Ha, ha. Nice. Those were some great secrets and easter eggs.
Warning: major sarcasm inbound. Yeah, because we all remember that one trailer with Lara in the wilderness with her washing off in rainwater and without her top on. Oh, that's right, it never happened! Sarcasm has ended.
What the hell is this guy on about? "Tomb Raider Continues to Prove That Sex Sells in Gaming"? Seriously, guy, what are you smoking?
"What seems to be a big selling point for the game, still, though, is that Lara Croft is a...
I would rather have that games get the freedoms that movies and literature have. Let them speak. Let them show. Let them create. Art is and always has been freedom of expression. Video games are something I have always been passionate about and I always aim to prove that it is worthy of being art. Well done and well written!
The topic of sexism in video games has gone out of control. Plain and simple, there should have been no need to have this happen. The trophy name did not need to be changed. I swear, people are just looking intentionally for things to be offended by just so that they can comment harshly on it and make it seem like they are taking some moral high ground. In actuality, it makes them look more like people who seriously need to grow up or get a hobby.
Oh, number 25 is so bad, but so hilarious! Lol!
EA screwed themselves over with this one. It sounds like they really screwed over Maxis, too. Sim City really could have been something, but this DRM restriction just ended up costing them credibility (not that there is much left).
I'm going to use my last bubble to make a clarification. I know that my blog has been bumped off the front page, but by chance if you're a reader of my work and have come across this or just followed it from my comments, I will explain my reasoning behind this blog.
One, I wanted to share my impressions of the Sony press conference. I know there were like three to four other blogs about it, but they referenced more on potential and analysis. I wanted to give a step by...
I'm sure that since Kojima and Cerny are friends, they can figure out some concepts for the PS4. Besides, I'm pretty sure Cerny is keeping a lid on games for now until they can release more information at other events like E3. I can't wait for Ground Zeroes, though. It looks great.
Aw man, that boxart is badass. It's way better than what we are getting. Still, I can live with what we're getting. The game looks amazing anyway.
Knowing myself and others like DragonKnight, coolbeans, and Godmars290, I'm pretty sure we would enjoy it. Keep up the good work!
Misogyny is a word that some people just don't know how to use properly. The same goes for "overrated", "cliche", and "generic" being misused by many people, but I digress. When the word "misogyny" is used in terms of describing themes or characters in video games, it is most often for the worse.
In these cases, those who use the word don't know how it actually works or what it truly means. To say that Peach or Zelda represent m...
Nicely done, zerocrossing. I think you pretty much sum up the voice of those of us who think that Anita is missing a lot of key moments in video games that reflect on the best roles of women. I would very much like to see what you have to nominate as some of the best protagonist female characters or supporting female characters.
Nice video. Have you seen this one? I got to admit that the Amazing Atheist really makes a good analysis on this subject and responding to Anita's video. He isn't being antagonistic or a bully toward her. He is only making an observation and giving feedback. This video I have linked shows a unique view in regards to when he made points about male rights issues.

One million copies sold in just 48 hours? That's incredible. They really deserve it. It's a great game.
I watched that video, too. I actually facepalmed quite a few times during it. It's funny that she only pegged the Mario and Legend of Zelda franchises and even early arcade sprite titles. The thing I would want to stress to her is that the age of gaming that she is blatantly targeting was when it was in its youth.
Since video games were young and new to entertainment, staying safe with common fictional tropes was not uncommon. Good guy versus bad guy, woman in need of hel...
I like Assassin's Creed for the story and gameplay. The time periods they touch base on are cool, too. You don't see many people in entertainment base their product on the Crusades, the Renaissance, or the American Revolution. And now they are going to do pirates. It will be interesting to see how it goes.
You're not understanding my specification. I'm addressing PC *fanboys*. Not PC *gamers*, PC *fanboys*. They do the same thing that Playstation, Nintendo, and Xbox fanboys do all the time, but consistently base their argument of superiority through power of a built PC. I do not blatantly call out PC gaming as a plague or that PC sucks or that PC gaming is inferior. I'm not being antagonistic. I'm just giving my opinion and for me the conference was good.
Well, I'm sorry you feel that way, but I can reassure you that I'm not a Sony fanboy. I just gave my impression of the conference. If anything, I game on PC as well as Wii U and Xbox 360. I don't want to bash on PC gamers, but I will address PC fanboys about their bashing of consoles that they see as inferior for trivial reasons.
I also see that you're getting tired of PC gamers and PC in general getting bashed from console gamers. Again, I reassure you that I...
Suits and stockholders do not care for the industry period. They only care about money and using cheap tactics to make that money. They have no passion for the industry. They would rather cater to the bigger audiences and create more ways to generate revenue.
That's why action has replaced horror. That's why DLC is so common. That's why games are being shipped out haphazardly. That's why there are so many problems with online only games.
When ...
She did a fantastic job as Lara. She is so dedicated and I'm really hoping that Crystal Dynamics would continue on with this new look for Tomb Raider. It really is one of the best games of 2013.
