Not every system will have it and hardcore gamers are usually early adopters meaning they aren't necessarily getting an Xbox 360 Natal bundle.
However, I'm excited about the idea of Natal if they can get some compelling games.
To me, unless it is unresponsive like a single core running a virus scanner it is not a problem. If it is such a big deal that your computer runs a whole 20 seconds slower to boot then perhaps you should invest in more RAM, faster hard drive (SSD?) and a faster CPU.
Seeing all the constant hate here (and on other Natal articles) and the positive light in the media indicates to me that Natal is very likely to be a success.
The haters can go and hate, because this is just like that ridiculous claim that a review score of 9.3 for Uncharted 2 is biased. How does a stellar score of 9.3 somehow become a negative. How many games get a score of 9.3? In my mind, these are not gamers, they are constant haters that probably are miserable in their lives...
Actually, I think the Bioware/ME situation is just like GeoW. The publisher/developer owns the ip, but the first 3 games (trilogy) is exclusive due to MS funding.
If you notice, the 1st ME was published by MS and so are both the GeoW gaems!
Although, there are a lot of rumours, I think the likely-hood of it coming to PS3 is slim. People kept having rumours of GeoW series appearing on the PS3 as well. So far that hasn't happened.
"Good point, but easy answer...
It's for everyone that doesn't want a normal PSP. "
Which again begs the question, why would you pay more for for a PSP Go when the customer already did NOT purchase the PSP at a lower price point?
Surely, the barriers to buying the PSP probably wasn't the size or the inclusion of UMD.
The barriers to PSP Go are:
a) Higher price and the highest among the portable game only devices

I think it is just harder to get things going on the PS3. PS3 has many limitations that if worked around will enable you to harness the power significantly better than the competitor.
An article I found (at DDJ) that discusses this (back in 2007) shows that 20 times more work, gives you 22 times more power compared to the Penitum IV at the time. The test was done on a very simple search algoritm.
So you only get as much out of the PS3 as much as you put into it. Simp...
Now I do believe that very rarely does firmwares cause bricked consoles and that this might just be a co-incidence considering the number of people upgrading their firmware on a daily basis.
However, I fail to see how a firmware can cause a console to fail sooner? Well, unless they change the criteria for failure, reset some parameters that determines a console is non-functioning, the firmware is using some part that happens to be broken or is about to be broken anyways.
That would be great. Unfortunately, I don't subscribe to ZunePass, but I love having choices.
I also don't like to be tied to a specific device service.
For what it is worth, MS got this one right. I have been able to move my hard drive around and play all my save games on different consoles. The only crappy thing is they use this proprietary hard drive and I just upgraded to an Elite, but don't have a data transfer cable. I'm supposed to have to pay for this now....
....
This stuff has been worked on for ages. The issue isn't who worked on it first, but who can make it work well and introduce mass adoption.
If anyone MS can do it!!!
By the way, the gesture controls shown here are fairly limited. It seems this could almost be done with a regular 2D camera and some software? It seems to work really well though.
phising schemes affect any service. It really preys on peoples ignorance. It is not a system problem. It's a people problem!!!
I find that N4G gets more and more hostile. Not only the disagrees since I could care less about the anonymous cowards, but the rampant fanboy activity is getting out of hand.
I put "update" in quotes, because Apple considers it an upgrade.
I had to install Adobe Creative Suite CS (don't remember version) and couldn't because the software required a specific version or above on Mac OSX. I believe the "upgrade" cost $70-80.
Needless to say, that alone turned me away from ever buying a Mac. I will admit they are great products, but not enough to justify the cost to me. Besides Vista has really grown on me, especially when...
How do you translate this (from the article) "it'll start at a more expensive point and get cheaper as it goes on" to "Project Natal Is Gonna Be Priced Like a Console"
All Robbie Bach said is that it will initially cost more and then fall in price. Isn't that how most things are priced? I mean would you prefer it cost less then increase in cost? What about a flat price?
I still can't for the heck of me how the author connected the dots like that!!...
This is sloppy considering the circumstances. Everything else seems to be fine and dandy. Now give us a patch that enables the blood as well!
lol... I will take boobs over blood, but must admit that the lack of blood detracts from the game. As much as the developer wants me to believe NGS2 is the ultimate version, without the blood it is NOT. Not that the 360 is either.
Basically Tecmo screwed me over twice and I'm grinning! WTF!!!
Ninja Gaiden (Sigma or not) 2 is an amazing game!!! Personally I think this is the best game this generation thus far. I have already spent 250 hours on the original NG2 and I expect to spend plenty of time absorbing NGS2!!!
I own all NG games to date other than the older NES/SNES/Arcade games!
I like dualwave!
Sounds like Sony is repeating the we don't support MP3 on our "walkman" mitake all over again and embracing proprietary systems. Completely opposite of what I think is one of the greatest reason to own a PS3. It's openness to third party accessory like hard drive, bluetooth headsets and etc.
