Finally. It took 3 pages until someone finally mentioned what should have been the PS3's best exclusive. Let's hope we see it - one one platform or another
What's the problem with not being innovative? You don't innovation if your product is good, and borrowing the Xbox controller ergonomics as well as the WiiU gamepad screen sounds like a very good.
The Wiimote was innovative. The Kinect was innovative. The sixaxis was innovative. Does anyone care? I rather have a good controller than an innovative one that doesn't work
Perhaps the version of TF2 on consoles is from five years ago, but MNC (although 3rd person) is also on consoles and offers something similar, as well as many other game modes for popular games which offer pretty similar core functionality to classic TF2.
And after all, even the new co-op TF2 mode is just another take on the Gears of War horde mode available in countless other games...
The same applies for Quake Live alternatives such from UT to Nexuiz (in case you...
@Knight_Crawler
You're digging to much into this... obviously you're right and on the surface this makes exactly as much sense as someone dissing Resistance and Ratchet and still planning to buy Insomniac's Fuse for the 360 (meaning no sense at all).
But there is an obvious logic behind this - INFANTRY is just stating his brand loyalty here:
- I am already buying a PS4 without knowing what it's gonna be or when it's released = Sony good.
- I...
"Beyond Bordarlands and BiA"!? These are basically their two titles, and both have been good.
They didn't really make anything beyond these series (2 borderlands and 1 BiA) this gen because DNF wasn't their project in the first place and Aliens was outsourced to timegate.
Still, 3 titles with good reviews and good sales (both sales and reviews improved from title to title) is a good output for an independent studio. Borderlands 2 sold over 6 million ...
It's not a Microsoft Policy, it's a common policy for all platform holders and the notion is that "you can release earlier on other platforms, as long as you provide exclusive content on our platform when the game is released late".
Check out every late port on any console this gen and you will see they always had something extra - be it a well implemented feature or just an half-assed attempt to follow compliance.
So Rayman can release now...
I think that the real question is when was the last game people actually cared about released. Mine was GOW2 which gives the PS2 an impressive 7 years run, but the PS3 will probably surpass that since it's entering the 7th years now and there are still plenty of games in the horizon (Not to mention the X360 which is already entering the 8th year and I still buy games for it).
And I wouldn't call them kings either. Not because apple doesn't even make games, but because 500M devices still doesn't mean people actually spend money on games there (especially since most of the stuff is free). In dollar terms (meaning how much money was actually spend on gameS), the entire mobile gaming market is a small blip on the radar - probably still less than 10% of the overall market.
Hell, by the same logic one can call Nokia the king of games: They s...

"How's Microsoft's tablets, and Phone etc part of their gaming division?"
You're talking business and numbers and you're not even aware that tablets, phones AND the Xbox are all part of the "Entertainment and Devices division". There is no separate "gaming division" - do your research next time.
" Actually you're completely wrong son. The PS3 has outsold the PS2 because from fiscal ...
What is your definition of a AAA game? Maybe you are mixing up AAA and retail?
Tech Demos? We already have those: Watchdogs, UE4, Agni's Philosophy, the new Witcher trailer.
We already know what the ballpark is going to be - now give us the official announcement already!
@Cupid_Viper_3
You forgot the ~500M Windows operated PCs, tables, and phones Microsoft managed to push in the same timeframe.
Microsoft is first and foremost a software company, so comparing it to a hardware company while ignoring their bread & butter business is pretty pointless I believe: each company have a different strategy and business focus (check out the performance to see how each is doing).
Moreover, I was pretty surprised that your numb...
This site is just copying info pasted in neogaf.
But it's not just a matter of size: Oblivion was actually about twice as big as Skyrim but thanks to better world design Skyrim felt like an actually bigger experience.
The question is how does it compare to The Witcher 2 in terms of not only size but content: the game clearly is one of the best RPGs out there and this sets a very high bar for the next game.
The managed to push what I consider perhaps the best looking 3rd person game both on the PC (with the right rig) and on the console.
And if they managed to push the boundary so much this gen (Witcher 2 being their first attempt on the consoles), imagine what they can pull out of the next...
Not only they mixed up games (a few have been fixed), but they also mix actual gameplay, pre-rendered cutscens, and marketing supersampled images. This doesn't make for an actual valid comparison and renders this whole effort as pointless.
These content shortcuts used to be available in past generation games simply by introducing cheats (I still remember some of the Tony Hawk ones).
The only change now is that people who wish to cheat their way to the unlocked content without effort have to pay, and people who take the ordinary unlock route do not. Sounds fair.

But I CAN tell how the AI played out *in this specific video*. Unlike the clickers, we do have eyes and can see how they react to everything the player does.
Did any of the hand-on reviews praise the fungi AI? Did they describe how intimidating they can be? I didn't see anything positive about them, which is a cause for concern IMO.
Other than that, your excuses for the bad AI are really terrible:
1) I mentioned myself that this arg...
It's nice that you guys try to find excuses for what he wrote, but then why should he switch context from 30% efficient in Uncharted 1 to 100% not-efficient in Uncharted 2?
If you read what he wrote, the context is clearly 100% efficicent, but lets assume he made a mistake: does this mean that the "100% not efficient" is better than "30% efficient" or vice-versa? Any why the sugged change? These are two different metrics.
My point still stands:...
Why isn't this website reported? It's clearly a misleading headline since a list of 10 games is promised but only Fallout is listed there.
