Uncharted was fun, but its graphics and sound were the best parts, not its gameplay. I never felt that Drake controlled particularly well and I've never gone back to replay it. inFamous is my hands-down favorite PS3 game so far.
I'm so tired of that guy.
First off, 9 times out of 10, Morganfell has no idea what he's talking about. But back on topic:
Yes, this looks amazing. Never thought a sandbox game could or would look this ridiculous, but it does. inFamous was one of my favorite exclusives so far for the system and this sequel looks to destroy its predecessor.
Beauty AND gameplay! Certainly a rarity. Cole vs. Nathan Drake...Drake goes down.
This just became my most anticipated game. Cannot wait to get my greasy hands on this. But, I hate the new Cole and his whiney little voice. What was wrong with the first Cole? Or if you gonna change him up this much, just make it a new character. Kind of lame.
But the game looks beyond epic. Go Sucker Punch, go!
Yawn
All I've seen from both Kinect and Move have been mostly casual games. So the question is, why would casual gamers spend so much money on something that - at this point - the Wii has proved it does for way cheaper?
Until/unless MS and Sony start thinking about motion control for hardcore gamers, neither one of these systems will do much good.
Last Guardian kind of is a sequel - a spiritual sequel to Shadow of the Colossus, which was kind of a spiritual sequel to Ico. I'm not complaining. I love Team Ico and can't wait to get my greasy mits on TLG.
Anyway. Just thought of that. My point is, you bring up a good point. Sequels, sequels, everywhere!
Real gamers only care about one thing: games. Not brands. Not sales. Not awards. Just games and the hours of fun we get from them. Having a preference is one thing. But blind loyalty is never healthy. That's what gave rise to the Nazis.
Not necessarily.
When cinema was in its infancy, right around the time D.W. Griffith and Eisenstein were showing the world what editing, close-ups, and a moving camera could do, suddenly sound appeared on the scene. What happened next arguably set cinematography back twenty years: the camera was put into a soundproof box which made it bigger, heavier and practically impossible to move.
Ask any cinematographer and they'll tell you that at the time, the add...
Dude, did you really just side with a corporation over a developer? That's retarded. Kojima and other developers should have the right and the freedom to make games however and for whomever they want. Just because you own a PS3 doesn't mean you own the devs. This fanboyism is out of control when gamers start caring more about the name on their console than the artists making the games for it.
Change your panties, your vagina's getting a little weepy.
RDR is better than those exclusives in every way (except graphics), and it runs in native 720p on 360. But not on PS3.
Cue the disagrees and excuses...
(I'll put this up front: this is a long reply.)
Let's just consider Red Dead Redemption - a multiplat that does more for pushing gaming forward than any other game I can think of. While the PS3 crowd might care solely for graphics, I'm looking at the gameplay and design. Sure, KZ2 and UC2 and GOW3 are beautiful, but they're fairly standard when it comes to gameplay and actual innovation.
Look at RDR and how large the world is. Now look at the ...
I understand why you only have 1 bubble. And I'm thankful.
You've got disagrees. Guess not everyone agrees with your opinion.
Wait. You honestly for any amount of time thought that MS would incorporate blu-ray into their remodel? Um...what? Really? Why? Who are you?
I'm so confused.
This looks epic.
@jidery
Not sure what kind of acid you were on during the PS2 era, but if this looks like a PS2 game to you, then you must be pretty disappointed with your PS3.
I have an Elite and I'm seriously thinking about getting this. It looks sweet and the revamped acoustics sounds (pun intended) very attractive. Will wait and see how it's received and how the guts check out.
Sony fanboys always bitch and moan how xbots swarm their news articles. But here we have a MS article completely run amok with narrow-minded haters. Some days I think N4G is owned and operated by Sony's PR department.
Whatever helps you sleep at night...
