PETA has these ridiculous policies that result in them killing most of the animals they take in. It's a complete joke and so contradictory of them in that they claim to be for animals, yet they euthanize so many every month. At that, these are perfectly healthy and friendly animals that they are killing. PETA has the money to support the animals they help.

They just simply refuse to have them in their shelters for more than a day or week at a time. Makes you think that th...

It truly is a blatant slap to all of our faces from PETA just because we are fans of Pokemon. I just got myself Pokemon Y and I'm loving it (not to make a reference joke from McDonald's there).

I also just watched the Pokemon Origins episodes where they condemn Team Rocket for how they use and abuse Pokemon. It was perfect. It was exactly what one of the main themes of Pokemon is. It shows that, yes, there are people in the Pokemon universe who see Pokemon as tools fo...

I know everyone is losing their minds over this, but not everyone knows who Daz Dillinger is. Hell, I don't know who he is. Of course, my taste in music wasn't and isn't the same as everyone else's. So if I get disagreed for not knowing one single person in the music industry or get the reaction of "how could you not know who he is", then my only defense is I didn't listen to rap growing up or even now. I can respect that there was good rap in the 90s, but I stil...

Not just movies, but music and comics too. Remember how people flipped their lid when Elvis had that hip dancing or when The Beatles came around? Parents were shielding their children from something they don't understand or like. And look at how it is today. We regard those people as idiotic because Elvis' dancing wasn't anything explicit or graphic and The Beatles have fantastic albums.

Comics faced the same scrutiny. As soon as World War II was over, comics adap...

I remember seeing a list somewhere that detailed why a video game would have a high budget. The top two reasons were marketing and multiplayer. Marketing because of some insane stunts and advertisements that a company comes up with. Multiplayer for adding a completely new mode that might be very extensive, yet time consuming. I just can't remember where I read that. I'll try to find that link. But, yes, some companies need to get smarter about their budgets.

Square Enix I agree with. Couple that with their high expectations for some of their games. Did Blacklist seriously have 300 developers on it? I gotta look that up. O.o

I totally agree with you on how Capcom has been this generation. I often talk with my friends about what will happen to Capcom now and the fate of their franchises. If they don't conjure up a safe strategy that benefits both themselves and gamers, then they are screwed. Which franchises would you want to see get sold should Capcom end up like THQ and to whom?

Capcom certainly has a lot of things to fix. I still play Power Stone with my friends and I not that long ago picked up Dino Crisis from a retro store. Those games certainly show where the magic was with Capcom. Boy do I wonder what would become of the franchises should Capcom follow the fate of THQ.

Your welcome, too. :D After reading your blog I kept up with the Kickstarter that entire day until I had to step out of the house. I was so surprised by the strength Mighty No....

Good grief, that's incredible! They hit every stretch goal they had. That's all kinds of amazing.

No kidding it's a success. An hour and half left and we are at almost four million dollars with almost sixty-five thousand backers. It's a big message to developers and publishers that gamers still want games like this. I'm very excited to see the update video for when this is all over.

They currently have eight hours to go with sixty thousand backers and almost three and a half million dollars to work with. The amount of support this project has is simply incredible. I am so glad that the community has pulled together to help Inafune with his project. I can't wait to see how it will turn out.

Terrible review. It is nothing more than an angry fanboy rant that is coupled with some of the lamest nitpicking I have ever seen. How does a game like The Last of Us score a 2.7 out of 10? Scores like that are reserved for games that are damn near broken and unfinished. This "review" is fishing for hits.

That beginning part had me laughing. I'm glad Joe covered many things with GTA V because there is a lot to talk about. It is amazing how much stuff their is. I'm not even done yet.

I see that happen all too often. Parents complain to the sales associate because they weren't informed about it. Ratings are easily seen on the boxes and the workers have to explain it to them anyway. This is especially for the case of seeing a kid with them.

@ Eonjay

Yes, parents should do their research, but many of them don't because they are lazy. They choose not to inform themselves. They just assume that so long as they are with the kid at an R ...

This has been an issue for Redbox for years. This has also happened to my friend multiple times. Rent a movie? No disc. Rent a video game? A sliver of a bar code is left. Then we are out a couple dollars because some jerk stole it and probably sold it to GameStop or The Exchange.

Also, when those people who steal the discs and sell them to those retailers, the workers can't prove anything even with seeing the seal on the disc. Unfortunate thing is that those discs were bl...

Ha! Yeah, I never understood how a .6 or .8 can be that differing for a score. For me, it's either I can meet halfway with say a 7.5 (like what I gave Lollipop Chainsaw) or you go all in with a full number. There should for sure be a set standard.

It's also one thing to read a review, but another to see a game in action. Youtube is a great place for videos. I always recommend going there for coverage. I'm the same way with franchises, too. More often than not, I h...

I agree. Ghastly is certainly a good word to describe that kind of situation. The fact that advertising has that influence is troubling, too. If there's something else to be taken from the list you have, it's that I would rather be paid in money rather than games. Granted, getting free games is always cool, but I would be technically working for a check not free merchandise. Just makes me think about how badly twisted journalism has become.

True, sometimes people can look passed the flaws in a game even though said flaws are glaring for others. Joe's Skyrim review is a good example of this. What I don't understand is even at the prospect of being blackballed by publishers, why do some big name sites blatantly look passed an obviously broken game?

Sim City received no sympathy from many due to poor server support and glitchy issues, so why is Total War: Rome II so special? If it is something about being w...

Fox News is only good for sensationalism and creating controversy. They smell blood, they swarm and proceed to rake in revenue from ratings. I've said it before, I'll say it again, "The news media do not care about what they report on. They do it for money and only money. They are the instigators of violence, not pop culture".

Any analyst who doesn't have a political agenda or a stick up their rear will tell you that the news media are the accomplices of...

@ candoa

That has to be the dumbest reason why you buy a product. You shouldn't buy a product based on the fact that it was made it your home country. You should buy products that have value, quality, and work properly.

Your comment reeks of those old "Buy American" commercials for automobiles. There's a reason why Americans bought European and Japanese cars in droves: they are better products. If someone from Japan wants to get a PS4, then ...
