Yeah, I'm really glad Kaz in charge. It seems like a complete 180 from the PS3 which was promoted as an entertainment hub with heavy emphasis on bluray movies.
Together with Peter Moore leaving MS, it's as if they switched sides: the X360 was marketed as a gaming machine VS the PS3 entertainment hub, and now we see things completely turned around.

What they mean by "kill sony" is actually a new feature: You can tell your console via Kinect "Xbox, kill Sony", and if it finds any Sony TVs, recievers or other devices connected to the HDMI-IN, the Xbox will hack into them (using the power of the cloud) and overheat them until they explode. the RROD last gen was simply a contained lab experiment before they release the real thing.

The thing I loved most about Team Meat Edmund's answer is how things come around. He said:
"Seven years ago I hooked one of my PCs up to my TV and I never looked back, so the media PC that Microsoft seems to be pushing isn't something that excites me in the slightest."

And I just realized that I too hooked up a PC to my TV about seven years back, and it serves me for all my media needs. The funny part? It's basically stripped down to running only...

PS3 was not supposed to trump the 360 in power - it was weaker from day one and only the sheep fanboys thought otherwise because the bought into "power of the cell" marketing hype, which was basically covering up for one of the weak points of the architecture.

Microsoft can probably do that same this time around, going for stuff like "power of the move data engine" or "super fast ESRAM", or perhaps pursue the "5 billion transistors marketing...

Actually, after things like the RC Car or goggles in the special edition of COD, this doesn't really look like a step up.
Not to mention the Ultimate Loot Chest Edition of Borderlands 2 which I am so sorry I missed: Thing was 150$ but went out of stock in a sneeze, and now retails for around 300$.

Actually... I suddenly noticed how Crysis 1 WITH MODs suddenly doesn't even look appealing anymore (This is after just recently playing Crysis 3 and Metro Last Light). Many years have passed since 2007 I guess.

Some texture work and foliage stuff still looks neat, but after getting used to newer game engines with proper lighting models Crysis 1 suddenly looks very bland. Especially the interior scenes, but outside scenes also look to sterile.

Half of the games there don't even deserve a mention. I mean, common: Lost Planet 3 and Wolfenstein New Order? Based on what developer track record exactly!?
Not to mention, some of the games in the list are already released and we know what they're like: Tomb Raider was good but in a Year where Bioshock Infinite exists it has no chance. And don't even get me started with GOW Ascension? What's such an average game even doing in a GOTY list? Perhaps they confused it wit...

The PS4 architecture is the complete opposite of the PS3: Much more standard, much better developers tools and more powerful than the competition. So I wouldn't worry about it.

The PS3 main bottleneck was the available memory, and since Bethesda didn't want to compromise their vision on other platforms because of that, the PS3 had to lag behind. Luckily, with 8GB of extremely wide bandwith GDDR5 - the PS4 will be a beast for open world games. If anything, this time ar...

" I don’t want to be bothered with a share button, I just want to play games."

Actually, ff that's what he cares about then the WiiU is probably not the best candidate in the first place. Most 3rd party publishers completely ignore it already, and diving into the next gen the trend isn't very likely to change for the better.

Probably the worst 3 choices anyone could pick
The Last Guardian is actually a game Sony shouldn't talk about until it's officially ready: I originally purchased the PS3 because of how much I loved Ico and SOTC, and almost 7 years later there's still no release date. Announcing that it's switching development to PS4 is a really bad idea since it basically means we can't count on them.

Demon’s Souls 2 - Well, perhaps if the core team from Form softw...

Can't stress enough how important bonus point 4#. Until Kinect is integrated with a proper controller, it will be useless for most types of gaming. Supplement, not replacement.

As for the main points, last gen they pretty much fulfilled 1-3, whereas bluray was left out because they released before it was even available. This time around bluray is pretty much guaranteed as it's a ~7 years old tech now.

What I'll add on top of that is cheap tools fo...

At first I thought this is just a dumb article by a dumb writer who is actually comparing lineups for two consoles, one of which is not even announced and has no confirmed games.
But then I entered the article and realized that it's just a link-farm spam scheme: every second sentence is a link to another article, trying not only to click bait but also to increase search engine rankings using verbal diarrhea that is just a coverup for all the internal links. These kinds of "ar...

Makes sense. The last time COD engine switched generations it also blew everyone away. Going from last-gen consoles to an HD 60FPS smooth gameplay when COD2 released when the Xbox 360 launched was an amazing experience. Even coming from the PC the game managed to impress with it's art direction and well scripted scenes.

Too bad COD only saw incremental improvements since then, but it's not as if the console hardware changed in the past 7 years... Now they finally have...

@MrBeatdown,

You're making two biased assumptions here to manipulate the data towards your favorite:

1) For some reason, you decide to ignore third party publisher exclusive games for each platform in order to decide which console has a better selection of games.
The real kicker? This is EXACTLY what this article is about, and exactly the point AllWrong raised himself. Quote:
"Third party exclusives have helped the 360 a lot this gen ...
