For me this comes right after Death Stranding on the most anticipated game list (Death Stranding might be my most anticipated game of all time). Sucker Punch is one of my favorite game dev-teams in the industry and Infamous is one of my favorite franchises so naturally I'm insanely hyped for their next game. The Ghost of Tsushima trailer was so good that it only raised my anticipation. Another game I'm really looking forward to seeing more of is Shadows die twice. Since we're gett...
I think that Ghost of Tsushima will be a Q1-Q2 game next year. By march next year it'll be 5 years since the launch of Infamous: Second Son.
Would be great if they could increase the budget for P6 due to the success of P5. I loved P5 but it would benefit from a little more fleshed out locations and a higher variety of activities.
Your taste in video games is subjective but that doesn't mean that the quality of a game can be accurately judged on a purely subjective level. That's why an understanding of video game design is important to write a competent review.
Correct me if I'm wrong but the support for external HDDs has been there for quite some time now. I haven't tested it myself yet but I'm pretty sure it works fine.
I also heavily disagree about the controller paragraph. The PS4 controller is one of the best stock controllers of any console. It still has room for improvement but to say that Nintendo always had better controllers than Sony is just insane to me.
My most wanted features for PS5:

I absolutely loved FFXV yet I pretty much agree with what you've said. It's kinda tragic because what is there has been great for me even though it's very clear that they had to cut a lot of corners to get there. Makes you think what this game could've potentially been.
Cutting stuff and making compromises is a standard practice in every ambitious, creative endevour but when it gets to the point where it's so blatantly obvious, it's definitely gone ...
You left out a bunch of games for Sony's press conference:
- The Last of Us: Part 2 is already confirmed for E3 2018 (probably a gameplay demo).
- Death Stranding will probably have a gameplay reveal as well.
- Ghost of Tsushima will most likely be at the press conference. I think a lot of people are underestimating how far along this game is in development. Remember that Infamous: Second Son came out in march 2014.
- From Software's game ...
Great list. Good to see The Darkness get some credit. It's one of my favorite franchises of last gen. Heavenly Sword was great as well. I still hope that Sony brings it back at some point even though it's unlikely. I always wanted to play Eternal Sonata but due to having a huge backlog fr the most part of the generation I never actually managed to have enough time for it.
I'd definitely like to give a shoutout to Folklore as well. It was a really unique game and...
For the future to avoid youtube spoiling a game I'd recommend deleting your watching history on youtube before the game launches. I deleted anything God of War related and I'm good so far.
Just because God of War is an amazing game doesn't mean that every other game should emulate it's formula. Let's not forget that Nintendo has produced 2 titles last year that stand side by side with God of War as the most critically acclaimed games of this generation. There are a lot of ways to achieve greatness that's what makes it interesting.
Too bad it takes so long to get it into a playable state. My day one fat PS3 just got it's 3rd YLOD. Getting tired of needing to repair it all the time. I was planning to replay all the old GoW games. Would've been nice to have a working emulator now. Hopefully the PS5 will be backwards compatible.
If I had to bet I'd bet against it looking like the reveal trailer even on high end PC specs but there is no chance in hell that it'll look like that on consoles.
"If you were high up like them and a gamer at heart you'd be making sure the first party line up among other things are in tip top shape."
I don't know man. Maybe he doesn't have time to take care of those things because he's playing games all the time. /jk
I wouldn't trust Konami to make a proper Castlevania reboot worthy of the quality it once had. And while wouldn't say that Tomb Raider ever was on the same level of quality, I didn't really like what Crystal Dynamics did with the reboot so it's hard to trust them with a Sould Reaver reboot. Especially because the writing in the Tomb Raider reboot is horrible and a Soul Reaver reboot needs a good story and well written characters.
Correction: It's Barlog not Barlow.
Reply: I think it's quite possible that Jaffe ends up at the helm of the next God of War. Cory Barlog already stated that he'd like to work on a new IP after God of War so the job is up for grabs. As far as I know Sony Santa Monica initially wanted him to direct this game but he was busy with Drawn to Death at the time. The studio behind Drawn to Death ("The Bartlet Jones Supernatural Detective Agency") has just been...
I agree. Egyptian would be the next best choice after norse in my opinion.
Haha. Monotheistic religions would be pretty lame because there would only be one God to kill. Can you imagine what the reaction would be if they went with the islamic myths?
@0B1Biker: Do you realise that the download speed varies depending on your bandwidth? Your 5 or 10 minutes patch will take me 2 hours and 30 minutes in the best case scenario.
I guess it'll be loosely based on the north myths just as the other games were loosely based on the greek myths. The old games, while definitely taking some liberties with the mythology, kept the key parts of the family tree intact. Kratos becoming odin would just be a step too far in my opinion.
To be fair I was very sceptical with the next GoW being set in another myth initially. After seeing the game announcement I changed my mind. So who knows maybe SSM could even ...
Well that's nothing new. I guess they might be back to annualisation. I only ever played the first AC. I loved the game for the first couple of hours but by the time I've finished it I hated it because it was pretty much a repetition of the first couple of hours over and over without adding enough new and interesting things. I was willing to give AC2 a chance because many people told me that it was a much better game than AC1 but by the time I was considering getting it, Ubisoft alrea...
