Every time you guys use the "Halo Killer" moniker, whether you realize it or not, you're giving props to Halo as FPS king and, by extension, the 360 as a console platform, which you hate.

I think the trick is to combine kinect with the standard controller. There's a lot of potential in kinect if you augment the traditional controller rather than replace it.
The amount of contradictions in your post is hysterical. You aren't reserving judgement. You're clearly VERY judgmental of Kinect already. Which is fine. Just don't try and pass yourself off as some fence-sitting level-headed observer.
I should also add, for the record, I don't disagree with you. As of now, I'm not getting Kinect either.

They might only have two games to their name, but I've never known another dev who has done with two games what these savants have. This is truly inspired game design, storytelling, gameplay, immersion, art, sound, everything! All without ever really needing dialogue.
It blows my mind and I can't wait for TLG to tear up my PS3.
Both these games put GoW to shame. In fact, they put practically every game to shame. I could not be more excited about this collection.

It's grown too big for anyone (even Kojima) to keep track of without cliff notes. Scaling back the cutscenes and codecs will only help the franchise. It's been in need of an editor since MGS2.
I wasn't a big fan of PS3 at the beginning of this cycle because I didn't think they were supporting it very well. But many of their recent exclusives have forced me to reevaluate my opinion. Should I remain a stubborn fanboy?

GT5 will be awesome but it shouldn't be GOTY. Gow3 was fun, but again, shouldn't be game of the year. It's a glorified graphics demo. GOTY should be more encompassing: ME2 and RDR both come to mind.
I play my 360 more than my PS3, but I wouldn't call this 360's year. They just don't have the exclusives to back it up.

It's a racing sim and too much of a niche genre to really earn a GOTY title. I'm not saying it won't be the greatest racing sim ever. Just saying IMO it doesn't qualify for GOTY.
I agree about both ME2 and RDR. Either one would be a worthy holder of the 2010 crown. More so than anything else I've played all year. (GoW3 decidedly does NOT deserve GOTY - all it is is a pretty hack-n-slash)

It's a facelift, but not a "leaps and bounds" redesign. I'm not very far into the game, but so far I'm a little disappointed. It's not really a new, never-before-seen Halo. It's just more Halo.
I guess that's fine if you're a Halo fanatic, but my enthusiasm for this franchise seems to have lessened over the years.
