I see no reason to get the 250GB bundle when you can just upgrade to a 320GB for $60, if you do it yourself. Then you are left with a 120GB for any (backup?) purposes. Why bother with the 250GB bundle?
In fact as someone above pointed out, the Uncharted bundle with the sexier phat design cost the same as the slim and comes with the game. Now that is a great deal!!!
Let's not forget that 360 is plagued with piracy as well so we would expect over time that it should have a low attach ratio, but it consistently does well.
The only game that will sell consoles this holiday and most likely next year is FF13 and GT5. With that said, I think the Wii will continue to dominate the console sales!
There is no reason why the Wii should end it's dominance and as we have all seen, the Wii has extremely long legs as opposed to the PS3 who after a price drop and re-design can only match the Wii in sales after a month, while the Wii only had about a week of price drop.
There is no comparison, the ...
How many games come out that is original? Yep, thought so! There are hardly any and when they do, you get all sorts of naysayers and nobody buys it.
Looking at my game catalog and the games I play, I can safely say that most of them are hardly original. The sales reflect this as well, so stop asking for something that is hardly bought and played.
The pictures aren't very good proof and the writing with a sharpie (?) suggest this is not company policy...
I call BS!
It sure is a lot of people, but putting it in perspective with the expected sales numbers for this game, it isn't really that large. I mean this game sells 10x times more than many other games so 10x the signers is still just a small percentage.
I'm not against the petition, but just highlighting the facts. I doubt dedicated servers will be integrated at this point, as it isn't something you just slap in at the last minute. It might just be too late.....
mrmmm... NO!
The 360 isn't the one that requires an installation to keep up. That my friend is the PS3!!!
That means that this is a great feat, but let's hope we don't get intermittent freezes like KZ2 loading. I would rather take an optional install instead....
Yeah, 3rd party is not so good unless it is licensed. Like the PS2 Katana memory cards!
Look for officially licensed stuff, because saving $10 isn't worth loosing your save games.
I have had the most freezes on variety of games on the PS3. Just the other day, I had a freeze on NGS2....
What the heck is this?
Apart from the terribly written article that sounds like I outsourced my editing to lowest bidder in India, it is outdated. There is no longer a PRO sku....
I guess the 360 fanboys must have gotten to you over the years, eh?
Feeling a little frustrated when the 360 does well?
I suggest you go play your PS3 as nothing has really changed, fanboys on all sides will bicker....
ahhh, I didn't even realize it said "obsessed" and thought it said obese too.
Did you consider that the 5 million unique gamers might be worldwide, while the 1.5 million sold is for US only as reported by NPD?
There are also those that rent it, borrow it, buy it used and steal (pirate) it!
Well, you don't have to buy their products. You can go with Linux or Macs for your gaming needs.
Enjoy!
So I guess after all the hype train on the PS3 slim + price cut, that is with all it's guns out, it only managed to outsell the 360 a measly 150k. Respectable? Yes, but nothing like the 1000% we were hearing about. Overhype? Yes!
I don't think the ps3 re-image + price cut will have a significant effect, just like the 360 price cut.
Just read this quote (that by the way, he was asked and only answered) and contrast that with the hate here:
"When asked how they think they stack up against GT, Dan answered:
"Gran Turismo is a great game. It’s been a huge franchise, a huge part of many gamers kind of history of their gaming and I got a lot of respect for Kazunori Yamauchi and his whole team at Polyphony Digital. You know, GT5: Prologue isn’t a full game obviously, so it’s not far to ...
See I don't think it's a platform issue as much as it is a resource issue. What resources you say? Well, it is human resources.
Given enough time, people and talented developers, anyone can squeeze out marvelous visuals in a game. You could just freaken code the games in Assembly or something. That ought to give you a speed advantage.
In my opinion this is evident by the majority of the multiplatform games coming out for both PS3 and Xbox 360 usually ends up with th...
It's funny, people ask analysts what they think, then post it online. Other idiots then click on it, sometimes read it and post stupid comments on how analysts should shut up!!!
Funny thing!
Not everybody wants to experience the game on the PC. The PC experience is for the most part very different and I must admit, it is quite costly in the long run. My almost 3 year old Xbox 360 is still running strong, can't say that for my PC.
A decent graphics card now a days cost in the range of $150-200. Might as well buy an Xbox 360 Arcade in my opinion.
Blu-ray is impressive, but until the prices goes down to less to around $10, I ain't buying. For the price of a blu-ray disc, you can get practically unlimited movies on netflix + streaming to your Xbox 360/PC!
Personally, I only own one Blu-Ray movie, Enter the Dragon!!!
