One of the most anticipated games this year, especially when the other publishers were so scared they moved their games into the next quarter and out of the Christmas season. This is going to be a great quarter for Activision!!!
I think NG2 was seriously under-rated probably mostly due to the technical issues, but the game is a marvelous masterpiece!
Too bad, the PS3 version other than the graphics was inferior in most of the additional tweaks they did. The 360 version is marred by terrible frame rate issues that in many places makes it almost impossible to play.

Although I agree that it might have introduced some people to gaming, but the vast majority of pirates aren't paying for their games ever. Why? There is no real incentive for them to pay for it.
If you want to try a game, well there are free demos for most games! There are also blockbuster or gamefly. Thus plenty of alternative.

A great game doesn't mean you can't criticize it and a review doesn't make it a poor game not to mention, IGN UK gave it a very respectable 9/10. How many games get 9/10?

Something that is currently impossible on the PS3. The Wii has eveb better numbers considering you can softmod a Wii quite easily, but it might be due to its demographic and accessory based games though....
US might not be the world, but we are the largest market surpassing even Japan. The rest of the world is just about equal to the US market share for console gaming. So NO, we are not the world, but we are the biggest!
Wii is doing great considering everybody in Japan should have a Wii by now. Furthermore, Wii then to get smaller upticks that however lasts longer than the competition.
Personally, I preferred the HD-DVD spec (a completed one at that) that mandated all players have network capability and no region. The storage space is a non-issue, compared to the early adopters that got screwed because their players don't support the "real" blu-ray specs.
It's just the fanbois (here or elsewhere) that run their mouths like a toilet being flushed.

the PSP Go deserves some scrutiny. I always thought the PS3 was a great piece of hardware with only three major issues:
a) price (which is now resolved)
b) the lack of streamlined experience i.e. the lack of standards implemented early in software. Mostly related to PSN.
c) the lack of attachment (that is now alleviated) to PSN accounts. It's impossible to do proper matchmaking if anyone can create a new account at any time.
On the PSP Go, well it seems ...
.... None the less, who says 360 doesn't have exclusives?
