This is interesting, because if memory serves me correctly, Ubi was onboard with the Wii, and Wiiu with excitement at the very beginning, then jumped ship soon after.
Have people forgotten the the S replaces the original fat? The Scorpio is not going to be for all gamers, and it isore than a year away so the S was a great move by MS, going forward. They get their costs down, fix some design issues, so I am optimistic about the S.
Can't we woulda should coulda everything? Obviously the design wasn't possible at launch or it would have been.
Well, Sony is all things good, MS, well, you know.
If the Neo doesn't spell doom for PS4, the Scorpio doesn't spell doom for the x1.
It is a great idea.
Gamers, devs continue to whine about consoles not being powerful enough, and MS gives them the power with the Scorpio, not to mention that all previous X1 games work, accessories work, Xbox 360 BC games work going forward, so how is the Scorpio doom for the X1? Why are these topics only against the Xbox, yet Sony is doing something similar?
The report says the Playstation makes up 78% of Sony's profit. That is scary given the many Sony studios, TVs, segments they have their hands in. Playstation may be on top now, but we have seen quickly how things can turn in this market, with a misstep or two. If the Xbox fails, Miscrosoft isn't going bankrupt. Everything is on the back of the PS.
The Best Buy ad says you get $125 for trade in
People keep bringing up the handheld part of this. I have zero interest in a handheld. People also keep saying a PS4 clone. I disagree, wanting a traditional Nintendo console with updated specs is not saying it is a clone.
I get why Nintendo would go this route given their success in the handheld market, and given how the Wii tanked at the end and Wiiu never got off the ground, but It is just not what I wanted.
I wish them well, though. I wonder h...
This is silly to me. Anyone who has owned an X1 should be used to when you pull it out of the box having to install apps and have features updated. For some to just think, the functionality would be in the consoles out of the gates, well, is hilarious to me. Just update the console and move on with life.
Well, I was hoping to get a traditional Nintendo console so that I can come back to Nintendo and enjoy the Nintendo games with Neo or Scorpio like specs. This is not what I envisioned as I don't want a handheld hybrid. For those of us who wanted a traditional console this is terrible news, but saves me a lot of money that I can just pour into Sony and MS.
I agree. Devs should put their games on as many platforms as possible.
I don't know, maybe for the 3DS. I was never a fan of the 3DS, and although I own a Vita, don't really care much for handhelds. I was hoping for a traditional Nintendo console, but will keep an open mind as the release date closes in.
I agree 100%. A big middle finger to those like us that have been Nintendo fans since the Nes.
I don't see how, but if rumors are true about the NX we will see. Based on the rumors, the NX is a handheld console hybrid, with power even below the current consoles, so I guess it is good to be optimistc, but unless the hybrid is cheap, I see it sharing the same fate as the Wiiu from a console standpoint. I Don't expect what happened with the Wii to happen here. This sucks for me as I have zero interest in a handheld.
We are at 40 mill plus in 3 years and some think Sony will be at 60 in 2017. I don't see that happening.
No surprise, no one is buying the Wiiu or games for it not made by Njintendo, and given The Rumors We See With The NX as a hybrid, which I have zero interest in a handheld, I don't see that turning things around for Nintendo in the console market.
Really interesting given how the Sony fans jumped on this game and every game that has come out this gen. Their answer is just put the games on the PS4 and they will sell well. Yeah, right, this is another reason why I put no stock in exclusives. I own all the play consoles and play the games on whatever platforms they are on. Devs need to get their games on as many platforms as possible is what I think they should do to give them the best option to move as much software as possible, and ...
No surprise since many apps require an update. What else is new for X1 owners?
I thought they did that with the Wiiu which was a huge failure
Nice, I just picked mine up from Best Buy
