It's probably not tha, simply because exclusive DLC content is *usually* a one time key which is used to download the content (trying to fight the used game market along the way).
It *was* a massive success this generation, when competition wasn't up to par.
But things are changing now, and we already see that live gold subscriber numbers don't increase although the number of console owner keeps on growing. If on the next generation Sony turns their online component up a notch, and with steambox lurking in the background - MS will not be able to convince potential customer why only they charge for online.
They might make some money from the peop...
It's getting the same review scores as the two previous games and coming from the same studio - a studio which is now simply more experienced. So why the surprise?
Yeah, that was bad AI even for zombie-AI: Can't see you with direct flashlight in their faces (makes sense story-wise I guess), can't hear you when you shoot at them or throw things around, and even when they're "alert" and jump towards you it seems that they do nothing and just turn around to another distraction...
It's as if walking crouched puts you in invisible mode. I hope they were just flashing out the engine and it's not how the zombie A...
"Uncharted 1 used maybe 30 percent efficiency. Uncharted 2 we were finally using 100 percent, but it wasn't as efficient as it could be"
So Uncharted 2 was 100% efficient, yet not efficient enough? A game could be more than 100% efficient now? Just shows how ridiculous all these marketing hype messages are that are mostly coming from marketers and designers. I bet the programmers are LOLing now.
Well, considering Rain looks like the journey of 2013, maybe PS3 gamers *SHOULD* be talking about it instead of unnamed sequels, vaporware, and games with no 2013 release date... i'm pretty excited from it, but it doesn't take anything from the fact that some of the games on this list are also extremely promising: State of Decay looks amazing - like a DayZ on Cryengine 3. And Lococycle is coming from the developers of Ms Spolsion Man - and with their great track record it's an ea...
" Gamers are not in the habit of paying an on-going subscription fee for hardware. Software/services, sure. Hardware that they can resell? No. "
Not to take of the argument, but software (games) is something that gamers are able to resell as well.
Yeah, we've been there already

Don't argue kids. Both companies made formulatic trope infested JRPGs and nothing more.
You're basically grouping "past, present, future" into tropes, but we also have everything in between (alternative past = bioshock, cyberpunk future = dues ex, military tech future = ghost recon, post-apocalyptic future = fallout, wild-west future = borderlands, space opera = halo, spanning multiple timelines = black ops... and the list goes)
Well, it definitely won't win as other game engines in this list do much more impressive stuff technologically wise (Halo 4 and AC3 especially), but it did make a big technological leap with regards to the lighting engine - all while keeping the 60FPS target render.
How many other shooters managed to pull 60FPS on consoles this gen? I recall only Rage, which was also very impressive but had to make other sacrifices.
Please recall that this award is given by indust...
Well, seeing how Skyrim is still at the top of the chart, while last years COD game is no longer here - it makes me more optimistic about how people want other games in the long term.
COD games sell, but it doesn't mean other games can't sell as well or even for a longer period.
Okami, Kameo, Fable, Darksiders
"moan about directx that holds PC games back tenfold"
Really? No DirectX on Linux, Mac, Ipad etc. Please enlighten us in how much bewtter the graphics on these platforms look because there's no DirectX to hold them back.
Bungie's Destiny
Kreia is missing
Destiny.
That is all
"Sneaking into a base without touching anyone, Not making a noice, Not setting off any alarms, Using only the shadows" is something you can do in some of the levels in Conviction as well
Logged in today just to agree with you :)
This heasline makes no sense: Crysis it not plagued with hackers because the game isn't out yet.
The beta is plagued with hackers, but isn't this one of the purposes of launching a beta in the first place? Finding the exploits, hacks and glitches which people try to abuse - and mitigate them in time for the actual game release?
