If anything, game informers on average give higher scores than most other publications to game. I attribute that to being owned by GameStop and the desire to sell games....
Where are all the members of Sony Defense Force crying kotaku is biased towards the 360 now? I would like them to spin this one, because everytime Kotaku reports positive news about the 360 I keep hearing how kotaku is biased!
I'm also amazed at the stupidity and immaturity of chaosatom333's comment above, but even more amazed is that people agreed. Sigh.... there is so much of that on this site, it is kind of sad.
Judging from the reviews, the game just plain sucked. I don't think it deserved to be sold well anyhow. I will definetly avoid this developer in the future based on the comments along.

There is no doubt in my mind that a very large portion of the gaming public is very immature, but please go on proving my point!
Last year about this time, there was all doom and gloom for Sony not to mention their temporary price cut on the superior 60GB PS3 model. This year it is MS doom and gloom... oh, how fast the tide moves. Who knows, by Christmas time with GoW2 and the $200 Arcade bundle the tide might turn again... just to turn again in Sonys favor in an endless cycle.

There are multiple reasons for why this bundle is selling well:
1) BC and the fear of it's complete discontinuation
2) MGS4
3) 40GB Extra
Once the MGS4 sales has reached its saturation point, it would be much more interresting to see how the 360 and PS3 fares.
I would say the 360 is doing well considering it hasn't had any big releases for a while (excluding NG2, since it was never expected to be a system seller anyhow...

I think people are missing the point, it is not about the 360 vs. the PS3 in this case. It is about how a big game like MGS4 (bundle) in Japan is discounted a mere 1.5 months after release.
Why do people hear that the PS3 is in negative light today so I must compare that to the 360.... Ever consider that the author is just pointing out facts?

Wow Excalibur got 41 disagrees and zero agrees! I think the RROD problem is largely gone. I bought one last November and haven't had one issue and believe me I use it a lot.

Well it is certainly a God given gift and by that I mean her looks. I personally think it is unfortunate that she uses her looks and sexuality to make money, but hey who am I to complain if people are willing to pay for it.

I think a lot of the sales comes for three reasons:
1) Shortage of 40GB PS3
2) Backwards Compatibility
3) Cost of going from 40GB PS3 to 80GB PS3 and the MGS4 game is negligable, but you get DS3 + BC. That is a good value proposition if you are only considering the PS3.
4) This only applies to amazon.com, but in general amazon.com sells a lot of high end electronics due to no taxes as well. So things are a little inflated on costly i...

I completely agree and to add to that statement. Perhaps we should sue the carmakers, because they make the cars that people get injured in. We should then extend that to cordless phones, because that can influence a person to hit somebody in the head with it....

In my opinion there is no way a game like this can get a score below 8 even if you didn't like it. Personally, I think this is one of the best games out for the 360 out now.
I don't think Nintendo has a chance on the next generation with this mindset. It seems like, they hit one jackpot and then think they know what the consumers want....
I bought a Wii, but rarely every use it. Kind of regret supporting Nintendo.
I must agree with xiphos above and say that I felt unappreciated as a gamer on Nintendo hardware. They keep saying they have not abandoned the hardcore gamer, yet there are no games in sight. My Wii get's the least use and I have more games for it than the PS3. My 360 get's the most use.
These 6-month development time games targeting the casual market is what Nintendo cares about despite whatever they say. I think Nintendo lost my business unless they turn around....
