He didn't say the best, he said "one of the best". Even you agree it might be up there for best PSVR game. So while we all certainly have our own opinions, doesn't it seem like a game that is among the best of its own platform could also be counted among "one of" the best games of the generation? Especially if the person saying it is especially fond of platforming games, I don't see this as particularly outlandish.

I think if they said it was...

Even that isn't really a concern. Look at the Switch in regards to even current-gen titles; the Switch doesn't get hardly any "major" third party, cross-platform titles. Its lineup mostly consists of new games specifically for the system, last-gen ports, and indie titles. It gets some current gen games (like Divinity 2, TW3, Wolfenstein), but it doesn't get most of them. I can't see next gen being any more likely for ports, so given their current relative obscurity o...

That title is word-soup, and reads awkwardly. Even just adding a hyphen between "Included" and "Confirmed" would have helped make that more readable. Not even sure "confirmed" is required, though, as we will take it as granted - normally you only have to denote "rumor".

Patapon 2 Remastered Will Not Include Multiplayer.

GamePass is $120 per year. Sony recently dropped the price on PS Now to $59.99 a year. So Sony actually destroys the GP in a pure pricing face-off. Trial pricing for $1 is nice, but those only last for so long and can only be redeemed a certain number of times per account. And it is weird to consider those cheap prices. Plenty of those paying $1 will not convert to a 10 times increase in pricing - you can currently count me among them, lol. So while I'm sure that makes MS's MCU count ...

One of the bigger issues for me is the value proposition. I've stated this above, but an example is Horizon:ZD. You could get the physical or digital edition of that game, including The Frozen Wilds expansion, for $10 over the recent holiday sales. You can normally pick up a game like that, with its DLC, for $20-30 a year after its launch on any other platform.

Nintendo, on the other hand, sticks to its "evergreen" strategy. Old games like XBC2 still command $...

100% the issue here. They don't do discounts. They believe in their "evergreen" strategy, where all games basically retain their value no matter how long after release it is. Now, they're focusing on adding more content on top of that evergreen strategy, so to get everything for their games is going to be astronomically expensive.

3 years after XBC2, it and Torna are still full price. No GotY with base & expansion bundled. No drop on base game. Nothing...

"We tried. We were thinking about VR but, yeah, we’re not doing anything with VR. We got the VR dev kits but…"

So unless you are hanging your hat on someone making some kind of mod for it, I wouldn't let VR sway your decision. I was so hopeful they'd try to get it working with VR in some way - I love my Rift - but it was always a pipe dream at best.

Has anyone had a good reward they've gotten in recent memory? For me, there hasn't been.

Used to be, back in the day (end of Wii/DS perhaps), there were some good rewards - you could even get full games on occasion. You'd think they could wriggle some interesting options by offering up older, but great, 3DS games. Or maybe some free cheaper eShop titles, or at least a generic 10% off coupon or something. Given they are in at least as good of a position now as th...

I've never really heard anyone call the PS4 controller ugly...don't think I've really heard anyone call any controller ugly lol. I like the PS4 controller just fine aesthetically. To each one's own!

The problem is the One X can't truly be the Series X's counterpart. The big reasons are the huge gulf between storage speeds (5400 RPM laptop HDD with small SSD cache vs the NVME drive in the XSX), and the CPU (the old Jaguar cores will be woefully outpaced by the newer Ryzen cores).

The GPU would likely work fine in general TFLOP power (though Navi TFLOPs will be more performant than their older GCN counterparts), but the other things really make it so that any tit...

I mean, they advertised one thing and delivered another.

"When it was announced at BlizzCon 2018, Blizzard promised “a complete reimagining” of the classic RTS, with four hours of updated in-game cutscenes and rerecorded voice-overs."

"Revamped in-game cutscenes in the style shown during the game’s announcement, however, have been completely scrapped"

"There have also been some changes to Reforged’s visual impro...

"No one is forcing you"..."don't pay it. It's that simple." I don't think it is healthy to essentially say people shouldn't voice their concerns when they feel the pricing on things is unjust, and just accept it or ignore it. That's not how things change. If we did that with BF2, companies would still be pushing that MTX line even further than they had.

That said, in this case they are offering a service that people want, and they ar...

Little strange to see the cursor on the screen for the "Switch" announcement trailer - I think it is poor form to show off another platform in platform specific videos.

Seems like an interesting idea in theory, but not particularly great in execution. It effectively turns this into a worse version of those short-lived gaming exercise gimmicks from a few years back, where you would have to peddle an exercise bike or the screen would shut off.

I would actually prefer that to this execution, as many things (like aiming) seem unwieldy & awkward. So while it makes you exercise, those finicky controls also happen to make the gameplay worse. ...

If your intent was never to buy a Sony console, then this question was not really aimed at you. Can't have changed your intent if you never intended to buy it in the first place - I don't think anyone would think there was ever a chance that Sony games going to PC would all of a sudden make you want to buy a PS5 lol.

Objectively all mobile games suck? All of them? And that's objective? Freemium games are 99.9% garbage, you've got that right. But if you look around, you can find some good premium games on mobile. I'm not saying they are going to rival your average high end console/PC games, but there are definitely some good ones out there. They are not all unilaterally bad.

$279, if it can stay at that price point, is a starting to get into at least decent territory. I bought my GTX 1080 May 2017 for $399. It's taken over 2.5 years, but the 2060 gets in the ballpark in general performance (though with 2gb less VRAM); the cost for RTX has made those 10 series GTX cards hold up much better than they should have over the years, and at way too comparable pricing. GPUs have stagnated quite a lot the last few years.

If the RTX tech had proved it...

They could do a lot of things. They could split the screen in half, and let you choose to have them be displayed either next to each other, or turn the console sideways and have them emulate the top/bottom screen like the 3DS.

You could also have the option to hide one of the displays, assuming one of them wasn't necessary. A lot of games ended up not really using the second screen for more than like a map/inventory/etc typed use case. They could perhaps even let you ta...

I really wanted them to have some kind of cartridge/USB C adapter that would allow you to slot your old 3DS/DS carts into the Switch and then just have the console emulate them. Given they've done very, very little with the older handheld titles, they could make a decent amount (and earn some goodwill) for just selling that bit of hardware. And giving you a way to play your existing games, even if just "as is", shouldn't hurt their port sales much if they opt for more. Peopl...

It does look great, but it feels both a bit shallow and a bit confusing. There are a million free gifts and currencies and materials that I can't seem to keep them all straight. And all I've done for the bit I've played is tap on the quest header, have it auto-navigate me to the quest, and then I mash buttons to kill stuff. I don't feel like the attacks are too varied in function, mostly just use what isn't on cooldown.

Still got it installed, will like...
