If you don't know already, then it's clearly not the game for you.
How is a galaxy bigger than an entire universe? I understand that you may like one more than another (even though NMS hasn't released). But, it stands to reason that 18 quintillion possible planets kinda beats our galaxy in terms of content ratios.
Point being that people were waiting for a NEW Street Fighter. This, imo, causing people to be more lenient to the incomplete SF5. Once again, I'm not defensing Capcom or the practice. I'm just trying to provide a possible explanation.
Can't wait for that one either.
Actually, I found the exact opposite. Without the huge entourage, I was able to move around, hide, and escape pretty easily. Sure, there were those times where I was out gunned, but I can't say it happened any more than when I had a squad. All in all, I was able to get more loot out solo than with a squad. (come to think of it, maybe my squad just sucked!? lol)
While I don't agree with this practice, let's not act like this is the first and only game to do this. The precedent was started well before SF5. Also, let's not act like every publisher has a game with the history of Street Fighter. The fact that SF4 came out over 7 years ago has a lot to do with the fact that people are content with what they have gotten. It was a unique situation for them, due to the pro scene, that they rushed it (NOT to say that I trust Capcom not to have rus...
Time mechanics can get like that. Hopefully they will be diverse enough to hold up for however long the game lasts. Overall, it DOES look pretty damn interesting.
Celebrate all T.O. style!?! lol
The way I see it, PSNow is Sony's ticket to diversifying and expanding their brand (much like MS and their expansion of Windows 10). Eventually, Sony wants to have PSNow available for tablets, set top boxes, and smart tv's. I don't think that necessarily points toward an all streaming future and, if so, it won't be until internet infrastructure catches up.
NMS is definitely a more niche title. In fact, it might be the direct antithesis of Uncharted. It's meant to be a slow, plodding exploration with limited story or narrative. The mystery and intrigue drive the over arching need to explore. Uncharted is heavily narrated and story driven and about as action filled as you would want. (which probably has broader appeal) Also, I have no doubt that Uncharted will sell more simply because of ti's established history.
That being said, ...
So, it basically failed to meet expectations. That makes more sense than just screaming "failure!" over and over despite the fact that even when the expansion came out it sold pretty big numbers. (not defending Destiny...haven't played in almost a year.)
I'm specifically talking about success in this particular endeavor.
So, all of the talk about reaching out to PC gamers and expanding their base will be for nothing...because most PC people won't be buying in.
Make a lot of sense to me. /s
Not if they want to be successful!!!
LOL
There will be a retail release (unless that changed) and there is offline support. (mentioned in the video)
Same. That was the surprise out of this new information...the ability to communicate with these alien races and form alliances for trading and protection.
From what i've heard, there is an over-arching lore that drives the discovery of a loose story. There are NPC's that provide nuggets of info that further advance that lore and narrative. (such as learning the languages piece by piece through the monoliths) In the end, though, this is more about kind of choosing your path through this almost limitless sandbox and less of a strictly story driven game.
It will be both...but to different people.
That tends to happen in stress tests. Servers are loaded/overloaded on purpose to see what they can and cannot. handle.
