their sheen.

optical audio connections CANNOT carry 7.1 surround sound, only up to 5.1. if anyone here has a 7.1 system and has it connected to their PS3 via optical, they are actually only getting 5.1 which is then kinda 'upscaled' to 7.1. its not really 7.1.

Microsoft officially announced that they sold 10 million CONSOLES worldwide over the holidays alone. So how could they possibly have only sold 11 million overall? They didn't, they sold far more.
Gaming bolt are notoriously pro Sony, but more importantly they are a particularly rubbish site, regularly posting ridiculous rumours as fact without any evidence, often being disproven easily.

I was not intending on buying on launch, but waiting for the inevitable ~12 month later hardware revision, because even if I don't buy many games on it it would be a handy media player - but then I saw that it doesn't support avi, DivX, xvid, WMV or ANY of the big/best formats. What a completely idiotic decision that was, to only support mp4 files. Who even uses mp4 these days?

brute force doesnt exploit a loophole in a system or anything, its not really 'hacking' - its just guessing every possible combination of letters to guess passwords.

people underestimate the rifles in Gears 3 (well they did in gears 1 and 2 as well) - ive got 70%+ of my 3000+ kills with the lancer, and ill back myself against anyone in a close range battle with my hipfire lancer against their shotgun. an active reloaded lancer can down someone in about 6-7 bullets, and that only takes a second to hit.

wait, what? similarities? theyre as different as different can be. one uses the not-designed-for-gaming Cell processor, the other uses a more general purpose processor. the only thing similar is that theyre game consoles and they have relatively the same buttons.
