I see your point. But, I would have to say that it is somewhat short sighted. In the short run, yes, MS will probably retain this lead. However, when does this gen end??? Does it end when the Wii HD arrives? What about the Xbox whatever??? Is that the official end? The playstation brand has ALWAYS had long legs. They have been able to sell effectively 2-3 years into the next generation using backward compatibility and the HUGE library of games from their exclusive catalog.

Most people who WANTED a 360 already have one. Market saturation is a product of supply and demand....otherwise there is now LESS demand for the same supply. MS challenge is now how do we increase or reinvigorate the demand for that same supply that is not moving as well as it used to!?!?!
It should be known...maybe not advertised...that ANY Blutooth headset is compatible with the PS3!!! Most people have them for their cellphones anyway. I personally like to keep the two separate...but that's just me. There are TONS of features that the consumers are STILL not aware of for the PS3...but now with the newer commercials they ARE starting to focus on some of the more important differences.
I have to echo Supaplaya and say it is a refreshing change from the status quo on NG4. That being said, I think that what you said about the exclusives is the best point made. That IS the only problem I had. So, either they did a quick fix server side within the first couple of days...or it wasn't as WIDESPREAD of a problem as previously stated. I didn't get to play it for about 5 days...so it is possible...either way...this is before the patch has been released.
