That line about how parents treat video games as an "electronic baby sitter" rings all too true in many different cases. I cannot tell you how many times in the years I worked retail that parents would leave their kids in the store so they could go to another location. It is completely irresponsible of them to do that. I got paid to maintain the store and help customers, not babysit children. Parents these days need to shape up and be more responsible.
Put me on the spot why don't ya? Lol! If I can find it to rent, I'll give it a go. Then I'll let you know how it went. However, after hearing what both you and Angry Joe have said, I'm fearing for my gamer sanity. >.<
I was wondering when you were going to review this after you commented on the Angry Joe review for it. I can easily see this game getting Worst Game of 2013 from many people.
That...doesn't make any sense whatsoever. That's the equivalent of someone reviewing a game based on watching a walkthrough on Youtube alone. If you didn't play the game, there's no sense to comment on it being good or bad. First impressions are acceptable, but you don't have the personal experience to back-up your writing.

I'm thankful for my family, friends, Marvel comics, video games, and having he passion and determination to write.
Well, Mighty No. 9 was successfully funded on Kickstarter. It hit all of its stretch goals, including being on next generation consoles. So, we have that to look forward to.

If Sony did hire Inafune to develop games on the PS4, that would be awesome, too.
Ah, yes, the ever growing problem in the world today of the common media consumer confusing what is actual good entertainment to just flat out crap. I know there is an audience for everything, but reality television does not equate to the best points of view from viewer or participant. It's always the same, tired, repeated formula seen in multiple shows including The X Factor and The Voice. If I want to read up on the opinions of someone about a game or console, I would want it to be a ga...
Agreed. They are all very likable. Also, I find Yoshida's picks interesting. It would be a task for myself to only pick 10, but I would really have to buckle down and think about it.
Oh, God, I hope it's true! Crash was so misused under Activision's control. Please, please, please, let Sony have Crash Bandicoot back!
This is a waste of an article and I cannot on good conscience approve it. The "interviews" are falsified as no serious gaming site would publish drivel like that. I mean, use of celebrities to conceal identities? Really? It fails as a parody piece and isn't humorous in the slightest.
Good read. I'm actually surprised that he opened up the conversation about the former policies they had and intend to blame gamers for not "understanding". Meanwhile, it took multiple other sources to find out information from Microsoft. Information that Microsoft neglected to mention before at major events. The level of arrogance from key personnel didn't help matters either. Microsoft chose to stay quite about most of the policies they had and then got called out for them....
It is such a shame that Adam Sessler has fallen to the kind of lows that he has. I used to follow him on G4 through X-Play primarily and before the channel became "less geek, more chic".
*shudders*
It was a dark day indeed when I heard that quote. On topic, Sessler has fallen under the same strain of video game journalists who believe they are owed some form of entitlement from the industry and gamers. Said strain also pumps sensationalism without ...
Exactly. We should be looking at a game on its own merits (gameplay, sound, plot, controls), not for the specs. For example, Battlefield 4 will play same and be the same on all platforms it's on. No resolution, frame rate, or video card can change that game's presentation or modes. Like you said, "specs are a guideline".
"Why is it that when discussing graphics in a PC vs console format, graphics don't matter as much and it's all about the games, but once it becomes a matter of console vs console, graphics take center stage as proponents from each side engage in a blood lust fueled fervor?"
Well said, but in terms of the console vs console part with graphics, you can add exclusive games and company history to that list. You will have fanboys on either camp saying that the PS...
What's interesting about his latest video (and I know I said I wouldn't go back, but I wanted to see him eat his words) is that he made a slight acknowledgement that it went bad. Before he made it seem like his "insider" information seem so legit and that it was so important. He amped it up. He hyped the living crap out of it. And now he just says it "went to s***" because someone from the actual development company said Ghosts will run 1080p native on PS4 and can ...
Skimming through some of his pages and titles, it would seem as though that MisterXmedia is very anti-Sony. He keeps bringing up subjects from "sources" that make extravagant claims about how the PS4 is messed up in one way or another and that Sony is covering their tracks with faulty equipment. Or something ridiculous like that.
Just seems to me like someone who wants to gun for Sony and boost Microsoft's reputation. At that, the community on his site is very r...
That video was the equivalent of bait articles that list the supposed "worst" or "must die" video game franchises. Seeing that video was the first time I saw this Youtube channel, but rest assured I'm not visiting that one again. I don't know if this Rich guy has much or if any credibility given that he is working off of "sources" that make outrageous claims like what he listed. For me, that video is full of misinformation and was just made to get hits. P...
Thank you, lex. It would be awesome if Nintendo did respond in some way. I read somewhere and that TopDudeMan mentions below that Nintendo did have a little jab at PETA before. I wish I could find the actual source somewhere, but no luck so far. I liked what Ubisoft said, though. Sarcastic, yet genius.
I believe a Youtuber known as AlphaOmegaSin puts it best in that there are many shelters and groups out there that need help and PETA has the ability to it. PETA has the money to be able to support other organizations with their issues. Yet, PETA doesn't. They would rather waste time and money on something as pointless as a flash parody "game". On top of that, they tell us that we are being callous because we play Pokemon?
I really want to see what PETA can clai...
It sounds like your neighbor is one seriously ignorant parent. She is the one who is enabling her daughter to play and get games for her console. She is basically complaining to your mother, "Your son is responsible for me buying my daughter video games". That's a very long reaching excuse if I ever heard one.
