Jim has a point here. The trailer for Grand Theft Auto V does show promise, but fun is a relative term in the industry. Rockstar nor the video mentioned anything about targeting a "set audience". The community of Grand Theft Auto is already huge. They know what they want to do to keep the game appealing and replayable. Quite a few groups know how to make their games the way they want as opposed to how others do by thinking mass appeal.

I was very disappointed by Res...

@georgeenoob Practically every comment you have has to do with some delusion that it's always Sony fanboys who are behind the negative press against Microsoft. Microsoft have no one but themselves to blame for the negative press they receive.

"And are you guys seriously trying to justify the boo'ing? Wow, N4G really is pathetic and immature just like this EVO audience."

Don't like the site? There's the door. On topic: the booing isn&...

I think it's rather clear that Microsoft have practically screwed themselves in the upcoming holiday season. Keep in mind, this didn't happen at E3 or at some other conference. This was EVO. These were gamers who booed because of their impression with the Xbox One and Microsoft. There is nothing to hold them back from voicing their opinion.

Do I feel bad for the Double Helix guys? Well, yeah, I do. But in all honesty they should expect two things out of making a long ...

@Gunsmoke: I doubt abzdine meant "tons" in the literal sense of the definition. Besides, like Godmars said, can YOU list tons of exclusives that the Xbox 360 has for this year? Oh, and the exclusive games look bleak? Tell me, what kind of taste in games do you have?

Because games like Rain, Puppeteer, Beyond: Two Souls, Tales of Xillia, and The Last of Us have more personality and creativity than Forza Motorsport or Kinect Sports Rivals. You laughing off the list pr...

Microsoft should take some lessons here. When you're trying to get information about your product out to the consumer base, then you need people who can deliver the message clear and without PR crap. Nintendo and Sony have been straight up in their endeavors with their systems and games through E3 and even now. Microsoft's head honchos just try to throw features and catch words (like "magic" and "future") at us expecting us to buy into the Xbox One.

Agreed. Also, I'm eager to see how much of a role the new characters from 400 Days will play in the second season. They are all very interesting and I loved how Telltale put them all together at the end.

I think it's more so that PC fanboys just love being able to show off the graphical power of their computers. Another common trait of PC fanboys is how they can list everything in their PC that they spent money on. To me, that's how it usually comes off as them wanting consoles to fall. I think it's just more so that they are too proud of their gaming platform. Their egos just become bloated as a result.

I have a few friends who have very good PC rigs, but game on...

This has to be a trolling campaign if I ever saw one. One thing that sticks out are the amount of signatures they need to complete their petitions: 10,000 signatures. Um, you would think that a petition would need more than that to get a point across. That's barely a fraction of the entirety of the video game community (and internet for that matter). That includes both petitions equaling 11,000 people.

The comments are even more blatant in reeking of trolling. Or they are...

Very true. IGN videos on Youtube are known for that. Although I've seen the same thing with other Youtube video game review videos and even on Gametrailers. Sometimes you just need to make the best of it (like what we do with joking around) or just ignore them.

If you happen to be reading this from the June contest results Cat posted, I'd like to say thank you all for commenting and sharing your thoughts. The video game industry is an important industry with one of the most passionate communities around. Granted, that same community has its share of jerks and trolls, but for the majority there are many who have a good head on their shoulders and it shows.

N4G has some of the best writing from ordinary gamers who write so they ca...

Last month saw a lot of great blogs and reviews. I think the writing is getting stronger as the months go by, too. Thanks for the Amazon gift card and thanks to everyone who reads my blogs and reviews! =)

"OMGWTFBBQ! This is SO my game of the year! You don't understand the masterpiece that you dissed!"

*angry gamer continues ranting*

Unfortunately, that's how quite a number of people can get when another person doesn't agree with their opinion. I think you hit the nail on the head there. Besides, the average scores for the game range from five to six and the general opinion is that it may capture Deadpool well, but it doesn't look or...

The most common thing I've heard from my coworkers to my friends to certain reviewers is, "It's good with the writing and Deadpool, but terrible as a game". I think what ended up happening was they were expecting Deadpool to carry the game the whole way based on his reputation, but it's just incredibly lackluster and doesn't have a big replayability factor.

Forza and Halo have been mainstays in the Xbox brand. So, in essence, they are nothing new. Quantum Break has barely any details since E3. Sure, it looks interesting, but without more details Xbox owners are likely to pass it up. D4 is another game with little details revealed. If the Kinect is to be used in D4 and Crimson Dragon, then it may make gamers paused before their purchase.

I don't see these as titles Playstation gamers have to be jealous over. Microsoft and the...

With everything ranging from the Xbox One reveal to the interviews to the E3 press conference and now Don Mattrick leaving, I think Microsoft is in their most vulnerable place yet. And they have no one to blame but themselves. They put themselves in the position they are in now because they don't understand their consumers. Their only ambition was to push their agenda into the next generation, but all of their features are things gamers don't want.

Very well written article. Microsoft have indeed gone off the deep end and they don't seem to be recovering too well. Even with their changing of a couple policies, a lot of consumers' minds are made up. Many people who I talk to are not bothering with the Xbox One. At this point, Microsoft have no one to blame but themselves for the position they are in right now.

No kidding. When they mentioned that Rare have worked on a new title for the Xbox One, I actually thought it was going to be Killer Instinct 3, but instead it was another Kinect Sports game. Then they release the trailer for Killer Instinct 3 and almost everyone thought that that was the game Microsoft meant.

Then I saw Double Helix attached to it. The same guys behind G.I. Joe The Rise of Cobra, Battleship, and Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters are making the next Killer...

Can't say you don't try. He isn't the only Xbox owner to think Mario is available on the 360.

Being someone who has worked in retail, I can honestly say that I did give a damn about customers. I've worked primarily in electronics and video game retail to which I put my knowledge to use and utilized it in helping other people with what they hoped to do. Being in the retail business can be stressful, but it's the good people who buy the products the companies I have worked for who help me get by in my life.

Yes, Sony is a business and they may not directly love ...
