Certainly not. You just illustrated the point. A fanboy is a fanboy is a fanboy.
Fanboyism is being a hypocrite. So it's not surprising that, now that Sony has made a blatant MS-ish move to buy a timed exclusive, the Sony cult is cheering with vengeance. And it's also not surprising that xbots are now feeling the bitter and sour pinch.
But PS3 fans: you have a golden opportunity here to rise above the low-life xbots that you so admonish and stand upon the mountain of maturity. But instead you're pouring salt and rubbing it into the wound.
Just so...
Great name. Great pic. Great point.
@ Sony Rep - The point of the wii is not the peripherals - that's about the dumbest thing I've ever heard. All the wii gave us was a bigger casual market and less materials and focus on the games most of us actually care about. But keep on hating if you must.
This is motion sensing I can get behind, if it works and if it's reliable. This is the type of tech that can revolutionize the way we interact with our computers. Like the mou...
And the rest of you got a game that played like something from last gen.
Remember when the Sony crowd said graphics were overrated and gameplay was where it's at? Where's KZ's co-op? Where's KZ's stat tracking? Where's KZ's online community? Where's KZ's replay feature? Where's KZ's split-screen? So many questions. So many disappointing answers.
Personally I thought TLAD was the best GTA so far. The story was shorter, tighter, and somehow more relevant to me. And they've started getting the social aspects right: less dating, more riding in formation. The writing is top notch, as usual. And I like the new color scheme and grain filter.
Can't wait to see what GTA5 brings us. Hopefully a zombie mode. That'd be sick.
But Al Gore is not a well-intentioned messiah. He is no better than his supporters. He is a fraud, perpetrating an unconfirmed pseudo-science THEORY as fact and further building an unnecessary industry. The Green movement is no longer about the environment as much as it is about $$$.
Let's not forget someone can have an opinion/preference while not being a fanboy. Just because this guy prefers the 360 doesn't equal a flaming, extremist fanboy.
That said, I prefer the achievements because I've known them longer and I agree with some of this points. I like the fact that every achievement counts toward my overall score. I don't feel any great connection to the trophies and they certainly don't inspire me to dig deeper into the games I'm playing. But that's just ...
You hate ironic satire and comedy? How do you face the world every day?
As if the iPhone isn't enough of a douche tech (ironically I have one and can attest to its evil powers of corruption), now MS wants to add voice to it? So we'll have an army of douches with douchephones, only now instead of just watching them tap away on the screen, we'll have to hear every douchey thing they're doing?
Count me in.
When MSNBC runs an article on the reasons not to buy a Nintendo product, it doesn't scream objectivity.
Props to the Nintendo boys and girls for not flaming this article and treating it with a strange maturity that is virtually gone from this site.
But Sony will be announcing a new console for 2011. I saw it in a dream. And my dreams are always correct.
People seem to be misunderstanding the concept of the 10 year console. This doesn't mean Sony won't be moving on for ten years. It just means they'll continue to support the PS3, just like they did with PS2.
We're certainly entering the window for console announcements, so I wouldn't be surprised to see the hammer drop at any point.
Very impressive. I hope this is coming to consoles.
You hate what gaming's become? You hate that we game in HD with 5.1 surround and rumble technology and graphics that are steadily approaching photorealistic? You hate that we have access to servers that allow us to game online with our friends or download movies and HD content? You hate that we have DLC that renews the life of games that we otherwise would have little reason to replay? You hate that we're starting to get engines like Euphoria that redefine what we thought AI could do? You hat...
Uncharted 2 is certainly shaping up to look beautiful. But my problem with the first was with how it played. It was fun but not stellar. Conversely, while a lot of Assassins Creed was repetitive, the core gameplay of free-running and the fighting engine were so tight, so expansive and rewarding that I practically forgave all other failings. Kind of the opposite of my reaction to Uncharted, which was so loose and twitchy and clunky that I almost lost interest in finishing it entirely.

I guess that makes KZ2 last gen. I guess that makes Heavenly Sword last gen. I guess that makes Resistance last gen. I guess that makes MGS4 last gen (its gameplay is basically a streamlined version of Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory).
I don't believe any of that by the way. I'm just trying to illustrate a point.
Quote from Bathyj: "I'm an XB owner too. Its not my favourite console, but hey, I like it alot more than the Wii."
Let's examine this. Si...
It's not exactly a surprise. But I'm more surprised by the reactions on the forum. And some of the comparisons being made are totally absurd.
Just because Wada calls for a more open atmosphere doesn't mean we're going to get Call Of Duty: Dance Dance Remix. The more you guys sound off against this, the more xenophobic you sound yourselves.
New ideas are always a good thing.
Read the article. At less than 10 cents/gig, HOM will be cheaper than blu-ray.
GE has said themselves that this is geared more towards storage and archival purposes. Given that most devs still haven't maxed out DVD, no devs have harnessed the extra power of blu-ray, I don't know how necessary this tech is for gaming.
Go figure Morganfail would try to spin this into an anti-PS3 article. He's the like the annoying chick at the party who makes everything about her.
You don't need to be a journalist to recognize journalism, just like you don't need to know how to draw to be able to look at a sketch and say "That's pretty good."
And if you don't see what's wrong with HHG, then there might be no reasoning with you. He doesn't just take his article and turn it into a question. He writes baseless unfounded theories, seeking solely website traffic. He's not about the games, he's about himself and his own ego. And every time one of us cl...
Get ready for the banhammer, HHG. Or shape up and stop writing bait-tastic garbage.
