Does anyone care?
Tecmo alienated the Ninja Gaiden fans the moment they gave up on Itagaki. NG3 is the result of Team Ninja working without the people who were the heart of Ninja Gaiden.
@GribbleGrunger
The only kind of person dealing with photography thinking that this picture is any good, is the kind of person who's taking photos with an old 3MP phone camera and doesn't even know how to use the simple auto focus. That picture has burned whites, crushed blacks, hugh loss of detail and a very low definition range.
Do you even know what a photo histogram is? Try loading the pictures in any simple photo editor and you will see how the PS3 one is...
The game did get a 2 year development window, and most of EALA studio is actually rebranded as a bioware studios working on C&C.
The ship image on the PS3 with burnt light is probably just a rendering bug, not something that is actually consistent in the engine or otherwise we would have seen it in other pictures as well.
"Horror" and "scary" are two different terms. Many games can offer scare moments without resorting to actual horror, and horror games can be effective even without resorting to scare tactics (for example: Sanitarium).
2 western games entered the Japanese charts in the same week (Borderlands and Forza). Pretty decent.
At the current rate, PS3 is about halfway of where the PS1 was back in the days, so I wouldn't count on this. Kewer is simply another dummy user opened today by the same troll.
And unlike last gen, both MS and Nintendo don't have any reason to cut of their current gen: each unit sold is very porfitable and can remain profitable even after serious price cuts.
Excellent first review. Between this and Forza Horizon, 2012 pretty much delivered on open world racing games. One of the best years for the genre
Xbox 360 automatically upscales all supported original Xbox games:

It should be a no-brainer feature IMO, as it works much better than the external upscale on the TV (see the images in the link). It gives another reason to upgrade because it means that not only you can play your back-catalog, but it will also look better.
Xbox downloaded games are not installed. They are plain executable so no install is required.
Will they bring back Itagaki to design the port and remove the horrible QTEs?
No? then don't bother.
You mean Current Gen HD? It's being going on for about 7 years now...
Technically the WiiU is a next gen console compared to the Wii, only that the Wii itself is a last gen console (basically the same architecture as the GC). It seems that Nintendo's new approach is releasing a very powerful console each cycle, but only towards the end of the cycle (or after the next one already started, in the case of the original Wii).
@kikizoo,
And you base your invalid comparisons on what? I actually have all these games and compared them on a technical level. As I mentioned countless times: Halo Reach is graphically superior to Killzone 3, what makes you think that Halo 4 isn't better. Here, somebody even PMed asking me about this, so I'll just copy-paste the reasons here:
"Halo Reach has better looking 3D models, better textures (both metallic and skin), better alpha effect...
@insomnium2
If you find these photos last gen you must have a very high end PC with very actual few games to utilize it. I would have even believed you if you didn't bring Killzone 3 to the argument.
Have you actually compared direct feed and non-bullshots images from Killzone 3? As I said, Halo Reach already surpassed it on a technical level. What makes you think that 2 years later the difference won't be bigger?
I guess there's ...
Your claim that "Over 2 years after Halo 3's release, it was still the most played game on Xbox " is wrong, because it wasn't *still* the most played: this implies that it stayed there all the time, where in fact it dropped over time, and then when ODST released it bounced back to the top for a while simply because the multiplayer component of ODST was basically a Halo 3 disc.
Listen tentonsoftube, it's not cool to troll PS3 owners for mandatory installations and longer load times. We don't even know if Assassins creed will have these issues.
@Army_of_Darkness
I don't find Killzone 3 even comparable to Halo Reach level graphics. It does some things right, but lacks in many other area: It has amazing particle effects and some of the best character animations for an FPS, and the art direction is very good. The forward renders makes the lighting also look very good.
But on the other hand it has no HDR at all results in limited color range, many textures are blurry, small framebuffer for explosions and visual effec...
@BigStef71,
While I agree that comparing 3rd person shooters and 1st person shooters is not the easiest thing to do, Killzone 3 is strill trailing graphically behind Halo Reach, not to mention how Halo 4 currently looks from first impressions.
UC3 and TLOU can be compared to third person shooters such as Gears of War. And while UC3 sits at about the same level as Gears 3 (both have their ups and down), TLOU is already looking more impressive than both - which...
Microsoft didn't buy Primesense. They just licensed some of the tech.
And The tech isn't the camera - The Kinect isn't a camera. It's a depth sensor+projector which makes it a completely different thing which has nothing to do with the eyetoy or any previous commercial tech.
"He who goes out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with him "
Is that what you meant?
