Every generation is represented when a new console or handheld is brought in. It doesn't matter whether the graphics look incredibly different, what games are on it, or if a console/handheld has "x" amount of memory on it. If I had a console released in 2006, then it would be in the seventh generation. If I release one in 2013, then it would be in the new generation (which is the 8th).

You want actual proof? Look at this link. Don't believe in Wikipedia? You...

Four hundred sounds good to me. The Wii U was worth the three hundred, so I wouldn't mind an extra hundred for the PS4. This new generation sounds very affordable.

At almost seven hundred thousand units sold, I would say it might make the new quota by the end of the year. Thing is, though, is that it's just average at best. Reviewing it on N4G, I gave it a six out of ten. It's not a bad score, but as a fan of the original Devil May Cry series, I say DmC is okay at best.

From Ben Parfitt: "It’s potentially a sad end to a tale brought about very much by the fans themselves. Anyone who played Devil May Cry 4 must surely of see...

I agree with you. The Kinect is its own poison. I've said it once and I'll say it again, the Kinect sucks. The only thing that works are those dancing games and Fruit Ninja. Every other game (which in particular the ones from 2012) fail miserably because the Kinect cannot detect movements well and the controls are just awful. Your example of showing Joe playing these Kinect games ring true to any potential problems we encounter.

@edonus You say that Joe was playing th...

Role-playing games from Japan are far from, what you describe as "Sh!t". Their art style isn't terrible either. Square Enix is a fantastic developer. They have just lost their way with pushing Final Fantasy XIII too much and pushing back other projects people want to see. They don't have to sell worldwide to be successful. They just need a well done, well advertised game to bring them back from the trenches.

It was a stupid comment from him anyway. To claim that a character is racist is racism in itself. The reason why is because Mike Sacco was claiming that Tina was using language that only African Americans use and blatantly replies to Anthony that Tina is racist.

That is completely untrue. I know many people who use those slang terms and are not African American. Tiny Tina is not racist and Anthony Burch doesn't need to change her just to appease a few shortsighted gamers....

Good on Jaffe to speak his mind to someone who obviously hates video games. Erin Burnett is an embarrassment to news media, as are many other so-called news correspondents. This whole thing of blaming video games for incidents of violence has gone on long enough and it's about time we have people speaking up about it. As a matter of fact, maybe it's time to put those who blame video games for violence Under the Knife and see how well their case holds up. Excuse me, while I go get some...

That was just pure epicness. Absolutely perfect in capturing both the good times of Kratos' life to the worst times. That short video was amazing.

True that sales were very good for Kinect. The games, however, did not live up to performance once many people actually played it. It's not just critics who lambasted the Kinect games. I have talked to many gamers and have experience with the Kinect myself. Many are sick of it.

As soon as people bought certain games or the Kinect brand new, Microsoft made a profit. That is the up side and would result in it being a good year for profit, but performance of the Kinect and i...

I agree. That one article took it out of proportion. Again, many people still love JRPGs, including many of them that came out from the passed few years. They just don't get as much exposure as we would like (both from publishers and critics). In that sense, Ni No Kuni has helped bring that spotlight back to JRPGs and away from the mainstream stuff we are over saturated with. So long as we support good games, they will get their time to be recognized.

While Japanese RPGs don't spend a lot of time in the limelight, it's very nice to see them getting more steam. As for Ni No Kuni, I can't wait to play it. My friends keep on raving about it and the glowing reviews add more anticipation. As for what this guy is saying, I think he is mistakenly taking gamers' comments as making it seem like Ni No Kuni is the only good JRPG out there.

I have to disagree. I know many gamers that love plenty of JRPGS that have come...

The year of 2012 was not a good year for the Kinect. Nearly every game that relied on the Kinect for controls failed miserably. Dragonball Z Kinect, Kinect Star Wars, Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor, and Fable: The Journey were all failures last year. After Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor, many critics and gamers called it quits on the Kinect. I don't know what Microsoft will be planning next, but they have to do one of two things with the Kinect: 1) Fix up the Kinect so that it actually works ...

Just another lame article depicting what someone "believes" are the true problems to the Wii U.

1. The Gimmick Isn't Relatable This Time: I don't know about you, but my experience with the Wii Remote was good. The Game Pad is even cooler considering that I can have four other friends join in on certain games and even add more multiplayer potential. It's not hard to understand. Speaking of gimmicks, how's the Kinect doing by the way? Oh, wait...

Yeah, unfortunately, Final Fantasy XIII was a bust. If I had to name one game that I regret buying, it would be this game. The look and atmosphere scream Final Fantasy, but the story, characters, and gameplay don't. I really wish that Square Enix would have dropped XIII altogether after the sequel, but now we have Lightning Returns coming out. I would much rather see another Nier, Kingdom Hearts 3, or Final Fantasy Versus XIII. Any of those over another installment to the very disappointi...

The system has only been out for a few months. For crying out loud, gamers who decry the Wii U as a flop haven't even given it a chance. It's like when people thought that when Obama took office that he would magically fix the economy in four years.

Reality check: life doesn't work like that! Obama nor anyone else couldn't fix the economy in that kind of time span as much as the Wii U couldn't be getting numerous supposed core games in three months that pe...

I'm getting a sense of deja vu here. Oh, wait, that's right. Every United States politician who thinks their shortsighted opinion (or lack thereof) actually warrants merit is coming out of the woodwork to point the finger at video games being the blame for people shooting each other. Yeah, I'm not buying it. Funny how most of the opposition to video games, but those same individuals who support guns turn out to be old, out of touch Republicans. Not to say all of them are like that...

Bubble up for you, DragonKnight. Well said, indeed. DmC is just average at best, but is no where near the original titles. The characters in DmC were dull and boring, the story was shoddy with plot holes, and the writing was juvenile. Original Dante is way more appealing. Gameplay was solid, but that only goes so far to try to appeal to original Devil May Cry fans.

And about Ninja Theory's other games? Haven't played Enslaved, but Heavenly Sword barely made a mark due...

Can't wait. These next two months are going to be crazy. I got Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time, Aliens: Colonial Marines, Bioshock Infinite, Sim City, Starcraft II: Heart of the Swarm, Tomb Raider, and South Park: The Stick of Truth all reserved. After that, The Last of Us, Injustice Gods Among Us, and Rainbow Six Patriots (if it comes out this year).

Not going to lie, that is one awesome tribute cover. Skyward Sword was one of the best games from 2011. It's a shame Darksiders hasn't been picked up yet. I hope both the series and Vigil find a good home.

Who in their right mind would buy a smashed console that is basically a glorified paper weight for fifteen grand? Just because this guy claims it's "art"? No, just no.
