Short answer: yes.
Longer answer: yessssss. If ME2 had won, I'd be saying the same thing. They're both phenomenal. Just glad GOW3 didn't win. Because that, my friends, would have been a travesty.
I've never seen so many flip-floppers outside of a Republican Convention.
The 2 year cycle is fine by me, because in 2 years, Turn 10 managed to crank out a title that does give GT5 a run for its money. I own both and enjoy on a Fanatec wheel. Personally I don't care much if Turn 10 tweaked their courses to be more fun. After all, that's why I'm playing. For fun.
GT5 is the best sim around easily, but to shrug Forza off like it's Mario Kart or some arcade racer is ridiculous. The only reason GT fans hate Forza so much is because it&...
2.4 mil? That's it? Meh.
It's fun when you finally get into a race but I hate the menus. So cluttered and annoying. Say what you want about Forza but their interface is so streamlined. Also, I'm not seeing a huge difference between the look of GT5 and GTP. Seems like the exact same engine for the most part. But I'm still pretty early in the game. Only level 10.
The sound and physics are incredible. Again, no complaints about the racing itsel...
Why is it that forums and message boards seem to exclude the possibility of respectful discourse?
If you disagree with EA's decision to change the name, that's fine. If you don't find it offensive, that's fine. But if you can't even possibly see how it could be offensive to some, then you're an insane narcissist. As I have a several friends in Afghanistan, I would find any game that allows for someone to claim "Taliban Wins!" in poor taste. ...
Adding this functionality makes the 360 marginally more exciting for U-verse customers, that's all. I'm sure AT&T is hoping for a boost in Uverse subscriptions, but I doubt they'll see much.
Off topic: U-verse doesn't use DSL, it uses fiberoptic. It's not wildly accepted because most areas aren't wired for it yet. But I've used both and can tell you Comcast is definitely not > Uverse. At all.
For me, the fun comes from driving the perfect race, sticking to the line, hitting a perfect turn, passing on a narrow S-curve or hairpin. It does NOT come from a useless driver's test, which I'm happy that GT seems to have done away with.
I've been a driving game fanatic as long as I've been a gamer, and the sims go straight to my heart. Forza and GT are the only console racing games worth real money anymore. But this thread is very sad to me. It should be sp...
So just because I don't like the archaic bullshit that GT used to be about, I'm not allowed to enjoy the actual DRIVING? The physics, sound and graphics are second to none and I never said otherwise but suddenly you don't want me anywhere near your precious driving sim because I criticized an aspect that amounts to 2% of the overall experience. Seriously, you need to relax. Why are fanboys so afraid of a rational discussion? Oh right. Because they're not rational. They're ...
Sounds to me that he's clearly a GT fan, expressing some legit concerns about how the series has developed, and you guys are just eating him alive.
If it hadn't been for GT4 and it's ridiculous collision penalties, I would never have discovered Forza. Yes, there was a time when GT was too pretentious for itself, and I think any fan of the series can admit it's had its ups and downs. Licenses and driving tests - ugh. Just because it says simulator doesn't ...
It's so lame how the Sony camp falls back on graphics every time. By this reasoning, Michael Bay is a better filmmaker than the Coen brothers because he uses more CG and flashier colors.
And so little class.
And lol at the dude who just compared Marty O'Donnel to Zimmer. One of these two won an Oscar and has been nominated 8 times over. The other uses lame synth piano to make Halo sappy.
Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't Batgirl already in Arkham, as Oracle?
?
::shakes his head and walks away::
By this author's reasoning, the title should really read:
"Halo, Killzone, Mass Effect, Splinter Cell, Uncharted, God of War, Resistance, Gears of War, Call of Duty, Medal of Honor - basically every successful franchise and developer - is what's wrong with gaming. (And I haven't changed my tampon in three years.)"
Oh, I added that last part for good measure.
Meant to say GTPrologue. Sorry! But I doubt they're going to dumb down threir wheel support from Prologue to GT5.
And I did not know that about the cockpit cam. Thanks and have a bubble.
Nowhere in the game does the interior look this good. I hate the cockpit view. The lens they chose is too long and you don't get a good enough sense of the car around you. GT chose a wider lense which not only shows off more of the lavish interior, but gives you a greater sense of speed and depth for cornering.
GT5 clearly has better graphical fidelity than Forza, but they've also spent almost twice the amount of time working on it as Turn10. Both games are fun, espec...
Visuals aside, it's a standard hack-n-slash. Nothing new there. I wish I'd rented it instead of going for the special edition.
But the real question is why is it sticky?
